    Señorita bread (Stax)
    Ash S.

Extremely disappointing experience. I bought their señorita bread (or "stax" as they call it now) on April 8th, and the size was genuinely shocking, in the worst way. What used to be a satisfying treat now feels like a shrunken, overpriced version of itself. The quality has dropped off massively. It used to be soft, fresh, and soaked in that sweet, buttery goodness. Now? It tasted and felt like it had been sitting out all day, honestly reminded me of a stale Little Caesars pizza box. And it's not just the bread, their doughnuts are just as underwhelming. They look great on display, but that's about it. They're dry, crumbly, and clearly not fresh, as if they've been sitting around for days. Style over substance. What's worse is that while quality and portion size have gone down, the prices have somehow gone up. Hard to justify coming back after this. Service was buttery smooth. At least something was good

Came by to Bad Bakers - Folsom located on Placerville Rd in Folsom, CA on 6/17/26, I had the morning munchies. I got two meat filled buns (ham & cheese, and hot dog) and various donuts. When I told the staff member this was my first time visiting Bad Bakers, she promptly gave me a free sample and it was delicious. You can easily tell they made their products fresh daily. Thank you, Bad Bakers-Folsom for an awesome experience

Bad Bakers in Folsom isn't just popular for their sweet senorita honey rolls or gluten free mochi donuts! They have a variety of baked goods to satisfy your sweet or savory cravings! I can never pick just one of the items and always love trying something new. Tonight, I was given an amazing "surprise" box and it did not disappoint. I was able to share with my Dad, sister and my son and we all got to try something. Shoutout to the friendly and helpful staff. We will definitely be visiting again real soon.

They have a great selection of donuts and savory pastries. I live nearby so I tend to grab their staxx (senorita bread or starbread) for large group settings. They also offer an ube version of staxx now too. I didn't catch the name of the employee, but she was so friendly and explained the savory pastries well. I wasn't a fan of the sweet tomato sauce inside the pepperoni and cheese pastry but I'll be back to try other options!

Bad Bakers in Folsom is such a cool spot! Their donuts are next-level, more like boutique-style treats than your typical donut shop. Each one looked amazing and tasted even better. The best part...They give you little syringes to inject your own filling -- such a fun and creative touch! The flavors were great, the texture was soft and rich, and the whole experience felt unique. Definitely worth the visit if you're in the mood for something sweet and different!

$40 and looks like this!!!!! So disappointing

So disappointed, was one of my fave spots but quality has gone downhill my kids were heartbroken when I came from with these

After a having to fast for blood draw at Sutter, decided to stop by and grab a few goodies from this location. I was greeted immediately. Headed to the croghnuts looking for the different flavors. I went with stores, this other one with chips and a cinnamon one. I only like the cinnamon one. I did grab the fillings that you can insert in. Mine was perfect but the other ones were a liitle on the too sweet side for me. Another one I tried was cherry . Not my fave either because it was too sweet. I see the prices did go up . This location is right off of 50 so if your in Folsom , stop by and grab some to take with you.

Bad Bakers is not your ordinary bakery. No siree. It's a bakery with a modern cultural diverse twist. They have donuts... amped up versions of the classic American donuts (cake, filled, French crueler) and mochi donuts and ube donuts and gluten free donuts. They also have pork empanadas, chicken lumpia, Staxx bread (aka señorita bread) , biscocho (regular, cinnamon, ube), soft bread (regular, apple filled, mango filled), and savory kolaches (hot dog, pepperoni pizza, ham n cheese). Luv the variety to appease the various tastebuds and food moods of my household. Plus it is the only bakery in Folsom that is this culturally diverse. I notice most people either luv this place or meh. My fave is the Staxx bread. Mmm. Sweet n salty little finger shaped bread rolls with buttery n sugary top coat. Yum. They serve them hot, out of the kitchen, to order. And a consistent go to for me is the empanada. The pork empanada is savory ground pork with peas, corn, and green onions. Noticeably salted. But not over salted. It is not the best ever I've eaten, but not bad either. It satisfies my empanada fix. Also the lumpia looked and tasted more like an egg roll,It was not quite what I was expecting. The fried wrapper was soft versus crispy. It is made prior and sets in the counter. The flavors are on the mild side with shredded chicken filling. The staff has always been fantastic.

Tuesday Morning around 7:00ish Me and my husband came to their store Ambiance and Vibe was very nice and clean. Display case was very appealing you feel you wanna buy and try them all. My husband bought Staxx, Ensymada, Guava Goddess, pork empanada and pandesal. I was excited to taste all of them due to the reviews we read and how they market their products at Instagram, unfortunately I was very disappointed with the taste. Staxx was so drench with glaze. Pork empanada's good thing was it's more filling but the texture of the dough was alright. Guava Goddess was too sweet for me. Ensymada was to buttery than the bread itself. Me and my husband was just to disappointed. It's not the worth the over price we paid the store should focus on the quality of their breads and sweets than their merchandise.

They might look pretty, but take one bite and you'll sink your teeth into a stale, chewy and greasy donut. Beef eggrolls: also saturated in grease. The ham and cheese kolache was the exception. Good ratio of ham:cheese:puff pastry.

About half the size of the spanish bread we get from them.

We are big fans of the Spanish bread they offer (staxxs) however our last visit it was almost laughable how small they were, I can't believe they thought these were ok to sell. Really disappointed in the lack of quality control for the price

The service was fantastic from start to finish. We had the chance to chat with Julian himself along with a couple other staff members, and everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. The stars of the meal were definitely the breakfast wrap and the bacon, egg & cheese croissant. The breakfast wrap had the perfect balance of scrambled eggs, bacon, seasoned potatoes, avocado, and cheddar cheese. Everything worked together without any one ingredient overpowering the others, and the salsa on the side was a great addition. Honestly, it's one of the best breakfast burritos/wraps I've had. And the croissant... wow. It was absolutely delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the croissant was light, flaky, and buttery, and every bite was packed with flavor. The Nutella crepe was also very good. The crepe itself was perfectly made, though there was a little more Nutella than I personally prefer. Next time I'll probably ask for less, but that's purely a matter of taste. The avocado toast was the only item that didn't quite hit the mark for me. It was good, but the honey flavor dominated the dish and drowned out some of the other ingredients. I'd love to taste a little more balance there. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and genuine hospitality made for a great breakfast. We'll definitely be back, and I'll be dreaming about that croissant until then.

If you're bold enough to ask staff about the status of your order, they are rude and basically tell you to deal with the delay. On one of our last visits, they messed up my drink and when I told them, they didn't trust that I was telling the truth. They insisted I find the order number so they could confirm I was telling the truth and that "they didn't undercharge me for the drink". Real nice. If you're in this part of town, I'd skip this place and go a couple doors down to the Coffee Republic instead.
