My tankless water heater recently stopped working. Even though I replaced the ignition rod and pulled out the burner to clean it, still would not work. I called a technician from one of the 5 star reviews on some plumbing company that I searched on google. Technician came and said I need to replaced the whole system and quoted me for $6800. So I tried homedepot they send their representative and told me that they would send me the quote, after looking at my unit, but they never did. So I searched again this time on the yelp app. And I found a 5 star review of Nelson Plumbing, sent a message and right away I got a response and an appointment. When the technician came, his name is Nate he advise me also to just replace the whole thing instead of trying to repair it because it would cost more. Since the water heater might already have pinholes which clearly shows some water leaking and signs of corrosion. The cost of labor to repair it would be high. So I asked him if he can just install and I would be the one to buy the model and brand that I like. I asked him about the installation cost. And I was suprise that it's no where as close to the first quote that I got. Even including the unit that I am planning to buy. After I bought the unit from Lowes, On the day of the installation he came on time, together with two other friendly guys. And they started working on it . Nate explained and answer all my question. All of them were kind and respectful. They did a wonderful job, left no mess and make sure the product is working perfectly before they left. I save a lot of money by going with this honest guys. I would gladly hire them again in the future for maintenance of the unit. Very highly recommended. Not all 5 star reviews deserve to be 5 star. But Nelson Plumbing deserved it. read more

Nelson replaced my old water heater. They provided a one hour service window and showed up on time. They replaced parts when they could have just used the old, existing parts. Then they made sure that the pilot light in our other water heater was back on before they left. They were friendly and took the time to explain things. If I wanted one point the reader to take away from this review, it would be that Nelson Plumbing did not have any interest in overcharging or making profit off of our ignorance in plumbing. We shopped around, got prices from other providers for the same project, and I'm happy to say that these guys had a much more accurate diagnosis of the situation with a more rigorous assessment, and recommended solutions that saved us thousands of dollars. We had an issue with the water in one bathroom, the others came and didn't really even turn the water on to see what we're talking about. And to be able to understand the problem, Nelson Plumbing stopped by the second time later with a team to go in the crawl space to see our current plumbing, which wasn't the case for other companies we spoke with. Had a clogged kitchen drain that tried to unclog but was still getting backed up after a few attempts at using the snake and some chemicals. Called a few places and some were charging 2-3x more than Nelson plumbing. Instead of going to the most expensive option they suggested they try snaking it first using their large snake which was $100 and if that didn't work they could go to the next option which was using the hydro. I appreciated they wanted to save me money first before doing something more costly and unnecessary. Needless to say they got the clog out using the snake which was reasonable.
