Obituary was full of mistakes. Friendly service. Had a question about the anticipated claim assignment of $1385.86 and what that had to do with the contract we signed. But no one got with me with a response either by text, phone or email. Sounded like an insurance policy in conjunction with our pre need contract. I guess I'll never know. read more

They do not return calls. They let my dad sit in a drawer for 19 days while we called continuously to make a payment. No death certificates were provided with the remains and, get ready for this kicker, Jeremy was continuously trying to hook up with my sister and nonstop texting her to meet up. He could work around his marriage-pretty sure we shouldn't even know his marital status. It's a classy place y'all. Stay AWAY! Not that they'll ever call you back anyway even when attorneys start calling, they don't call back. Horrifying experience. After more than 3 weeks we finally got my dad back but Jeremy would only agree if my sister picked him up. RUN from this place. read more

Mr. Jeremy Cameron has been incredibly helpful to me. I've been struggling to handle my mother's arrangements from a distance and he's been very informative and communicative. I appreciate that he's available via text and is patient when I request document revisions. I'm currently waiting for the cremation permit and hope the rest of the process is easy-going. The one thing holding me back from giving five stars is an incident I experienced when trying to transfer my mother from a funeral home down the road to the Neptune Society. Initially, I didn't realize I could come straight to the Neptune Society for cremation and save money (AKA the funeral home's operating costs). In the midst of the transfer, the funeral home's director incorrectly stated to Mr. Cameron that I had completed paperwork with them and was therefore not able to complete the transfer. This however was not true and caused me unnecessary stress. I understand this miscommunication wasn't Mr. Cameron's fault, but perhaps Mr. Cameron could have verified this information before bringing it to my attention to save me some difficult emotion during an already hard time in my life. read more

I went to Neptune Society for cremation services for my husband. After the initial meeting and payment, it was all red tape and endless phone calls. They were unwilling to schedule appointments around my schedule. It took 2 months to get my husband's ashes. Go to a REAL funeral home if you want service. read more

Well so far this has not been a very good experience for my husband who recently lost his mother.She paid for this arrangement over 10 years ago. Passed away in Arkansas always carried her Neptune card. She passed away on Saturday 11/20. Today is 11/30 , ten days later and the director has yet to keep my husband in the loop on where his mom body was taken, has not explain the process of how long the cremation process will take and when to expect her to be cremated and sent to us. Just a little disappointed in this whole communication process with the family. read more

The person who sat with my family to discuss cremation for my father was professional, courteous & took her time to explain our options. We purchased our own urns & as a courtesy they filled them with my father's ashes. The place is clean, the staff friendly. Their prices were reasonable. My experience with the Neptune Society was great! Their counselor walked me through the steps for my pre-arrangement and it was clear, easy, and surprisingly quick. The office is neat and clean and the staff are pleasant and courteous. I needed to make a change to my payment plan and it was handled over the phone extremely fast. I am very pleased with the service I received from the ladies at the Neptune Society here in San Antonio. Tiffany was a great help to me. My loved one passed away at the end of March, before the covid 19 virus blew up, and taking care of things has been really difficult, but this went really smoothy. My loved one passed away very suddenly and I had set up everything at the very last minute but thanks to Tiffany, and her staff, everything went well. I took off one star only because there were a few times, during the process,, when I felt there a was some lack of communication. But besides that, this is the first time I've ever had to deal with taking care of a member of my family passing away and I think it went relatively well. read more

If I could give them no stars I would. i don't know where to start with. when I initially purchased my policy I was lied about how much I would be reimbursed if I were to cancel, I was neglected to be told some things I purchased were non refundable, I was given wrong instructions to cancel, I was unable to stop my automatic payments online, every time I called I would get told to cancel differently, told I would get an inaccurate percentage back, they sent a paper to cancel to my old address I haven't lived at since BEFORE my policy. to make it worse they have started to play a negative role in my mental health. if you are hoping for transparenc, great customer service, a kind human or peace of mind with your body after you go then I would suggest to look else and not give them your money. read more

No getting around it. Knowing this and bracing myself to lose loved ones are the best ways I personally know how to cope. And my coping mechanisms were certainly tested this year. I lost 5 family members in the past 10 months. My mother-in-law was the latest to move on. We chose Neptune Society to handle her cremation. We had made arrangements with them months prior - after we found out she had terminal cancer. Neptune Society is technically open 24/7. An answering service contacts whomever is on call in case of death after office hours. The employees were professional and courteous throughout the process, but I can't give more than 3 stars. 4 stars = "Yay! I'm a fan" 5 stars = "Woohoo! As good as it gets"...neither seems appropriate in this case. So 3 stars it is. read more

My mother didn't wake up one Friday morning. The nursing home called me very early that day and I rushed to sit with her. Neptune Society had been notified. I was contacted directly by the Neptune Society to give me estimations of their arrival. When the representative arrived she very respectfully and discretely transferred mother to the gurney. Mother was covered with a beautiful brocade cloth and moved out to an unmarked vehicle equipped to accept and lock the gurney into place. The move of my mother's body was quick and, I emphasize, respectful. The next week I was notified when the cremation would take place. A week later I received a call to come accept mother's remains and her death certificate. Neptune also contacted the cemetery and, with my input, selected the date of internment. I was very pleased with the care and service we received. I am very glad, as are our adult children, that my husband and I have our own Neptune Society contracts! read more

The cost to bury a loved one is prohibitive in most cases. Neptune Society has changed that completely. My Mom just passed. We knew it was coming as she was 91. Contacted Neptune Society and got her plan taken care of. It was most easy to do. The representative was excellent. Good enough I got my own policy also. When the time came, Mom was treated most respectfully. When I met with the office staff, they were warm, caring and professional. Made her passing as easy as I could have hoped for. They did a remarkable job. Shock, trauma, disbelief; they are all part of the process of loosing a loved one. Using Neptune Society made this far easier than I could have hoped for. I trust them. They are worthy of your consideration. I trust them enough, that they will take care of me, when my time comes. read more

Fortunately, Neptune and TIFFANY CURA have made the situation tolerable and easy though the grief has made me mentally unavailable. I will also buy an account for myself with Neptune as soon as I feel a little better to save my family the hardship that comes with the aftereffects of a loved one passing from this Earth. This place keeps sending my ALREADY cremated father mail every 3mos for the past 3 1/2 years!! They want him to make "his cremation" plans with them. NEWS FLASH PEOPLE!!! He has been died & cremated since 2011! Your a bit last on gaining his business. We did not even use this place to have it done. I have called the local office in San Antonio only to get attitude and "We will remove it from the list". I have called the national office as well. CAN YOU PLEASE STOP HARASSING MY FAMILY!!! read more
