I have dealt w/ the folks from the GSS side (operations, buyers, planners, escalations, customer service, logistics, engineers, etc.); they're great and caring people. They coach me. They give me advices. They donate to help my cause (not work-related). They lecture me because of my choices (lack of sleep). They genuinely care and will help me learn to be a better and more valuable asset to the company. I can text them, I can call them, I can email them.. I certainly have no filter when I talk to them. They appreciate honesty, hard work, and getting the job done (like all employers, I am sure) but the culture and environment here is surreal. I love what I do. I love my company. I love my customer. They had pizza, a grill, mexican, and asian counters. They also had a salad bar that was decent. I had the pizza, which was OK and a salad. I assume that if I worked here I would get the salad every day and would be sick of it in two weeks. Prices were low. This place is only open to employees and their guests, so you will have to get a job if you want to eat here. Worth it? Perhaps.

These were the specific instructions provided by the Xfinity rep on the phone. when I canceled my service. The store accepted the equipment, but refused to provide him with a receipt, claiming he needed the account holder's identification for "security reasons." Because of this, I had to leave work and drive to the store. When I arrived, Carl (the name given) explained that they could not provide a receipt because my son was not the account holder. When I questioned what security concern the receipt actually posed, he responded, "Well, you're here anyway, what does it matter?" rather than trying to professionally explain the policy. What made the situation more frustrating is that Carl ultimately gave me the receipt without ever asking for or verifying my identification, which completely contradicted the original explanation. The receipt itself also contained less account information than the statement my son had already provided. The entire situation felt unnecessary, poorly handled, and avoidable with better communication and consistency.

I was set to work a contract position for 6 months at a non-profit and was specifically told the number of hours constituting this work period that I was to work. Three months into my contract, my supervisor at the non-profit "reminded" me my contract was going to end in one month since the woman whose position I was filling while she was on maternity leave was supposed to return. However, this was news to me because my LMG recruiter, Fernando, informed me I was supposed to have a 6 month contract and not a 3 month contract. I was at first disappointed with the non-profit I worked at and not LMG because I assumed the non-profit was responsible for the miscommunication. But when I informed my supervisor that I was supposed to work for 6 months, she showed me the email correspondence with Fernando from LMG that mentioned the specific dates I was supposed to work. Her email specifically showed the dates for the 3 months I was supposed to work and not 6 months like Fernando told me. In the email thread she showed me, Fernando even responded to her and confirmed the 3 month-long contract. Therefore, Fernando showed a lack of professionalism and high level of incompetence by not communicating this important information to me. When I told Fernando that my contract would be ending early, he had the audacity to blame me for taking a vacation and said that must have been the reason they were terminating me early. This made absolutely no sense since I informed my supervisor of my vacation months in advance. He refused to take any kind of responsibility for the miscommunication that he was clearly responsible for. When I asked my supervisor whether my vacation had anything to do with my contract ending early, she assured me it didn't and said the employee returning from maternity leave was the only reason I couldn't work longer. This was one of my first professional experiences as a new graduate and I regret ever working through LMG, and it was extremely frustrating and negative.

Good benefits, large campus, though slightly older buildings. What was awesome though was the amazingly cheap diner. Which had some amazing food. And the great thing was, it was literally like 30 feet from my cubicle. Awesome. The grill chef, Luis - my hats off to you, man. Miss working here!
