I've had this place bookmarked for months now but never got a minute to check it out. I also love the location because there are other cute little restaurants and stores nearby. Probably wasn't the brightest idea to come here when it was freezing outside, nonetheless, it was delicious. I ordered the mango acai bowl and loved it. It was pretty large, filling, fruity and so yummy. My only complaint was that it was a tad bit too sweet because of the mango. Other than that, I loved it and would definitely come back for more. My boyfriend ordered the peanut butter acai bowl. It was nutty, the right amount of sweet and tasted really good. I would've preferred almond butter which I'm assuming they have that option so I might try that next time. I personally think acai bowls are overpriced in general. I've tried it all at Nekter and my go-to order it a Toxin Flush or the classic banana berry bowl with chia seeds on top. If I ever have a rough weekend of eating - a large Toxin Flush = my lunch. But I mean it helps that it's so yummy. I would have one everyday if I could. They also offer informative and easy cleanses, as well as bottled juice options with really great add in's to each. Such ashwagandha, which is great for anxiety and stress. The absence of a trendy salad bar in Snider Plaza led me to finally try Nekter despite being skeptical, but I couldn't be more pleased about it! While the service isn't great, it doesn't really matter since it's just a quick stop for me. My first time trying an acai bowl was here, and I feel like my life has truly been changed. That peanut butter acai bowl is something special. The textures of the smoothie with the crunchy granola and fresh fruit really compliment each other perfectly. One bowl is more than enough for one sitting (I eat mine in two) or sharing with a friend. While I LOVE both of the bowls I've tried, their juice is a major miss for me. Okay, so I'm new to this juicing thing. I know it's healthy by the look of it. I came in for a tonic juice to flush out my system. I also got an acai berry bowl with mix berries. I wasn't expecting the acai berry bowl to be that big. That could have been shared between two or three people. They have different bowls you could get. Some comes with coconut flakes and banana. I wanted more fruits in mine so I settled for the berry bowl. It had granola, fresh berries, and honey on top. The acai berry is blended like ice cream. It will be perfect for the summer! A healthier alternative to ice cream and sugar snow cones. As for the tonic juice, I didn't feel anything right away. I thought okay, maybe it doesn't work for me because I didn't drink enough. WRONG! It kicked in a day later and I felt it LOL it tasted like grass but it's nothing you can't handle. Don't expect it to be flavor with artificial sugar to sweeten it for you. Everything in it is natural as it is! If you wanted sugar juice, go to jamba juice. I felt healthy drinking it and it was refreshing! They have cleanses, too. If you're into that. I now consider myself a frequent visitor at Nekter as I find myself craving their mouthwatering Acai bowls at least once a week. I typically order the acai peanut butter bowl, previously called the pb bowl. It is my absolute favorite item on their menu. It's made with a mixture of peanut butter, strawberries, bananas, dates, and cashew milk topped with hempseed granola. It's a sweet, guilt free treat that fills me up at either breakfast or lunch. I recently tried their popular banana berry bowl. It tastes very similar to the peanut butter bowl but the blueberries give it a more tart based flavor. It was good, but the peanut butter bowl is still the reining champion in my book. The only downside is this particular location is in Snider plaza which can get pretty packed during peak hours. The juice bar itself has limited seating, but I've never had trouble finding a table when I'm there because most people take their juices and smoothies to go. read more
