We absolutely love their bread, salad, and pasta dishes. My mom's favorite is the chicken piccata, and I really appreciate that they let you customize your meal by choosing different pasta options. The zucchini spirals are a great lighter option, but you can never go wrong with a classic fettuccine. My brother's fiancée had the eggplant parmesan and said it was the best she's ever had! Rigatony's is a pretty good option especially if you're in a hurry as the food comes out very quickly. They also have an amazing lunch menu available every day until 4PM with most entrees costing only $11.50! My favorite part is the unlimited antipasto salad and ciabatta bread that comes with your meal. I love dipping the bread in olive oil and Italian seasoning. Yumm! I always skip the pepperoncini peppers and get extra salami and cheese. I've tried their chicken Parmesan, spaghetti in meat sauce, chicken cutlet piccata with fettuccine alfredo and lasagna. I wasn't wowed by any of the entrees and the marinara sauce is a bit too sweet for my liking. The unlimited salad and bread is always the highlight of my meal and a treat especially as I don't eat bread at home. For $11.50, it's an excellent value. We had reservations for 11 because of a recommended from our niece who lives in the area. We were able to sit as soon as we got there. Service was great! Our server was at the table at the right times. Order was correct. Drinks were great. Food was wonderful! I got the Capellini Checca, but with Parmesan cheese on the side instead of the goat cheese. It was wonderful! My son got the spaghetti and meatballs. He said it was ok...he prefers a thicker spaghetti sauce. My husband got the Tour of RigaTony. He liked everything except chicken piccata. I was searching for an old school Italian restaurant that have options for kids and variety and I came across to this amazing place. The restaurant has been ope about 50 years, and YES! That's can tell you how good they are and how delicious the food is. I order the rigatoni as per the recommendations which also comes with the house salad , also the kids pizza and asked for half cheese and half spicy. Everything was sooooooo delicious! They served with homemade bread and it's so tasty. The house salad just perfectly mixed with the dressing, the rigatoni with meat sauce -- absolutely MUST try and you won't be disappointed. The service is top-notch and they know what are good dishes and if you don't know what to order just ask the service staff, they know their menus very well. The ambience is welcoming and with a friendly service from the front door until the farewell. It's great place for a family and friends gathering. They do have both indoor and outdoor offer for you. I had a chance to visit this place for the first time with an Aunt. Right as you step into the door, everyone was very friendly! I liked the overall vibe, very welcoming. I tried a seafood dish special and it was not good at all, very fishy and there was no fish . The waitress asked if I wanted something different and brought it out quickly and it was amazing. Brought the family to RigaTony's today for a holiday-week lunch. We arrived just after noon and had a 25 min wait. Our server then greeted us after five mins but we noticed several empty tables, so I figured they were short handed that day. We received good service anyway. We each ordered our favorite-type lunches: spaghetti and meatball for our granddaughter, shrimp and scallops for my wife, etc. A big draw for us at RigaTony's has always been the gluten free options. Plus their house salad is so much better than that national chain. I ordered the baked rigatoni and I was not disappointed. When it arrived, I thought I was still going to be hungry afterwards but I was stuffed when I did a fork-drop. It had a rich, cheesy white sauce coating every piece of pasta, along with fat, spicy slices of Italian sausage and then baked to a creamy, gooey triumph. Pro-tip: You can share an entrée with someone and just pay a few bucks more so you both can have unlimited salad and bread. You can ask them to remove certain items from the salad. Highlights: I love places that offer a sampler so you can try a bunch of different items so the tour of rigatony was a no-brainer for us. The unlimited salad and bread is a nice touch. Overall, I thought the food was pretty good. Lowlights: The price is a tad high, but I think it's because they bake in the unlimited salad and bread. When we arrived, there was a bunch of empty seats, but they told us it would be a 40 minute wait or we could sit at the bar seating which was first come first serve. I love this place x3!!!! (Important things must be said 3 times) The overall experience was great for the evening with me and my family (7 people total). Everything was delicious and all of the plates came out at a decent time (I guess because it was a Monday?) I also had a special request for the server - Linguini with Clam Sauce, but I wanted red and white sauce mix. The server had to ask, but yay they were able to do it and the flavor and the texture of the sauce was EXACTLY what I was looking for! They have daily lunch specials for $11.50 that include unlimited antipasto salad and bread. Chicken Piccata with fettuccine Alfredo was the lunch special and my selection. Staff appeared to be bothered to have to serve us and honestly, I can be made to feel like a bother at home without paying someone to treat us like that. We always try and come back when we are feeling italian food and it NEVER disappoints. The staff is warm and welcoming and it feels like an authentic restaurant. WOW! We don't live near Tempe but had to go over that way and thought I'll try someplace new. I am a sucker for throwback joints. When I looked at their YELP pix and reviews and their website menu I knew I wanted to give this place a try. When I got there at 11 am when they opened there was a line to get in....on a Thursday.! I was by myself today and they sat me at a nice booth. It reminds me of so many great Italian restaurants I've been to around the country through the years. I got straight to business and ordered the Chicken Parm. They start you with a nice size bowl of Antipasto salad and soft Italian bread with olive oil. Delicious. I have had great and not so great Chicken Parm. LOVE THIS ONE! Nice lunch portion with a side of spaghetti on the plate. The red sauce was great! You can taste the garlic. The sauce is on the sweet side which is delicious to me...my wife does not like sweet sauces though so heads up on this one. THe lunch was 11.95 which to me was a huge value. Service was great ...nice personality, helpful, kept my drink full, lunch came out quickly. I felt bad though...at 12 bucks a 20% tip is not great. Was looking for an old school Italian restaurant and boy did we find it. RigaTony's delivers on all aspects atmosphere, food & excellent service. We went on a Friday and highly recommend making a reservation as wait times were an hour. We ended up grabbing a table in the bar area which is open seating with full service. Ordered a variety of old school dishes and none of them disappointed. A plus we did not know about is that each order comes with bread and salad as much as you like. RigaTony's: Your Italian sweetheart since 1994. That's thirty years! Wow! With that said, this is still one of my favorite Italian spots. Their clams in white wine garlic sauce still has a power over me and it's a menu item I always order. Soak it up with the house ciabatta and it can be a meal on it's own. Recently, I've been checking their website to find their weekly special. I had an amazing surf 'n' turf risotto here once that I still think about. How can you go wrong with rice, broth, butter, cheese, and wine? I'm not a fan of making risotto so if it's on the menu, there's a high possibility that I'm ordering it. As for the shrimp and steak medallions on the dish, they were both cooked well. Both proteins might have been cooked a minute too long but the butter and wine sauce helped keep things moist. There's some long wait times, especially on weekends but to me that just shows how good the food is. Food is always consistent in quality, and out of the dozens of times we've been there we have only had one waitress who under delivered during lunch. She took her time in getting our drink and food orders and ended up leaving before bringing our dessert and apparently never communicated to who was relieving her that we had ordered it. Seemed overall annoyed that we had been sat in her area towards the end of her shift. Otherwise, all the other staff has always been phenomenal. If it's busy, they seem to work as a team to make sure we are never without refills of drinks or bread or whatever we ask for. Food comes out very quickly, the bread and salad are always delicious. Stopped in for lunch with some co-workers. Haven't been in years but glad I came. The host sat us promptly and the inside was well kept. 3.5 Stars I was pleasantly surprised on my first two visits to RigaTony's! Mom and I are on a mission to try new spot in her new living area. I was expecting a mediocre meal as you would get at the big chain restaurant(OG). One our first visit we didn't take any photos of our food. Mom and I jumped into our dishes with no regards to my fellow Yelpers to provide photos for their use. The chatting was at a minimum while we ate, :-)! Mom had a bowl of Minestrone soup, salad , bread and I had the cheese ravioli with meat sauce. The meat sauce brought me back to my early teen years. As a latchkey kid, I started cooking early and a simple ground beef meat sauce was something in my early bag of tools. So having this meat sauce at RigaTony's was a time travel back to those days. On trip two Mom and I both have the Pasta-Bilities bowls. Just snapped one photo since we both had the same bowl. You will also see the delicious ciabatta bread they bring to the table. Sorry, we jump right into the salad before any ideas of photos hit my mind. This is a must try if you're on the fence!
