I always get extra cacao nibs on them! Every item is always super fresh and not overly sweet. You can tell that they use fresh fruit and don't add any artificial sweeteners or sherbets. It always tastes great whether I go in and order it if I get it delivered. The sizing is also pretty large for the price in my opinion. We took our superfood smoothies to a local park to sip while walked our goldendoodle Midnight. When I hit my 30s, I realized that I needed to add a bit more healthier food in my life and less fast food. I'm past my 30s now, I still can't stomach the taste of fresh juicing and smoothies. But I sure dig those acai and pitaya bowls. My tastebuds sure happily tolerate those, especially the ones that are served up at Nekter. When cravings for power bowls strike, I hit up this Nekter location in Folsom. It's in a strip building in front of Lowe's. Easy parking. It's a tiny shop front with a few seats inside. It use to have more seating, but COVID and social distancing eliminated a lot of seating. It more of a grab n go. They offer 4 bowl flavors. Acai banana berry is my fave. Besides being delicious, all the ingredients are low FODMAP (excluding agave). The other 3 options are pretty darn good: acai mango, acai peanut butter ( almond butter substitution is $1 add on), and dragon fruit. I've had them all except the acai mango. You can get agave drizzle (no additional charge). It adds a sweetness and glossy syrupy look. The acai frozen mix is smooth (which I prefer ) over being icy cold slushy. The toppings including the granola look and taste deliciously fresh. Mmm. The menu includes smoothies, fresh juices, and pre-bottled juices. Checkout the seasonal flavors, lots of pumpkin choices right now. The prices are on par with like competitors. But gotta say, there are not alot of places in Folsom serving up acai bowls. read more

Always a nice visit after the gym to stop in for turmeric or ginger shots, fresh juices and smoothies. Staff is pretty friendly here. It's a small walk up and counter order establishment with a few indoor tables to sit at and a patio area as well. For breakfast I love the açaí bowls. My favorite is the açaí superfood bowl. It is topped with fresh fruit slices, hemp seeds, granola, chia and cacao nibs. My favorite smoothie is the Mango Delight. It's like a slice of fresh mango in smoothie form. The juices are a great meal replacer full of nutrients for really hot days when I'm not too hungry but need a little something for nourishment. For juices I love the Green Apple Detox and I add frozen pineapple. So delicious. The recovery is great too. read more

Personally, I liked this place a lot and find their fruit acai bowls to be really refreshing. My coworker friend feels "meh" about it. She said, "it's just ok compared to those in Hawaii." I guess if you don't have any comparisons, it's pretty good/great. So far, I've tried their Dragonfruit Acai bowl and the cold brew protein smoothie. Dragonfruit Acai bowl - perfectly tart and refreshing. It's topped with fresh bananas, strawberries, pineapple, granola, hemp seed, coconut flakes. Cold Brew Protein - a combo of cold brew coffee with banana, vanilla whey protein, cashew milk and agave nectar. It has an interesting taste due to this combination, but nonetheless, it's still a nice wakeup or pick-me-up drink. I'll be back to try other items for sure. Stopped here for a post-workout snack since my friend and I wanted a fresh acai bowl. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and the interior is bright and welcoming just like their other midtown location that I've been to. I ordered the acai mango bowl because I always get the peanut butter one, so I wanted to try something different. I asked if I could swap out the pineapples for blueberries instead and she said that wouldn't be a problem. My friend ordered the same exact thing. Later after checkout we realized that they charged for the substitution! I understand charging if you ask for extra of something, but not for a substitution... and if they do, they should definitely tell you about the charge to confirm that you're okay with it first. If I knew it would've been an extra charge, I would have just asked to take out the pineapples entirely. I couldn't find anything on the menu that said anything about a substitution charge, unless you're substituting almond butter instead of peanut butter. I didn't appreciate the shadiness behind that unfortunately but I was just going to count my losses (of $2). My friend is more outspoken than me and she asked if they could just give us some extra strawberries and blueberries, which they did, so that was nice that they did that. We asked for mangoes at first but she said they didn't use fresh mangoes, so that's something to note if you were curious in adding fresh mangoes to your bowl. As for the actual bowl, it was on the lighter side of flavor possibly because of the mangoes and pineapple, and felt more like slushy consistency. I didn't really taste mango at all because of the pineapple - It should definitely be named the acai pineapple bowl! I would stick to my usual peanut butter bowl next time because it feels more hearty and filling. I appreciate the amount of granola they give and that's my favorite part! I'm rarely in this area so I probably won't come back, but if you're looking for acai bowls this is the place for you, way better than a standard one at Jamba Juice! Always a great experience! We usually order from the Nekter app for pick up which is easy to navigate. In my experience our order is never ready before the estimated time so we usually arrive on time or a few min after. Service is friendly. Parking is free and ample. There is a seating area inside and out. We love the smoothies and the ingredients they use. It is pricey honestly but I enjoy everything we get and sometimes when I'm on the go I feel better getting a smoothie to go rather than eating something not as healthy. Will be back soon! read more

He was very patient and explained the entire menu to me. He recommended that I try a cleanse because I had been thinking about trying one. He briefly went over how the cleanse worked in detail as well as giving some pointers on how to officially do a 1-day cleanse. This place is amazing. I first became introduced to smoothie bowls at Jamba Juice, and even though they are delicious, they are also on the small, expensive, and very sweet side. My sister helped me move a month or so ago and brought over a smoothie bowl from Nektar that I tried. The damn thing was HUGE. I was shook how big it was! It had the most beautiful deep fuchsia color and after one bite I knew I had to hit up a Nekter in my area. I would later come to the Nekter in Folsom where I tried two of their amazing bowls. I ordered their energy bowl and I believe the banana berry for my novio. The bowls were easily twice the size of what I would get for the same price at Jamba Juice, and tasted less artificially sweet and was loaded with fresh fruit and toppings. Whenever I'm craving something wholesome to start my day I now look at Nekter to put me on the right track. Highly recommend! read more
