Our toilet has had a slow leak. We were told by a different company that it was the shower water leaking onto the floor. We brought a different company out, Nelson Plumbing, out a couple months later. This guy removed the toilet and replaced the seal as he said it wasn't sealed properly. It was $175. That seems a little pricey. The employee was professional and courteous. We did have to call them back out about a week later as we noticed the toilet leaking again. They came out the day after we called and, of course, no leaking was observed by him or us. We have to decide if we want to try a new toilet or see if there is a clog. We asked him to fix a clogged tub while he was there. He did this as well, but needed to come back because it is deeper than what he thought. I appreciated that he looked into this even though it was not part of the appointment. Overall, I have been happy with them. read more

Our kitchen faucet was leaking and we called Nelson Plumbing. They got back to me very quickly and set up an appointment to come out the next day. They were punctual and even tried coming early. He fixed the multiple issues (leak, clogged pipe that was backing up the dishwasher). He replaced the hose in the pull out faucet too. It was done at a reasonable price too. Our tankless water heater went dead right before Christmas. I know right? I called around to some of the bigger advertised companies in the area to get them to come out and take a look. I was able to get one to come out and they confirmed the unit was dead. They gave me a quote to replace it that seemed very, very high. I called around to local vendors to see if anyone could come out and get me a better deal. When I got to Nelson Plumbing I had called a few already and was ready to get the standard answer of "Sure we can do that, we have an opening in three months would that work?" The people at Nelson Plumbing were very nice and got me onto the schedule for the next day! Joe came out and confirmed it was dead. He gave me a quote that was half the price of the competition. That was amazing. Reading the reviews on Yelp gave me the confidence to know they did good work and cared about making sure everything was right. They came out and completed the replacement of the tankless water heater. They made sure everything was working to my satisfaction and left the area cleaner then when they got there. It was amazing service and I would put them on your speed dial for plumbing issues! On a side note please make sure you descale your tankless water heaters! If you don't you can end up with an inefficient water heater that costs you more money to use and water that's just not as hot. Eventually even leading to leaks and failed units. I looked up water heater installation businesses near me. Nelson Plumbing seemed to have the best reviews. I asked for a price quote through Yelp. He provided one. When he came out to look at my water heater, I asked him if it would be worthwhile to buy a more expensive water heater. He said that Bradford White produces great water heaters, so there was no need to pay more. He quickly installed the water heater. I'm happy. It costs $800 less than what Home Depot quoted me. Thanks. When I originally wrote the review, for unknown reasons it only showed 4 stars. I must have made a mistake. I didn't catch that until afterwards when I saw the review. I had the unfortunate experience of a water leak in the main supply line feeding the house from the meter so I frantically reached out to a couple plumbers and luckily Nelson Plumbing was one of the handful that Yelp automatically sent me request to. After getting quotes from multiple plumbers for the job (which were all over the place) I landed on Nelson because the quote was very competitive, his reviews were all 5 stars, and he could get someone on it that afternoon. This was a rental that was in between tenants so luckily I could keep the water off without issues but having it done so quickly was awesome. The work was completed timely and without issue until last week when we went to turn the irrigation back on and realized it must not have been spliced back into the supply line once it was swapped out. No big deal...called Nelson and they came back out without question to make it right and I got a call from the owner today to apologize for the oversight and to let me know he went personally to check and made sure everything was back up and running. Even with the slight hiccup, my experience with Nelson Plumbing couldn't have been better and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend/use their services in the future. read more

He could have easily said "look man,this thing just doesn't work you'll need to get another one", but instead he ended up calling Delta customer service and waiting on hold on 2 different days! We noticed dripping water in the crawl space while repairing a section of subfloor in our 1960's house. We went to Yelp and got 3 estimates from different plumbers and were shocked at what the others were charging for the same repair! Up to 3x more for one of them!! Not only did we choose Nelson Plumbing for the price quote but they immediately knew what was wrong when they looked at it. The other guys took quite a while under the house and also kept going in and out to their truck before they could tell us what was needed. With Nelson, we chose a date and time from their available schedule. They came out the very next day for a quote and then completed the job two days later on a Saturday!
