We came to Neko when we were in the area and it was lunchtime. We're always up for trying a new-to-us restaurant! Street parking was easy but you do pay by app. We also love a bibimbap stone bowl meal. Hubby also ordered a hamachi appetizer. $4 for one piece. He was disappointed....it wasn't as fresh as our favorite sushi place and the flavor also wasn't as good. BUT...we both liked our rice stone bowls. We ordered them with chicken (they also have beef). We loved how sizzling hot the bowls were because that creates the crispy rice at the bottom! Yum! There were also greens and bean sprouts, fried egg, and carrot. A bottle of gochujang was also placed on the table to add as we liked. Overall, this was a good lunch!

Have driven by Neko so many times and finally tried it tonight. We loved the fried rice and the sushi was great! We're pretty picky about sushi as well. Everything was very tasty. I forget all the names I know we got Bengal, Yellowtail + Scallion, Crunchy Munchy, Spicy Shrimp Tempura. The fried rice was also VERY good. One of the best in the city.

Got a large order of sushi takeout for a small party that I was hosting. I found that they had a very extensive menu with good options for everyone, and they prepared our order quite quickly. Definitely some of the best sushi in town.

I went here for Restaurant Week and it was very good The service was great and it was her first day She did fantastic My meal started with a spring roll and miso soup then veggie sushi One roll was avocado cucumber and a sweet potato roll The sweet potato was absolutely delicious The next was mushroom bimbimpop It was not my favorite no broth lack of flavor Overall a success

Spicy Ramen with added mushrooms and kimchee.

This cozy spot is my absolutely favorite for ramen. I typically go for the spicy vegetable ramen and add mushrooms. It is always served piping hot and the spice level is perfect. This is great for us spicy food lovers because we can skip our requests for a side of hot oil or pepper flakes and just dive right into ramen heaven. lol. This particular visit, I added kimchee per the owner's recommendation and it totally elevated my soup. It felt good that she recognized me after several months hiatus. The service felt heartfelt. For that, Neko has a friend in me forever. Dine local.

A fantastic, tucked away neighborhood sushi restaurant! Came here first a spontaneous lunch out on a Friday and got a seat right away. There aren't a ton of tables inside so I imagine they can get pretty busy at night. They have some great deals on lunch specials. My wife took advantage of the Bento box deal and I got a few rolls, some miso soup, and we split some crab rangoons. The sushi is made fresh behind the bar which was lovely! The menu is affordable, especially for fresh made sushi like this. Overall, this is a fantastic local spot to get some affordable sushi. We'll definitely be back!

Sunday morning roll in the back and Crunch Roll

I've been coming here since before Covid and the service and the sushi is always amazing! One of my favorite places for takeout sushi that's inexpensive and really good. The Sunday morning roll is definitely a favor.

The sushi was great and they had a great selection of rolls and other entrees as well. I would go back any day!

Love stopping by here when we want a cozy dinner out. It's a quaint corner restaurant with limited seating, so get here early because they go fast. They have a broad selection of sushi and a limited selection of Korean food which was a pleasant surprise. Our table got a mix of items and we all enjoyed what we ordered. Ended up going for the Neko Salmon Sushi roll, which is torched to perfection with spicy mayo. If you like seared salmon, definitely try this one. The other roll I got was the Spicy Shrimp Tempura, which was just okay. Lots of sauce and imitation crab which masked the flavor of the shrimp. Otherwise, service was great -- our server checked up on us regularly and promptly brought silverware to our table when he realized we didn't have any with our food. Neko is clearly a Cincinnati staple for many people, and It's clear why -- cozy restaurant, fresh fish, good service, cute cat design on everything..

Really enjoyed my first time at this sushi restaurant. We were able to walk right in and sit down - didn't need a reservation for a Friday night. The sushi was delicious and was a really good size. The one roll we had had "mountain" in the name and it was HUGE. Overall great experience and we will definitely be back.

Sashimi Sampler (3 tuna, 3 yellowtail, 3 salmon)

Enjoyed my first time here! The inside is cozy and clean. The seating is limited but it was not busy (late lunch time) so we got sat quickly. The agedashi tofu appetizer was flavorful with a nice crust outside, soft tofu, and warm light sauce! The naruto roll did not have any rice but the fish, cucumber, and sauce was clean and refreshing. The spicy tuna had a nice spice kick with a great ratio of rice/ fish. The sashimi sampler cuts were very generous and quality was decent. Overall good sushi! The restaurant is also in a very cute neighborhood so we walked around afterward. Will definitely be back!

    Rose Roll

The Rose Roll was gorgeous and tasty! The restaurant is small but cozy. It can get a bit loud if it is full.

Loved this place! We went for the first time last night. I am pregnant and they had so many cooked roll options. Can't wait to go back

It sure has been a LOOOOOOONG time since we've been to Wild Ginger. I was a little nervous reading…read moremore recent reviews telling me the restaurant had gone down hill. Our friend wanted to meet at Wild Ginger and I'm glad she did. We arrived first. I mentioned we were with the party of the person that made the reservation and we were seated. When our friends arrived we learned she requested to be seated in the back. Both of them have trouble hearing and sitting in the back away from the crowd made it easier to hear. The staff accommodated our move from the front to the back with aplomb. I ordered Spring Rolls and Sashimi Deluxe. The Spring Rolls were like a salad in a thin wrapping. The peanut sauce was delicious and overall I felt it was a super healthy choice. The roll filling was crisp and fresh. And now... Sashimi Deluxe. I was so pleased! The sashimi was delicious. Yummy sound-inducingly delicious. Even better was the dish did not include deep red tuna. This type of dense tuna always seems to end up on a sashimi deluxe meal and it is my least favorite. Hat's off to Wild Ginger for skipping it. Every fish was flavorful and melted in my mouth. I'd come back to Wild Ginger for my sashimi fix any day of the week. The miso soup was a bust. It was lukewarm at best and not very flavorful. Mark had Pad Thai. He said it was very good. He always gets Pad Thai when it's available so he has a lot of Pad Thai references for comparison. Wild Ginger again hit the mark. I would not hesitate to return for another delicious meal at Wild Ginger.

The place has really gone downhill in the past year…read more I've noticed a number of small things over time that have made it more and more disappointing to order from this spot, and today I've had two more issues with a recent UberEats order. The attention to detail that used to come through every time I ate here is kinda missing. Today's issue were overpriced summer spring rolls that were already busted open, didn't have any mint in them, but DID have old carrots and cabbage in them. How do I know they're old, some of the lettuce was browning and the carrot strips were browning/dried out. I don't even want to review the sushi roll I got. It's just sad.

I got two salmon rolls, crab rangoons, gyoza, and a poke bowl of sorts. It was a lot of food, but again leftovers were crucial. The food came quick and hot. The crab rangoons were delicious and the wontons were so crispy. Their rolls are pretty good, nothing amazing but still taste great. The gyoza is always super good and it comes with a sweet sauce instead of just soy sauce which I love. They were hot and perfectly cooked. Lastly I had the poke bowl. I usually get the same thing, salmon with cucumbers and carrots or onions. I always get it cold with white rice and some variations of sauces. It is a very big portion which I always save for the next day. It is very good, the only thing I wish was different is if they cut their vegetables into smaller pieces, they are very long and hard to eat sometimes. Fusabowl is a great go to and super easy meal, always on time and perfect with take-out orders.

I did find the young lady working the orders to be unfriendly and unhelpful and could not muster a smile when spoken to or smiled at. Like having a paying job was ruining her day. I tried in vain to find out from her what the toppings were because I couldn't see them well. They weren't full - maybe from a dinner rush - and I couldn't see what was in most containers. Because of that I only ended up putting two toppings on my rice and salmon. I gave up. My husband ordered a Spicy Tuna Roll and I ordered a bowl with Grilled Salmon. We also ordered the Crab Rangoon appetizer. My husband said the Spicy Tuna Roll was pretty good. Not great quality, of course, but better than grocery store sushi. My salmon was dry and overcooked but had good flavor. The Crab Rangoon was fried properly and tasted good. We didn't detect much crab flavor or see anything other than cream cheese inside. Overall - the food is ok and the service isn't.

Ordered green tea, a Jade Dynasty cocktail and pot stickers to enjoy while we perused the menu (including the picture book!). The pot stickers were delicious! More like meatballs inside, served with a I-don't-know-what-this-is-but-it's-delicious sauce. We ordered and were pretty quickly delivered our mains: How Fun noodles (level 2 spice) with chicken and Pepper Beef (level 3 spice). Both were outstanding! The sauces on both were savory and delicious. The noodles were great - not slimy like they can sometimes be but firm yet delicate. The chicken was tasty. The pepper beef was tangy and tender with a nice balance of peppers and onions. Serving sizes big enough for lunch the next day. Vibrant decor made the place really feel alive and servers were friendly and efficient. We found street parking but I assume this part of Covington gets busy on weekend nights so allow a few minutes to find a spot. Bonus tip: stop at DelGardo's down the street and get a couple cannoli for dessert. Perfect end to a delicious meal!

Restaurant was crowded but we were sat immediately. Service was good - not super attentive but we were able to order quickly. I had to ask for more water throughout the meal and then they brought checks and boxes before we asked while we were still eating. We ordered the dumplings, orange chicken and how fun noodles. They have a spicy scale of 1-10, I opted for the 5 on the how fun noodles, and they were spicy!! Made me wonder what a 10 would taste like. Dumplings were good - though the bottom broke on them while we were eating them. Definitely homemade! My daughter loved the orange chicken / it also had cucumbers which she didn't love. My noodles were okay - nothing memorable in terms of flavor and very spicy. Overall a bright, well themed restaurant but I don't think I'd go back for the food.
