Brought my truck in they repaired it but when I got it back the check engine lite was on. I told them and they took it to the back and cleared the lite but did not check why it was on. I left there to go back to San Francisco and on the way back the lite came back on. Took it to a real repair shop and I saw that they did not plug the TPS sensor all the way in so my truck was not shifting properly. They are to rushed to make the cash. They even charge you more if you use a debit or credit card. I would never go back there again read more

My girlfriend took her motorhome to these people at the request of a co worker. She was never given any estimates or quote, yet received a call that the motorhome was complete. Upon picking the motorhome up she was presented a bill for $1849.82. This was completely shocking! As it was taken in for a tune up, oil change, 2 leaking faucets and check the generators charging system. Upon looking at the invoice I notices a sublet repair of $535.00 to REPAIR "shower head and faucets". This is absurd as both faucets could have been purchased new and installed for much less, there is a couple "O" rings in there that's it! Upon driving the motorhome it now runs worse than it did prior to taking it to them. It ran fine before just wanted to do a periodic tune up, oil change, as she just purchased it. Now the frustrating part! I have called 3-4 times and cannot get any help or answers. Two times I have called I was directed to two different gentleman that had such heavy accents that I could not understand them. The next I talked to a woman that said she would have the correct person call me back to answer my questions. This never happened, it has been over a week. read more

Bernie was great! We were told it was our starter so we took it in and we're prepared to pay the five hundred something it would cost to replace it. My husband truck was dying and flooding out. Took it to the shop to have this fixed. Paid the initial fee for the diagnostic to replace the things that the shop stated would fix it. When we did have the repairs done we paid another 432.00. The truck again died the very next day. Took it back to the shop stated that it was not fixed. Left the truck to be repaired as promised it would be the first time. After the first week of not hearing from the shop we called them was told that they would call back later that day. Never heard from them. Called them a second time on the following Monday and got the same answer. Would call back in few minutes, never called until the following day which at that time they said that they would fix it for another 500.00 dollars. When went to get to the shop they insisted that we asked just to get it to pass smog. I did not need it to pass smog because already registered. I feel taken advantage of and my hard earned money spent for nothing being done. read more

I wish i could give this place zero stars. Aftering bringing my car here because it was one of the only places the warranty would cover, they still didnt fix the problem. Spent $500 or more each time when they said it was fixed. Eventually went to the other place on the warranty becaise my warranty dropped nevada auto for being crooks. Took it to the other place. $100 out the door and they said was the thermostat. Nevada auto apparently replaced and checked the thermostat according to paperwork. Apparently not. These guys are crooks. They take money from you and never fix your car. Not only that, but their customer service is horrible. Not nice when the manager is screaming and just plain rude. We are on our way to Washington State for a wedding. We decided to drive our RV because I had made the flower arrangements plus we wanted to do a little vaca time on the way back. We lost our brakes on our 36' diesel pusher just as we got into South Lake Tahoe. Could not find anyone to fix it up there so we made our way down to Reno as we had a company tell us they could do the work. Upon arrival on Saturday morning they told us it was over their head. We had called everyone we could find on the net but no one could take care of it for a week. We made it to the Marina RV park to spend the rest of the weekend. Upon arriving we were given the standard welcome pamphlet with advertisements. That is where we found an add for Nevada Auto Diagnostics! It said they were open on Saturday so we jumped in our tow behind Jeep and went over to talk with them. The owner Bernie said they could fix it but they were really busy, maybe by Tuesday or Wednesday. When I explained that I had all the wedding flowers etc. He said to bring it in at 8 on Monday and they would fit it in. We were optimistic but a little jaded due to the run around we had gotten from the last 5 places we went to. I was so thrilled that they took our RV into the shop and started working on it right away. It was a major brake meltdown. The last mechanic that did a major brake job on it put new parts in wrong less than 5,000 miles ago. The team at NAD got right on it, got the parts ordered and delivered within 2 hours and had the brakes completely rebuilt within 5 hours (a major job on a rig this size). Everyone in the shop was very polite, helpful and efficient. They jumped through hoops to help us get back on the road so we could make our timeline. In addition I found their shop to be very clean and organized, all the right tools and talent too! I would give anything to have a mechanic service like this in San Diego, they are priceless! read more

This is the worst shop in town by far. They are crooks, they do bad work and they take forever doing it. This isn't based on one bad experience either I was forced to bring my car there several times by my warranty company and every time was an awful experience. I gave them three chances and a couple thousand dollars to fix my cooling problem and there was no difference after the work was done. When you do several hundred dollars worth of work on a cooling system you would think they would turn the car on and see if it still overheats. Not Nevada Auto diagnostics they just took my money and sent me away with a still broken car 3 times. I also paid them to repair a automatic window that stopped working and recharge my air conditioning 1 week later the window is worse then before, 1 month later the air is hot again. Also every repair ends up being 200-300 dollars more then the estimate. They always find some excuse to rack up the charges at the last minute. Do not under any circumstances take your car to this shop ever! read more

If possible, I would give NO stars to Nevada Auto Diagnostics. However the website requires I give it some sort of rating before it permits me to submit a review. I have been in sales in the auto industry here in Reno for 25 years and am now retired. I have worked for several dealerships in that time and know the auto industry inside out, to include sales, parts and service. I was having trouble with my vehicle, as it was surging and not delivering fuel through the injectors. Rather than take it to a dealer, I thought I would save some money and was told by a friend that Nevada Auto Diagnostics was fairly priced and had good technicians. I took my car to them and left it there. After 3 days I had heard nothing and called them. I was told that they hadn't looked at the car yet but would get to it soon. After the 4th day I called again and was told that it would be ready soon. When they finally finished with the vehicle, I was told that they had difficulty diagnosing the problem but found that a plug wire was arcing, causing the surging, etc. He then told me that they had to do a complete tune-up on the vehicle, which on this vehicle meant that only the plug wires and plugs had to be replaced. Then the BOMB! He wanted $500.00 for this magical tuneup! I went into shock and now told him he was a thief and was gouging me. I told him that I spent 25 yrs. in the car business and knew he was charging me DOUBLE what a dealer would charge. I refused to pay him. He then told the technician to pull the car back into the bay and put the old parts back into the car. I then called his bluff and told him to do that and sat down in their waiting area for him to return my car to me. I again told him he is a thief and I knew that. I told him that job should cost no more than $250.00 and that was what I would pay him. He hemmed and hawed and then said that he would accept that and he never wanted me to come back there. (Only a crazy person would go back there!). I paid him and left with my car and my wonderful tuneup. I got on the freeway, accelerated, and the car immediately began surging again, giving me no fuel through the injectors. So, not only are they thieves at Nevada Auto Diagnostics, but totally INCOMPETENT as well! I then took my car to my mechanic in Carson City for repair.I had them give me a quote for the work I had done at NAD and was quoted $263.00. So, I paid $250 for work that was never needed! My mechanic in Carson City (Mario's Auto Repair) then diagnosed the problem and fixed it properly. Had I not been too lazy to drive to Carson City in the first place, this entire fiasco would never have happened. The bottom line is simple: Nevada Auto Diagnostics will absolutely overcharge you for their work and it may not even be the correct diagnosis for your problem. If you are a woman, make an extra deposit in your checking account because you will surely be overcharged. I would urge NO ONE to use Nevada Auto Diagnostics on the corner of Kietzke and Plumb Lanes. read more
