When I was getting fitted for glasses I just wanted to get what the insurance would completely pay for-which was one pair of frames on the rack. I didn't want any of the extra add-ons or insurance and even after saying no it was continuously repeated to me. I get that it's their job to sell but if I say I don't want it, I don't want it. I also had retinal imaging done while I was there and I was informed that it wasn't covered by the insurance, it was a $30 charge. I had it done and as I was sitting with the optician my break down of benefits that she had in front of her very clearly stated that retinal imaging was covered under my plan. They still charged me and said that they will bill my insurance for the procedure but it wasn't a covered service. I later spoke to my insurance and they did confirm that the break down of benefits was correct and that I shouldn't have been charged for the imaging. A few days after the appointment I called my insurance to make sure that the retinal imaging was billed, and the office left it off the claim. The office in turn lied when they said they would still bill my insurance. The office staff also gave me a problem when I asked for my pupillary distance and my frame measurements. I understand that they want the patients to order frames through their office, but in the event that I need to replace my glasses, I will not pay the hundreds of dollars when there are much more affordable ones online and a much wide seThe patient has every right to obtain their own information and the office can't withhold it for their own benefit.

She continues to display the utmost professionalism, expertise, honesty, and if needed empathy. We always leave our visit knowing she has the best interest in the well being our vision. Additionally, the staff is and always has been fantastic. "Moddi" continues to be an expert in helping us pick out just the right glasses for our face frame... We were extremely apprehensive to attend our visit during Covid 19, as I am an OSHA Safety Trainer as well as an Educator in Infection Control Practices, I unconsciously watch to see if everyone is following guidelines. Needless to say, this office practice was spot on and received a 100. The door was locked and only patients who had an appointment were allowed to enter. The entire office was immaculate, seats and touch areas were immediately washed after use. Masks all worn properly, hands washed, touch surfaces such as countertops were washed, glasses that were tried on were sanitized, equipment washed in front of us prior to use. Where to start? TLDR; wrong billing for insurance, then tried to get yet more $ out of me to…read morecorrect; badly wrong PD on Rx that rendered this year's AND last year's glasses worthless. Longtime patient. My insurance pays for either contacts or glasses 1x per year, not both. Last year did contacts - fine. This year, was very specific about glasses Rx. Received the Rx, but also "just because I was there" was talked into a quick contact eval which amounted to putting in the lenses and reading the chart; no change in Rx. There was no corneal eval, no rotation check, nothing, but I paid some extra at checkout for the service. Then the problems: insurance wouldn't pay for glasses because Prudhomme had billed for a contact fitting. After several increasingly aggravating calls, they billed the insurer correctly (but initially told me I'd need to pay even more $ for the contact eval; eventually they relented). For several reasons I ended up buying glasses from another vendor my insurer recommended, and - surprise! Prudhomme had my PD Rx wrong (too narrow) by about 10mm. Not sure how this is going to go with the current glasses vendor, BUT after a couple hours, it occurred to me I bought glasses a year ago (2024) that were unwearable - turns out Prudhomme put the wrong PD on THAT (earlier) Rx too, complete waste of my money.

No one told me only one doctor was on. At 2:05, I asked why I was still waiting. "Sometimes things happen that change the schedule by a few minutes." I responded that 30-40 minutes is not "a few minutes." I wasn't able to escalate my complaint as the office manager was not in. The receptionist, while pleasant, was useless. I left. I had plans in the afternoon, and my time is valuable. At 2:10, I received a call from the doctor. He said there had been earlier "emergency," but he could see me now "without having to wait." Only, I had already waited. I said I wouldn't be coming back then or ever. The next morning I received an auto-email as if I'd no-showed for the appointment, reminding me to "reschedule for a better time." The customer service was awful, and neither the receptionist nor the doctor cared about wasting my time and did not offer a discount or incentive for me to return.
