Debbie, the manager there, is hostile, rude and unprofessional. When I wired the deposit for my condo right in the beginning of business with them, she was rude on the phone and her attitude and tone of voice were very bossy and insulting. I told my agent about her bad attitude but my agent said that she was probably having a bad day because of how stressful the job is, so I let it go. One day before wiring the big down payment of the property which was Monday afternoon about 4:45, Debbie called me freaking out on me why I hadn't wired the down payment since Friday when I was waiting for their email to tell me to do so because that's what they had told me in an earlier email. " we are going to send you another email about the steps to follow when you wire the money." It was their fault I didn't get the second email and I wasn't even checked on for that purpose or asked about wiring and not a single memo or text for several days. it was very unprofessional on their part not to check at least Monday morning, but instead she called me Mon afternoon hostile, rude and yelling why I hadn't done so. She even suggested to go that moment at almost 5 pm to the bank and wire the money. She didn't believe me when I told her I was checking my email every hour even when I was at the dentist. But really and common sense, Why wouldn't I want to wire the money had I gotten the instruction to do so. The condo was a complete bliss to me. Of course I was very eager to do so. And because of this, I had to skip work the next day and go wire the money because she said we were running out of time. I couldn't wait for the whole process with her to end. What a bad attitude!
Victoria the notary lady was really nice. Raven, Debbie's assistant, was nice and professional while corresponding in emails. But after what happened towards the end and the wiring event, I sent her the confirmation number in an email and asked her to please confirm, but she ignored me and the email. I'm sure her manager wouldn't want her to be friendly to me anyway. I went to the office a couple of times to turn in some signed papers, and yes no online signing service used, PDF, and had to fill a couple of forms and sign them sitting on the floor because they didn't have chairs due to "Corona!" Well, if the office is open and people working there are sitting on chairs, then why wouldn't it be the same for respectful clients to be accommodated with chairs.
Debbie made me feel terrible and I had anxiety for several days for the way she spoke to me.
I don't recommend The Neighborhood Escrow. You should put your money somewhere else where you are respected and valued. It wasn't up to me though. I was the buyer and had to go along with the seller's agent choice. read more
