Strawberry lychee snow w/ lychee jelly
    Evan Z.

This is an interesting place to review because I usually rate boba shops purely on the taste of the drink. But I don't think that would be fair for Oasis. The drink itself was good but nothing super special, I got the strawberry & lychee snow with lychee jelly and no modifications on the sugar; it was a little sweet and syrup-y but the snow itself was delicious and the flavor was nice too - would say it's around a 4.3/5. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But what is great about this place is that it's open late night (until midnight) and inside there's simple board games that you can enjoy with friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's plenty of places to sit inside and the tables are big enough to sit with larger groups of friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was fine, they let us stay a little past midnight to finish our chess game. 4.9/5 One quick note: I've heard the food here is pretty bad. I saw the popcorn chicken and curry, it looked pretty dry and it my friends didn't seem to enjoy it for the taste. Overall, 4.6/5.

Oasis will always have a special place in my heart because a friend first introduced me to it when I visited Seattle long ago. After an informative visit at the Wing Luke Museum, we came here to grab a bite (popcorn chicken FTW) and boba and catch up. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This was one of the largest boba places I've ever been to, and that night it was hopping with activity with lots of patrons having fun and enjoying boba.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Located at the heart of Chinatown (very close to a Link station), there are plenty of great restaurants and community orgs nearby, giving it a warm, welcoming feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There are also lots of drink options, and sometimes they have seasonal drinks you can try too. You're able to customize the sweetness level and select from a large menu of cold and hot drinks alike. I can't visit Seattle without visiting Oasis!

Overall, Oasis is a decent boba shop. It's been the OG spot for years but with so much more competition now theirs much better options. I got the Fruity Pebbles Blended drink. Sometimes I'll get the Pineapple Blended. It taste great but at times there's some inconsistency. Such as having ice chunks. I would still give it a try for yourself. They have many options & you'll be bound to find something of your liking.

Peach Milk Tea with Mango Popping Pearls. (and cute straws)

I love Oasis Tea Zone in U District! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe was super chill -- not loud at all -- so it was easy to relax and hang out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I went with my husband and his two friends for our friend's birthday, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the booth we chose was perfect for four people and playing board games.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The prices are good and everything we ordered was great. I found my new favorite drink: the peach milk tea with mango popping pearls. SO good. I also love their mango smoothie -- it's milk-based, not sugary, really light. I literally drank two peach milk teas myself. We also got the mix-all sticks and fries. The fries were a bit saltier than usual but still tasty, and they gave us good to-go bags, ketchup, and napkins. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, such a great experience with amazing drinks and a cozy place to chill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely a full 5 stars!

The food (grilled cheese and waffle) was good. Next time I will try their Millie cake dessert. The service was awesome the molk tea ordered came out quickly, but the grilled cheese need more time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A milk teas and more Cafe shop with plenty of seats.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They open late night.

The drinks were very good and although it was very busy we got our drinks out very quickly. Like in about 5-10 minutes. They sometimes run out of certain flavors near the end of the night. I got a strawberry fruit tea with lychee jelly which was very good and what I expected. Would definitely come back and recommend to other friends. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Pretty popular hangout place at night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Probably one of the few boba places that are opened up very late. There are many options for drinks with a brief explanation of what the difference is in terms of category. There are also small bites too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is spacious and a good amount of seating is available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are board games you and your friends can play as well as some pinball machines too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The drinks were alright, it isn't anything too high end or fancy.

    Matcha Snow with Tapioca
    Ruby S.

Near to prepaid public parking. Casual, spacious and inviting ambience. Seating options. Employees were very cool and helpful. Eager to answer questions about beverages options and choices. Large Matcha Snow with Tapioca: Snow consists of ice, flavor and creamer. Blended ice was very smooth. Matcha was on point. Every tapioca that went through the straw passed the test. I enjoyed chewing on every fresh tapioca. This beverage lasted a few hours. This location offers an extensive menu of milk teas, flavored teas, snow, slush, some crafted milkshakes, fruit smoothies, real fruit juices, plethora of add ins, lunch, snack, and dinner. Best in the PNW based on The Seattle Times Winner 2023 The People's Choice.

This has been my favorite shop for more than 10 years. I've been a regular customer since I was a student and have always visited the Udistrict branch. My favorite drink is the strawberry slushy with rainbow jelly. Every time I come here, it brings back wonderful childhood memories.

Not related to boba but does anyone know the homeless dude who's outside the shop all the time? I see him every time I come here, just wondering what his story is.

I don't really know his story, but last time, I bought some chicken wings and asked him, "You want some?!". He then asked me, "what's that?" -"Chicken wings" -"No, I don't want that." I have no idea with his answer.

Is there an almond milk dairy-free option?

Yes, all of their slushes and snows are vegan. The slushes have no creamer and snows use a non-dairy creamer

Is the milk tea made of Non dairy creamer?

They clearly care about their image as they offer a free mug for first-time customers with an email sign-up. The drinks here are ok, but they average between $8-$10 each. I think the pricing is just much too high. You're paying for the vibes, not for a great cup of coffee. The matcha we tried was mediocre. There are so many other great places for coffee in Seattle, for just a fraction of the price. I think Storyville is preying on tourists visiting the market. They probably have to charge that much to keep the 8 employees milling about behind the counter employed. The space does have lots of seating, but it was nearly full during our early afternoon visit. Save your money, find another great local coffee spot!

This was on a Sunday afternoon close to 5pm, and there were still so many people occupying nearly every seat inside. I did come back to try their matcha matcha drink only to find it gone from their current menu as of May 2026. Instead, their turon matcha immediately caught my eye, as it has banana and I've been obsessed with banana-flavored toppings and puree on my matcha lately. It has matcha and house banana puree, both of which work well together. The tiny layer of house banana puree has all the flavor, especially when you mix the whole drink together. Very refreshing, and their ceremonial matcha's grassy tones still came out despite the banana puree being just as strong in the drink. Their matcha here comes pretty close to making it to the highest spots on my list of my most favorite matcha places in Seattle. Even if it isn't on the top of that list, their drinks are still 5+ star quality.

What I really loved is that the matcha isn't overwhelmed by milk. The tea itself is the star, giving it a rich, balanced flavor that really shines through. We ordered the matcha banana pudding and hojicha ginger tofu pudding lattes. Service took ~10 mins. The matcha banana pudding was yummy. The matcha was of good quality and the banana pudding top was a smooth, cream top that tasted just like banana pudding, with a fun crunch in the topping. The hojicha ginger tofu was a bit more adventurous in flavor. The ginger and tofu messed with my brain and made it feel like I was drinking a savory asian sauce/soup, but the drink was still sweet. I kept sipping, but the strange savory/sweet limbo never really balanced correctly to truly enjoy the drink. On the plus side, the silken tofu was fun to sip through the straw and added some protein. There is seating indoors, but the tables can fill up quickly. Some people were wfh, but most were chatting. There is 1 hr complimentary WiFi. Typical Seattle street parking. Overall, the latte flavors were fun to try and it was an aesthetic cafe. But, the prices for the lattes make them more of a novel, hyped up purchase.
