Travis went out of his way to be there the day I got my TV. Great clean work plus he's super chill.

I became a customer of Jorge's several years ago after finding him on Pioneer's website listed as a…read morecertified technician. I've brought him two sets of Technics 1200s and an Allen & Heath Xone:42 mixer. The first time, while he was still at his Glendale location, he cleaned the contacts and jacks, performed an internal grounding modification, and upgraded the RCA cables on my 1200MK5s. More recently, he performed the same service on my 1200MK2s. His pricing is fair. I believe I paid around $124 for service on my turntables and about $89 for my mixer most recently. The MK5s are my daily drivers, and I've had no issues with them since the service. I haven't had a chance to use my MK2s yet, but based on my experience, I'm confident they'll perform just as well. Jorge is trusted by bedroom DJs like myself, as well as clubs, pro audio dealers, recording studios, and festivals. He and his team also repair CDJs, all in one DJ units, hi-fi equipment, and even microwaves. I've referred a couple of friends to him, and they all sing his praises.

I would not recommend Electro Tech Services to anyone. I took my CD player in for repair, and Jorge…read morekept it for a month and a half without fixing a single thing. First, I was told they received a defective laser. Then I was told the second laser was defective too. Whether that's true or not, after six weeks there was still zero progress. What made the experience even worse was the complete lack of communication. I received virtually no updates and had to keep calling to find out what was going on. After a month and a half, I got my CD player back in the same condition I brought it in. Keeping a customer's equipment for that long with no repair completed and almost no communication is unacceptable. Extremely unprofessional experience and a complete waste of time.

We got a VHS/DVD combo from my husband's grandmother who passed away and after testing it we…read morerealized it's not powering. We wanted to fix it. Who used a VCR nowadays? Well, us, for work related transfers and as cinefile-s (some movies - and they're rare were never released passed the VHS era). I started to look into Electronic Repair stores in the area and there aren't many left. Not surprised, but it's LA, so luckily, there are a few left in business, like FET Electronics. I read the Yelp reviews, it was encouraging and bookmarked it! Fast forward 3 months later, we had another issue with a similar Panasonic model that we own, so we decided to give the place a shot. My husband called over, talked to Mark, the owner and felt reassured after their conversation because he identified the issues just over the phone. We stopped by one day and dropped them and met Mark, who is very nice, knowledgeable, a real professional. Not many like him left behind! Too bad that is a profession that is going away. You don't always feel like throwing out equipment that has an issue and get a new one, not always that easy for your set up. Everyone has their reasons! The place is in Burbank, on Burbank Blvd. (close to the Hollywood Way intersection), we found street parking in front. The store might seem small, but it goes all the way back! It's a geek electronics paradise, lots of audio equipment around. Mark also did work for major musicians like Van Halen among many others - check his photo gallery on the wall! Famed clients! We left the VCR-s, called in about 2 weeks and he fixed them, he was testing them to make sure! After a few days we picked them up, he checked them for us, and he gives you a 3 months warranty which is great. If you're in a rush, this might not work out since Mark is busy, but if you're patient, he will get it fixed in a few weeks. It's not cheap, but he gets high quality parts and it makes sense for the repair to last. If you have an old piece of equipment that needs to be fixed, Mark is the guy. Hurry in before he retires! He is very nice, kind, nice to chat with, reassuring, calm, and very, very knowledgeable, you will trust him on the spot. Closed in the weekend! Great experience, great place, hope it will be around for a while. It helped our situation and the location is great! Nice to get great service at a local small business in the area!

I shut off my computer, went to Yelp and was happy to find someone who specializes in Apple/Mac. I then asked my La Canada Flintridge friends and one person endorsed him whole-heartedly. I called Jack and lucky for me he said to come over in a couple of hours. He has a nice, bright office next to his house, not far from the freeway exit for Trader Joe's. He's so easy to work with--smart, personable and clear. He knew exactly what needed to be done. I have a backup service, but having done a backup install before, I knew that would take days. Jack took care of everything and had my laptop back to me that same day. There is nothing like the security of knowing your computer is only in the hands of one trustworthy person instead of sitting in a backroom, handed off to someone you've never spoken to. Also, Jack is an authorized Apple tech and his fees are fair. He also helped me choose the right router (I was about to buy something I would have regretted). I have told all my Mac friends about him so I thought I should get around to posting here. Two things you should know: 1) Be sure to call first, he only sees people by appointment and 2) He takes cash and checks, no credit cards. If you have a Mac, this is your guy.
