Chicken Gorgonzola salad is delish- the dressing is cravable! Save some to dip your crust in! Seasoned crust with sauce is so good- better than garlic bread IMO. I've enjoyed every pizza we've had here but my favs are: -the classic European (you don't miss the area sauce because the sweet tomatoes and creamy ricotta are enough! - the Sajone is so enjoyable- slight bitterness from the radicchio, sweetness from the balsamic, and spice from the pepperoni -the deluxe is a classic Their specials are always good too! We've tried Nello's as a takeout pizza place before but tried it for the first time as a dine-in restaurant. We went on a Saturday around 5pm and were pleasantly surprised they have happy hour on weekends! We ordered the Fritto Misto, Wings and Arugula salmon salad at the restaurant amd got a few pizzas to go. I really liked the Fritto Misto. Fried calamari and shrimp came with a red pepper sauce. We tried the wings with the "golden sauce" which was honey mustard and buffalo. I've never had that flavor sauce on wings and we enjoyed it. Will probably try the other flavors next time but will definitely come back to this one. The arugula salmon salad was good and pretty filling with the couscous. I loved how it paired with white wine. Pizzas were took out were pretty good. I personally like Neapolitan pizza so prefer other places for the pizza but they were all tasty, fresh and great for the price. Our server, Gabby, was superb. It was pretty busy for early evening on a Saturday (probably because they have Happy Hour until 6pm even on weekends) but we never had to wait around for anything. She was very professional and amazing at her job. She came around at the perfect time to get our orders whether it was drinks, appetizers or main food, and also put in our to-go pizzas at the perfect timing and continuously checked on us. read more

My friend had a personal pizza with potato and egg and really liked it. I had the Italian beef sandwich and it was delicious. The fries were also very tasty. We shared their pizza crust bread with cheese, which is basically a pizza with garlic butter and cheesy goodness. We also both had some cocktails that were quite nice. Walked in over half restaurant empty but could not seat a party of 2 anywhere except outside next to a baby and family where the seats were literally on top of their table. The hostess said they were all reservations but they plenty of areas to seat us elsewhere. We don't go out that often but when we go as a couple I would like to sit somewhere not on top of another family. I usually give a great review for Nello's. I am just unsure what has happened, if it's new owners or new managers / staff but we went Saturday and I am 99 percent sure it will be my last time. The pizza had changed, the menu is limited now and the staff / Manager is RUDE ! We ordered all 3 thin crust pizzas. One came out wrong and our waitress was mad at us for the error. No apology. Basically two words I'll fix it and walks away. Tip ( if you use a pen and paper to write it down that will help ) ! The whole experience she was not pleasant. The manager then 20 minutes later brings out the pizza that has been cooked correctly and also has no apology. Sets it down and says do you need anything else and walks away. We get the bill and I notice they didn't even take it off ! So I ask about it am told that she was told not to take it off, but will go ask the manager again. I also notice for fresh mozzarella we were charged TWICE at this point I am saying nothing as I just want to leave. Yesterday I went to Nellos because I was craving their golden wings( I love them for the great quality and the sauce is just perfect) and I ordered them well done .... Just gotta say they were again great, and not sure who was cooking because they were literally excellent, a notch up from their already great taste. The sauce was dry enough to stick to wing, but not dry tasting, the grill marks made them look spectacular and they were crispy without being burnt! You have to try these! So then a pizza crust with cheese goes by and it kinda looked a step up too, so I ordered it! Amazing a simple crust w cheese could be soooo good! Wish I had a picture! I couldn't eat it all of course so I took it home and my family agreed that the food was excellent as usual. It's been many years, since I ate at a Nello's. I guess I should have ordered a pizza, because the Salmon Cous Cous salad was a big disappointment. It would be my guess there were no more than 2oz. of salmon in the bowl, I literally searched for it. It lacked seasoning and acidity, and it just tasted "dry". It reminded me of tiny pieces of pulled pork hiding in the dish. That's not how you serve salmon. On a positive note, we shared the garlic bread with cheese, tomatoes and basil, and it was fresh and tasty, yet ridiculously overpriced. The servers were friendly, hence I give the place 3 stars. We live practically around the corner from Nellos so we go there quite often. Their hand tossed pizza cooked in a Woodfire oven is delicious and it comes really quickly. We also always get a really large Caesar salad that has melt in your mouth croutons. The ambience is really inviting and comfortable and they have a great covered outdoor area when the weather is appropriate. Our server was super nice and very helpful, especially when selecting wine. The server mentioned the owner is very proud of the wines they carry and teaches the servers what he knows about wine, to train them so they can explain the wines to the patrons. I think that was an interesting tidbit to learn. I enjoyed our pizzas and our experience. I would come back and I would recommend it for a low key pizza place. I was in town and went to meet a friend for drink and a quick bite at Nello's. I'd actually never heard of this place, but it's obviously very popular, it was packed! There was a steady flow of people coming in and out the whole time that I was there, and a big long line at the to go orders. Fortunately we were able to get a couple seats at the bar before it filled up. Marisa was our bartender and she was quite a bright and smiling face to welcome us. She immediately got our drinks, and made me one of the best Aperol spritz I've had. She took her food order and I ordered the house salad with house dressing along with the meatball sandwich. I'm not sure what they put in their house dressing but it sure was good. The sandwich was huge with just the right amount of sauce and cheese, the meatballs were big and I could tell they were freshly made. I had to take half of it home for later. The food at Nello's was good. I had an eggplant with noodles and one slice of bread . They should have it be garlic bread but it was vey tasty. The seating was comfortable and the service was excellent. The delivery of the food was pretty quick. The only downside was when more people arrived it was noisy. I would recommend the place for its pizza. My three friends had their pizza and they liked it. They did have an outdoor patio with spray mist. So I say give it a try. read more

However, when I questioned why he didn't use gloves, he initially claimed that he had, which was untrue. After I pointed out where I saw him touch my pizza, he apologized. I requested to speak with the manager, Jess. Instead of addressing my concerns directly, she mentioned that the staff member had a different version of the story, implying that I was not being truthful. Service was attentive, friendly, and helpful. Place was kinda slow at 3 pm(ish) on a Sunday but filled up towards the end of our meal. Nice, clean overall restaurant. The HH deals were good, but the pizzas were amazing! For both pies we tried the hand-tossed crust. The Sajone had delicious sausage, pepperoni, and basil on it. Quality crust. Thin but not too thin. The Yukon Gold pizza is life-changing. Top 5 white pizzas I've ever had. The combo of potatoes, pancetta, and gorgonzola was insane. Wings were solid, and the Old World Classic salad was also tasty. Prices are great here. We'll be back. Next time we'll probably try the Fritto Misto and their classic charcuterie board ($20 is a great price point for quality meat and cheese). read more

I love pizza with ricotta and it gave the classic European great flavor with the sausage. The deluxe pizza was great as well. You can't go wrong with the thin or thick crust. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the service was not amazing. We were only checked on when we ordered and when we got our food even though we needed refills before our food came. It was rather slow, but the waitress was very kind. We sat outside where is was shaded and had fans for hot days. This is a great place to take families as well! read more

I ordered the pappardelle bolognese for my main. The noodles were wide and soft which I liked. I wish there had been more sauce on the noodles. Love me some Nellos!! My colleague and I go here almost once a week for their lunch special. You can't go wrong with a personal pizza, salad, and drink for under $15/each. They've got a great menu selection and service has always been consistent. Food is excellent. I love the house dressing on their garden salad.
