I have selfishly put it off in order to keep him to myself as much as possible, but the time has come to recognize Josh at Reflektion Salon in Naperville. Josh is a truly talented individual. I discovered him in the early fall of 2016, and I honestly don't know what I did without him! After first seeing Josh for color, I completely trusted him to perform a keratin treatment on my unruly hair, something I had considered for years but was afraid to do. It has been life changing. In the time that Josh has worked his magic, my hair is healthier than it has ever been. He is a master of color, able to achieve nuances in tone that I've never experienced with previous hairdressers. He is very attuned to what the hair needs, and adjusts his methods so that the health of your hair is not compromised. He is an excellent listener, and communicates well. At the beginning of each session, he asks questions, discusses options, and makes sure you are comfortable with his suggestions. I always know exactly what he is going to do. Josh also happens to be one of the kindest, dearest people I know. I felt comfortable with him from day one. He is also funny and a great conversationalist. Coming to appointments is like visiting a good friend...and I feel transformed when I leave! I must also mention that all of the staff at this location are friendly, welcoming, and just wonderful. I have been going to KTP for the past 6 years and if I ever moved away I would have to take her with me! :-) My hair has never been more beautiful or healthy. Simply put, Katie just gets my hair...I have a tough texture and my blonde is tricky to highlight. Katie has taken the time to really understand the right formulas for me...not just the average highlight/lowlight. This is also a clean beauty salon so the products are much safer for your hair, which I need and love! I am constantly getting compliments on my color. Aside from her amazing work, she has become a friend and her staff is extremely knowledgeable, talented, friendly and cool. You just feel at home in this salon. I also see Sara Golden for my custom facials. She offers services in the salon and is amazing!! Again, not your average facial. I go monthly and every facial is different based on the needs of my skin at that time. I have found a lot of other salons do the same facials on everyone regardless of the skins needs. Her facials are relaxing (includes an neck & shoulder massage) and I am SO pleased with the health of my skin since getting regular monthly facials. I had my first haircut and color by Katie one week ago. I was referred by my acupuncturist whose Chicago Healing Center's byline is that "healing starts with being heard" so it was no surprise that Katie began her session with my by asking good questions about what I wanted (I wasn't sure) and really listening to my answers. I did tell her what I didn't like, including haircuts that only look good with massive amounts of product applied. At one point I apologized for not being able to tell her exactly what I wanted and she said no need--it was her job to ask the right questions to find out. She gave me a great cut and color, at the end adjusting the volume in the back to what felt right to me. I have rarely felt so comfortable about speaking up during the styling process. I have pretty much never liked a haircut on the second day after all the salon effects have worn off, but this one has continued to look great from Day 1 on. I did purchase the styling cream Katie used (a very small quantity) and I am happy with how well it works and how soft my hair feels with this product. I've seen Josh at the salon for over the past 3 years or so. Not only is he detailed at his work, but he really takes the time to make sure I am happy with my outcome. Color is an art, and he really takes a lot of pride in his work and efforts. He learns what I need, looks at pictures and goes ABOVE and BEYOND in his work. He used to make me pretty blond (I am a very dark brunette color) and he chose products that were gentle to my hair. If he thought it needed a break, he wouldn't push for additional service or heat to it even if it would benefit him. I've had a keratin treatment as well which I think is the best thing I have ever done for my hair (highly recommend asking him about this... why didn't I do this sooner!!). He has started doing my daughter's hair as well and I couldn't be happier with the sweet, caring personality he has with her as well. Ive sent two friends to him that love this work too! I have been going to Reflektion Salon since it opened and to Katie P- for over 20 years. It is truly the best hair salon experience and worth every penny. Katie is incredibly talented, professional, and flexible, and she consistently does an amazing job with cut, color and more recently- extensions! Best salon ever! Every single stylist you meet there is so nice and knowledgeable. I go to Carli there and she is amazing. Every time I walk out of the salon--whether it's a cut, color, blowout, style--it looks so good. She is an expert with hair coloring and even when my hair starts to grow out it always looks so natural (no weird looking roots!!!)! They offer you coffee or tea when you're there and they all talk to you like you're a friend. I can't imagine going to any other salon after finding Reflektions. Their products are amazing and smell so good. And on top of it they're all natural and sustainable which is a huge bonus. This is a salon that cares about its clients and the environment. I got my hair done by hair stylist Megan Binder this past Saturday at RefleKTion Safe & Sustainable Salon and she did such an amazing job! I am very picky with who I let touch my hair, but she surpassed all my expectations. I will definitely be back. With Covid going on we unfortunately weren't allowed to blow dry or style. I go to Yvonne. She is so wonderful! I get my hair highlighted and cut by her, and her work is always perfection! She is so accommodating and will make sure she is able to squeeze you in with any time she has open no matter how last minute! The salon overall was a great experience. The minute I walked in there was a smiling face to welcome me in and ask if I needed anything, water, or coffee, and told me about all their services. I love that they are full service! I have only gone to Reflektion 2 times and have had the most amazing stylist ever! Josh is incredible for my hair type.
