I absolutely love Neo Bella Salon. It is a very clean environment. They are always on time and extremely friendly. Laura the owner is very kind and always greats you so warmly! I have been going to Monica for my color and she has been amazing. I like to do a lighter color in the spring/ summer and she is spot on! I also appreciate the products they use I have a sensitive scalp and have gone elsewhere and had a bad reaction. Never had this happen to me here. They have a very kind & amazing staff! You really can't get better service than at Neo Bella Salon! I had to write an updated review during this new normal. My best friend made reservations for us on my birthday to get some pedis. She mentioned it was my birthday to the staff ahead of time (sneaky sneaky!) and everyone I came in contact with that day wished me a happy birthday, how sweet is that!? I feel like I've known these ladies for years. Their COVID-19 safety precautions are fantastic here. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted with a big smile from Heather and she welcomed me in. She took my temperature (with the device from a distance) and had me fill out a form confirming I don't have any symptoms. Additionally, I was directed to wash my hands before I sat down at my station. Masks were also worn by every single person the entire time we where there. Two thumbs all the way up! I really appreciate the precautions and it is so good to see especially at a more intimate experience like a salon. Heather is a sweet pea and so easy to talk to. She also gives the BEST foot massages. I wanted to close my eyes and take a little nap it was so relaxing! I picked out a different color than I usually do in the summer and I loved how it turned out. They have a great selection of colors here which I think is a great bonus. Overall, we love our experiences when we come here. The owner also is so kind and welcoming. My hair was very dry and damaged and I had over 12 inches cut off!!! I love it so much and it was very fun. I think she had fun too as I don't have much limits on my hair, lol. Oh my goodness! I literally just left Neo Bella and I couldn't be more thrilled. What a WONDERFUL salon filled with amazing people. When I entered Laura (the owner) greeted me with a warm welcome and offered me something to drink (wine, water or coffee). Then Robert came out to meet me. We discussed what I wanted done with my hair (a partial highlight slightly more blonde than my current highlight) and looked at a few pictures of my hair from the past in my phone (I was quite blonde several years ago and am working back to it). Then he was off to mix. He came back and for about an hour he meticulously placed my foils while holding a nice, light conversation. When Robert was finished with foiling he allowed my hair to process for 30 minutes. Now, I was nervous about the "reveal" because this is THE FIRST time I have had a highlight away from home (Massachusetts). Well, IT WAS PERFECT! Oh my goodness, Robert is a master at what he does! I have included pictures but they honestly don't do Robert's work justice. Again, I have very fine, dark brown hair. My current hair color has one full highlight (done by a salon in Massachusetts) and the lighter blonde was a partial highlight done by Robert. After going to the same stylist at another salon for 10+ years, I decided I needed a change. My old stylist is about an hour from home, and her schedule became extremely limited. I didn't trust anyone but her until now. Enter Katlyn. She's young and she knows her stuff. She really listens to you, and I got a great haircut from her on two occasions. It wasn't anything complicated, but I figure that's a good way to assess if I want to go back to someone. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my hair in regard to color, and she didn't push me in any direction. Laura, the owner, is the sweetest lady and I feel like she really values people's business. I received 10% off my visit today, although I don't know why. Why would I ask? Katlyn also told me that Jan 2-Feb 14 is 20% off foils. I believe a partial foil starts at $85, so that is an incredible deal. Now I know I will be going back for my color! There's something different about NeoBella. I've been to Ulta salons, Great Clips, Mario Tricoci, and there are always stylists without their hair done or maintained. Every staff member here had a very nice hairdo, even if it was only a ponytail it was a modern style, and they keep up with their color. For me, it's a warning sign if the stylist is a sort of schlub with a greasy ponytail and outgrown roots. You don't see that at NeoBella. Katlyn and two of the other girls has gorgeous blonde hair, and Laura had a really sharp looking graduated bob. read more

The PERFECT salon. And Lisa is the PERFECT hair stylist!!! I am SO happy and excited and just so satisfied. I came in based on checking reviews on yelp for good hair coloring. I did all over color for the first time in my life and this was the BEST for a color virgin!! I also went for a new look with bangs- and I am so pleased with the results! Lisa was easy, flexible, super friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, professional, confident and so patient with me and my indecisive self!!!! I can't say enough great things about her! The salon is so cute and clean and just nice to be in. They were able to schedule me right when I called and just pleasant the entire visit through. Price was very reasonable and I was used to Zano before here so I was pleased. They also carry great brand products. I honestly can't wait to come back- I'm looking forward to it! I decided to give this salon a try after I read all the Yelp reviews. I'm so glad I did. Over the years of getting my hair colored and cut, it's so hard to find a decent stylist that can actually do what you're looking for. Monica did an amazing job on my hair. I showed her one picture and she knew exactly what to do. She had so much excitement to do my hair which made me feel super comfortable. I loved every part of my appointment! I was asked multiple times if I wanted anything to drink. The dye she used wasn't itchy like most dyes and it didn't take forever which I loved. I was in and out of there in less than 2 hours. The only reason I can't give Neo Bella 5 stars is because of the relatively unimpressive interior atmosphere and low-visability location within a dowdy strip mall. ASIDE from that small negative, I was SO impressed. A girlfriend of mine and I happened upon their amazing reviews online and decided to give them a shot. I am reeeeeally glad I did. You can tell the girls who work there really enjoy their jobs (probably some thanks to the owner I met who seemed like a pleasure to be around)...everyone was so nice and welcoming. I'll call my stylist "Bubbly Brittney" was sweet and really great about talking to me about exactly what she was doing and how to recreate the volume, etc. I don't usually chat it up at the salon, but she seemed like a long lost friend. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Renee! I have been going to her for years.... She is extremely easy going and fun to talk to, she's like a great friend that even though I don't see her very often it's never awkward and we just pick up conversation where we left off! She is amazing at what she does too! She recently came over to my house with a few other Neo Bella Girls to do hair and makeup(Brittany did makeup - awesome!) for my wedding. Now Neo Bella Salon - can't get into the 80s eggplant walls, but if you want a funky cut and color - and I mean the kind of color Mario's won't do and you though you could only get in the city - ask for Renee. I get purple, blue, fuschia and some made up colors if I want. The only thing I ever got at the big names were blonde chunks. If you want to look like everyone else, fine - not me though. I am a huge fan of Neo Bella. I started going to Katie 4 or 5 years ago now (can't believe it's been that long) My cut / style is about is simple as it gets, but I'm kind of like Goldilocks with my color preferences -- I'm VERY particular and notice extremely subtle differences versus what I want. And I have a LOT of hair, so my highlights take a lot of patience. I tried a couple of places when I first moved up to Chicago, and wasn't happy with any of them. I was drawn to Neo Bella from the positive reviews, and couldn't be happier with my decision to try them out. The reception staff is always friendly, and Katie does a great job with my hair. I don't think I've been this happy with my hair in years. I recently left Chicago to move home to St Louis, and my biggest logistical concern was "crap, how am I going to find someone I trust to do my hair?" I still visit often, and time my trips so I can always get my color touched up by Katie and not let anyone else touch my roots :) . Laura has been awesome at accommodating me when I'm only in town for a couple days and need to squeeze in an appointment. Someday I'm going to have to let someone else do my hair but I'm not looking forward to it! read more

Yes, the prices might be a little more than others but you get what you pay for. I've been getting my haircut by Brittany for almost a year at this salon and couldn't be happier. As to Susanne D.'s post about it being in a dowdy strip mall I think that makes no sense. Just because they aren't in a packed shopping center has nothing to do with the cuts. This salon has been one of the most down to earth places I've ever been to. First I called to make an appointment, and the receptionist was so bubbly and pleasant even helped me what I wanted to get and prices. I came in today and got a deep conditioning treatment (which I have never gone to a salon before to get one). Gia helped me right away very efficiently and made sure I was comfortable. The process was wash hair, put conditioner, heat under the hood dryer, rinse, and style. Very quick but was made relaxing with a bit of coffee and tons of magazines. She was very honest, and advise me on what was right for me and my hair. I ended up buying this great serum she used which came out to be $35 (little pricey but she said it would last about 6 months till I need another). Pros: everyone was very honest and didn't try to up-sell you what you didn't need. Friendly staff Clean Coupons for the next time! Cons: only con was it was a tad bit noisy and they were expanding their venue Other than that great place will definitely go back! read more

I would give 10 stars to Neo Bella if I could! I have a million reasons I love them, but I'll keep it to the top three: 1. Katie does an awesome job with my hair every time I go! I've been going for a few years and she always remembers what I like and is so friendly. When I've been indecisive, she's made great suggestions. I trust her completely! 2. Their nail services are great. I have gotten manicures and pedicures and have loved the experience. It's several steps up from the nail salons where you are in & out in no time. Neo Bella takes time to pamper you a bit, and then on top of that they do a fantastic job with your nails! One time recently, a technician even came in a bit early so my mom and I could get our nails done at the same time. 3. This is the big one! Last year, my sister was getting married. The night before her wedding, the person who was supposed to do her hair and makeup was not responding and we figured out that my sister was going to be left with no one on her wedding day. I called Neo Bella and left a message asking if there was any chance they had an opening for an updo and to call me and let me know. Not only did Laura call me as soon as they opened AND they were able to squeeze in my sister, the person who did her hair spent her lunch break watching videos of how to do a victory roll, which is what my sister wanted. Their makeup artist also offered very kindly to help put on Heather's false eyelashes and eyeliner for her so that they weren't messy. Neo Bella was kind and welcoming and made Heather feel so pampered on her wedding day. They came together for us and everyone there helped save the day! Any one of these things would be enough for me to be a customer for life at Neo Bella, but all of them together in one business means that I recommend them to anyone who will listen! :) read more

This place was ok. Just ok. I called them first to see if they used a certain product that I really like for my hair and they told me they did. But when I got to the shampoo bowl they told me they only use Morrocanoil sprays and cremes not shampoos or conditioners because they were going through it too fast. The lady who did my hair, Katie seemed nice and gentle with my hair. (I am tender headed so that's important to me) my hair came out soft and not so straight in the roots. Holy cow. NEVER in my life have I gotten a better haircut. And my hair is no picnic. It is large and in charge and takes incredibly long to cut and blow out... but Gia is a total pro and tamed my hair with no problem. She knows all the tricks to help it de-poof, from thinning to the angle of the layers to the right products to keep it smooth. She also knows all about the right products for every hair type and shared the info without pressuring me to buy anything. The cut was so good that I'm even able to style it myself. I got my hair cut and colored by Dana last night and I just had to do a review because I am so happy with the turn out.. she is so talented!!! I have gotten my hair done by many people and I always tell them I trust them and just do what they want.. But I leave feeling like they just have just gave me a trim and it doesn't look much different. Last night I told Dana to keep it long but give me style and she did an amazing job! I had a wonderful first experience at Neo Bella Salon. I made a same day appointment, and was scheduled for foils and cut within two hours, no problem! Many salons give you attitude immediately for asking to make a same day appointment, and will most likely tell you to just walk in, (and wait your turn to be hurried along) but not Laura, she was happy to have me, and was darling from the get-go. My cut and highlights were scheduled with Monica, and I can't even tell you how great she is. She made me feel like we have known each other for years, and I hope we do! She was receptive and responsive to all my wants and needs, and gave great feedback...and compliments! Nothing makes your day like a few nice compliments, and she is well aware of that. I bet she makes every client feel this great because she purely good vibes. You don't get customer service like that everywhere or even most places. Speaking of customer service, LAURA! While Monica was giving me one of the best hair cuts of my life, Laura came up to me and expressed how excited she was to set my appointment and meet a new client. Are you kidding me?! HOW SWEET! HOW CUTE! I can't even tell you how much fun I had in the hour and a half I was there. When I went to check out, I was given a ton of referral cards, (which I'm handing out like a mad woman) future client discount cards, and samples, while Laura talked to a client on the phone. I had to wait a few minutes to pay because she was trying to help a client FROM 10 YEARS AGO figure out what color they had used to dye her hair 10 YEARS AGO... she was so helpful to the lady on the phone, I couldn't be mad because it was obvious they would go out of their way for any client, and that is admirable. There was no need to apologize for my wait, I enjoyed hanging out the extra few minutes. ;) Two small things to keep in mind when making an appointment here: They don't take AMEX, but that is generally the norm for smaller businesses, and the prices are a bit higher than some other salons in the area, but they do offer some great new and returning client promos, which in not something you often find. Beware.... Bad hair cut at a premium price from a supposed experienced stylist - This salon runs specials on stylists giving discounts...there's a reason for that. Bad color - owner defends employees to the bitter end. Had to have my cut repaired by another hair salon who said it was layered on one side, barely any on the other. The owner Laur was the one who answered the phone and before we got too far into the conversation she asked me what my hair type was; long, short, thin, thick. Once I told her my hair type then she paired me up with a hairstylist that would do great with my kind of hair. That alone is the best thing ever. Then she made the appointment with Lisa. When I got there Lisa was amazing she asked a lot of questions make sure she understood what I wanted and then even throughout the haircut kept asking what I liked, what I didn't like. What a great experience! Robert has magic hair washing and coloring talent and then I had my hair cut by Dana and it is a great cut. My salon went out of business so I was worried I would not find a new salon I liked but Neo Bella has what is was looking for. The owner Laura treated me and everyone that came in like a VIP. I went back a second time to get my nails done by Heather and again was treated like I was an old friend and my nails look great even a week later.
