For some context, my wife is from Peru and has a Peruvian passport and a United States Visa. The man at the door, who I am not terribly convinced finished high school, asked for our IDs like any other bar and we gave it. The man looked at the Passport of my wife and said that he only accepts state, federal, and government IDs. Great, showed him the Visa and he said the exact same thing. I believe that Agave could hire someone with enough intellect to understand that tourists and others from outside the country do not have access to Federal, State, or Government identifications and that an AMERICAN Visa is a valid form of identification. We told the man all of this and he just stupidly said "I can only accept American passports." I do not believe that this is intentional discrimination against those that are not from the United States, but I believe that the staff needs to maintain a higher level of education when it comes to US law. From US law: "a visa can be used to prove identity and the right to work in the United States."

It's right across from Torchy's Tacos and next to Starbucks. The only reasons I didn't give it 5 stars were that the pool was smaller than I expected and there wasn't a hot tub/jacuzzi. Also, because of the hardwood floors, I could hear the guests upstairs walking. Overall, it's a clean, comfortable hotel in a great location, and I'd recommend it and I would stay again.
