This place was perfect. We got there right as they opened and we got to pick our seat inside in the AC. It was beautiful inside and everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Our server Rafael was great and very professional and friendly. My fiancé and I got the pesto tagliatelle and the carbonara which were both delicious. We also split the grilled chicken breast which was tasty! The food came with warm rolls of bread which was good. For dessert we split the tiramisu which was amazing and our server provided us both with a shot of melon cello and lemon cello (complimentary)! Important things to note: Great staff and service Beautiful inside Free water from their fountain that they fill up with a pitcher (first place in Italy with free water I have seen) Delicious food that is well priced. We loved it and would probably come back if we were in the area again.
What a wonderful dining experience right next to our hotel (Starhotels Metropole) in Rome. They severe the meals with freshly baked breads that tasted so good with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The service was fast and great. They answer all the questions we had on food allergy. Both pasta dishes we ordered were delicious. They tasted so good that we asked for extra breads to soak up all the sauces. After dinner, my wife chose to have Panna Cotta which was recommended by our server as their best selling desert. It was so good that I only got one bite. While trying to pay our bill, we were offered three different liquors to sample: Limoncello, Meloncello, and Grappa Candolini. The restaurant was packed with patrons. We told that they open at 4 pm to 11 pm to allow more people to enjoy the dining sensation here. All the staff are friendly and the dining experience here was the best that I ever had. Too bad that we did not find this hidden jewel the first night we were here. I would highly recommend that you give it a try when you are in town for sightseeing.
Excellent all around. The food was amazing. We ordered the meatball appetizer and bolognese with fettuccini for our main and lasagna. The place is charming and the service is top notch. So generous with water from their fountain, bread and closing drinks (no spoilers here). Highly recommend this place.
Nerone al Viminale absolutely exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the experience was incredible. The Filipino staff deserve a special shout-out -- incredibly warm, attentive, respectful, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a perfect meal. Their hospitality made the evening unforgettable. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with authentic Roman flavor. The carbonara was creamy and rich, the seafood pasta was fresh and vibrant, and the meat dishes were tender and full of depth. The grilled vegetables were a delicious touch, and the desserts... simply amazing. The trio of panna cotta was the perfect ending -- visually stunning and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and you can feel the pride they take in both the food and the service. After several meals around Rome, this was by far the best dining experience of our trip. Highly recommended -- outstanding food, exceptional service, and a team that treats you like family. Bravo, Nerone!
Visited Nerone on our final night in Rome! The food was lovely, they had a classic variety of Roman dishes. I had the Chef's Pasta, a pasta in a zucchini cream sauce that was lovely. The most notable part of our meal was our amazing server, Kim! He was friendly and attentive and made us feel so welcome. We also ordered the ravioli to share and he split the dish up for us. Great restaurant, would definitely go back if I'm ever in Rome again.
Such a lovely place for our final dinner in Rome! The staff is friendly and they cracked funny jokes throughout the evening. We got their house red to drink, then beef tenderloin and carbonara for our entrees. We finished the meal with a panna cotta sampler. They brought out a tiramisu and lemoncello shots on the house! Beef Tenderloin- Cooked according to preference, the meat was juicy and tender. The creamy mushroom sauce provided a layer of flavor. Served with potatoes and vegetables making it a filling and hearty meal. Carbonara- The pasta is cooked al dente. The sauce is so rich and flavorful, probably the best I've had in Rome. The crispy panchetta slices are generous. Panna Cotta- Creamy and light with a variety of sauces to try: chocolate, caramel, and amarena cherries. The caramel was my favorite, the sauce was rich and decadent and you get crumbled biscuits for extra texture. The cherry was fresh and fruity and provided a bright contrast against the panna cotta base. The chocolate is a classic and the sauce had the right amount of sweetness. Wonderful experience overall! A must try when in Rome
This was our favorite meal in Rome. The food was excellent but the service was even better. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met. They were incredibly pleasant and accommodating. I highly recommend you check this restaurant out.
The Sauvignon forchir was great. The caprese was delicious though it needed some pepper. The spaghetti with tomato sauce went very well with the parmesan. Tiramisu was disappointing too much coffee and not enough sweetness. They also gave me some digestive liqueur as compliments from the chef. Overall wasn't too noisy. 9/10 would eat here again.
This restaurant was decent and worth looking into if you're in the area. The service was great, and our waiter was so kind. He stopped by multiple times, refilling our water for free, which isn't too common in Italy. I ordered the gnocchi with bolognese sauce and it was good for a casual restaurant. Additionally, it didn't feel too formal and there was some nice outdoor seating. Overall, I would consider stopping by for a quick, casual dinner, with some friends or family.
We wanted close to hotel and we got it! Very nice staff they even gave us a free dessert in addition to the one we ordered! The chicken lemon was good but I don't favor the breast as I find it dry but it was good all the same! The grilled veggies were cooked perfectly and the ravioli was delish with a fresh made pasta sauce! The strawberry mascarpone was the star of the show for me! We sat outside in the patio on the back of the building and other than the street scammers ( trying to sell you something worthless) it was very nice! It's casual but slightly upscale at the same time. It seemed like the inside was pretty sizable!
You guys this is a place you have to visit if you're in Rome, we stayed in Rome for 10 days and we had dinner at this place for three nights. The desserts are amazing their house wine. It's delicious. I had salmon and lasagna and some sort of truffle meat I do not recall the name.
This is a late post (almost a year late) but this place gets enough attention on its own. The food and ambiance is great. Pictures I think speak for itself. Be sure to make a reservation beforehand because they are full every day. We didn't so we had to come back the next day to get seated but it's worth it. The staff is super friendly and was surprised to see almost all are Filipino. I still keep in touch via social media with a couple of them. Shoutout to Kim and Anjo and the locals. Italians are so friendly and chill. Definitely hoping to make my way back to Rome and visit Nerone.
Well, in Rome, we were looking for a place for dinner and found this place here on yelp. It was close to our hotel so we walked over. There was nobody inside, so we took a nice table inside where they offered us complementary water, which is rare to find in Rome. We ordered pizza, carbonara, bruschetta And the salmon special. Everything was absolutely delicious and the service was phenomenal. Our server was really friendly and fun. He even gave us free drinks, even though we didn't even ask for them. First, he brought us three lemoncellos at no charge. Then he brought us 3 melloncellos at no charge. He kept wanting to bring us more drinks at no charge, but we had to turn them away because we didn't want to drink anymore. He even gave us a free dessert. By the time we left, the restaurant was starting to fill up. I highly recommend this place. The food was delicious and authentic. The restaurant was also really nicely decorated inside. Felt like a typical Italian style restaurant.

So good, we went back a second time. The staff is really welcoming. They gave us a complimentary dessert both visits as well as limencello shots. The tiramisu is light and full of flavor. The cheese plate to start had a pistachio cheese and an olive cheese, both rich and such a pop of flavor. Recommend the veal and filet for dinner options. read more

Wow! I went to Nerone on our first night of Rome, and we do not regret it whatsoever! We walk in, and the service is phenomenal. They also had two restaurant cats, named Guillermo and Luisa! Our appetizer was extremely delicious. I ordered the carbonara, which was really good. Our dessert was also incredible. The place is also really nice with a cool fountain. The food is great and the service is incredible. If you're going to eat somewhere in Rome, I would definitely suggest Nerone! read more

I did not realize this was listed as a pizza restaurant. Our meal was fantastic!!! This is definitely the best and most amazing place to eat in Rome. OMG, everything was great. The freshness and purity taste were unmatched. One person in our party ordered 2 meals. This is how great it was. Unfortunately, we found this place the very last day of the trip. Glad we did! The atmosphere was great. The waiter was comical, friendly and help with suggesting wines, food menu item and other. We even struck up a conversation with the table next to us. They were from the states as well. Fortunately for them, they had discovered this place days prior and it was their 3rd time dining. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. Luckily, we were able to be seated as we did not have reservations. What a wonderful and memorable all-around experience. If ever in Rome, make reservations to ensure you visit this place. read more

I heard about this restaurant from a blog and put it on my itinerary since it was 6 min walk from the hotel. The first night we didn't get in because it was fully booked. I've tried to call few times to make reservations, but didn't get through. On our last night in Rome, we thought we would try one more time and we got a table! It was meant to be! Food was excellent! The antipasto (appetizer) was a perfect mix of cheese and cured meat. It was so fresh and tasty. The main course did not disappoint either. I had the chicken escalope and the creamy sauce was so flavorful. The grilled vegetables balanced the dish well. We even finished the whole bottle of wine! I can't remember what we had for dessert, because I had a good buzz by the end of the night. I think it was pistachios cheesecake? It was great! Service was phenomenal and didn't feel rushed because the restaurant was so busy. Our waiter was friendly and had small talk. I would come back the next time I'm in Rome. read more
Very kind service, really very nice and helpful. Nice authentic feeling place and the pasta was quite good. Wine wasnt my favorite but was still pretty good. Was asked to pay with cash if possible. Ultimately a good place for a nice sit down meal if you're in the area. read more

What a wonderful experience for our first dinner in Rome!! Beautiful restaurant, friendly service and the food was delicious. We especially enjoyed all the housemade pastas. The establishment is on the left once you pass the Imperio walking toward the fountain, small and unassuming. We were greeted warmly as we walked thru the door. The walls were shelved with wine and the room was inviting. Service was prompt and excellent. The food was well prepared and seasoned perfectly. Well with the walk. read more

Yelp reviews were spot on for this restaurant. The service was superb, the ambiance was quaint. They even serenaded a couple at the table behind us. The food was the best we've had in Rome. I had the fettuccine with creamy mushroom and sausage sauce. My daughter had a spaghetti with fresh pesto sauce that was delicious. The tomatoes were perfect in the caprese salad with delicious buffalo cheese. We finished the meal with the tiramisu and pistachio cello. We would be back if it wasn't our last night in Rome. Nice little restaurant.. Clean very friendly staff. Went there around 830 pm but no table so had to come back 930 pm. Ordered nerone antipsta as appetizer.. We were sharing so they split it into 2 plates which was very nice. Ordered tonarelli cacio e pepe and fettuccine with bolognase sauce. And bottle of red wine. E pepe was not good as I expected.. I expected little bit more creamier and cheesier but still good. Past was cooked perfectly. Bolognase dish was very good.. Nice meaty and saucy.. They gave us complementary melon shots which was really good. Over all price was good food was good and service was excellent. I would definitely come back. read more

We were a table of six sitting outside and it was awesome! Kim was a great waiter and was very entertaining. The food was absolutely wonderful. Lasagna, spaghetti, chicken and ravioli were all great. Then we were blessed with shots at the end of our meal!!! read more

Our first meal in Rome at Nerone was so memorable that every meal afterwards was a comparison to the delicious feast we had at Nerone. Nothing we tried beat the service and taste so our family had to come back to Nerone as our last meal in Rome. My family and I each had a dish that was recommended by our server, Kim. We were not disappointed! Their truffle cream sauce is to die for and it's been on my mind constantly since returning home. Kim and all the staff were so welcoming, attentive, and delightful. They truly go above and beyond to make their customers feel like family - i cannot emphasize enough how extraordinary the staff, and food, are. Eating at Nerone was definitely one of the highlights of our Italy trip. Come to Nerone if you are looking for fantastic food (my family practically licked the plates clean) and an incredible experience. read more

Not a single person working here was anything less than great. Super inviting and genuine. Bread and water are not extra charged for, unlike like most restaurants we went to in Italy. They have a cute fountain where the water comes from. The workers and owners are very sweet, kind, and funnn. Oh, and the food is delicious!! Quaint building complete with a running water fountain. The staff were tremendously helpful and friendly. Our server Kim (male) ended up being multitalented as he later pulled out a guitar and they all sang happy birthday to another patron. We started with a cheese appetizer plate, which was delicious. We followed that with a lobster/seafood ravioli, which we had plated for two. (Delicious). Next was a garlic spaghetti dish and a homemade sausage linguine cream sauce. These were outstanding, both. We had a nice bottle of their montepulciano wine, followed by dessert which kept showing up - complete with three after dinner drinks; a pistachio drink, a lemoncello type drink, and a meloni type drink, which were all superb. not a single thing to distract from an outstanding experience. Even the house cat outfront and its little house were cute. Bravo! read more

Service was wonderful and food was delicious as fast! One if our party is pregnant and had some good aversion so needed to order something different and they brought it out so fast they didn't loose time with the rest of the party! Lasagna was a definite highlight along with the amazing ingredients desserts! Highly recommend. read more
