My wife and I are very happy with this office. I had doctor Naibauer evaluate my eyes and check for some worrisome floaters. I was under the impression that they could be removed but I turns out that these are things you just have to live with. On the positive side at my age of 43 I'm still with good sight and no need for glasses. My wife on the other hand has been wearing glasses and contacts since childhood and she pulled the trigger on the laser surgery. I was against it at first (mostly because I was nervous about eye surgery). She elected to go for it. She made a appointment and was treated a few weeks later. The procedure was quick, painless and she's already seeing the next day with no eyewear. The procedure itself is so quick and painless. The doctors and staff here are very pleasant and will take care of your needs. If you need a exam, glasses, contacts or the surgery then this place is the place to go! read more

An absolute debacle. Wrong prescription, spend $500 on Oakley glasses only to have to get a new prescription less than 30 days after, and no accountability. Dr. Orton and his Medical assistant were keen to tell us that they were doing us a favor basically to have my husband remeasured (we have insurance and it was their mistake, no favors were done) prior to going in I had my husband go to a new optometrist and he got a completely different prescription, once in the examining room I told them this and although Dr. Orton did put his ego aside they still would not assume any liability for the monies spend on glasses stating that is common and most retailers will do new lenses at no cost. Imagine if my husband did not have a wife that is on it and he would be riddled with headaches thinking this doctor did his job. I get it mistakes happen but own up to them entirely and then fix it. It's time for retirement Dr. Orton ! he is flustered and forgetful and his staff is just absolutely unhelpful. To sat they are rude is putting it lightly. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE. read more

First of all I only made the appointment after they made numerous annoying calls to me telling me I was overdue for a checkup. When I went to check in for my appointment, I asked the lady at the front desk how much my co pay would be. I wanted to know upfront. She told me I had no co pay. When I was done with the exam they took me to the'check out desk'. I asked the lady there how much my co pay was. She assured me once again that I had no co pay. A month later I receive a bill today for $70. When I called their business office the lady said the employees at the office have no idea how much your insurance was going to pay. When I told her what happened, and that I felt misled, she just said well it's your responsibility to make that payment. I feel I was hustled. I would never recommend them to anyone. read more

These folks helped me today. I needed immediate attention. They got me in within an hour of calling for an appointment at the instructions of another doctor I'd seen just before. Naibaur listened to me and was thorough, concise, and deliberate in his handling. The tech Charles who took all the notes about my symptoms and tested my vision before I saw the doctor, he was a good guy. Very compassionate with a good sense of humor. This adventure will continue with Dr. Myint next week and that's a bummer, but, I am encouraged by the fact that I had such a positive experience with the folks that cared for me today. It is the modern insurance mill way in all of these doctor's offices in 2018. Each person does their thing quickly, the doctor is in, out and on to the next. I just came back from my appointment with Meshell in the opticians part of this location for a teach on how to properly use and care for contact lenses. She was professional and on time and most important very patient with me as this was something that was totally new for me. I spent a little over an hour putting in my lenses and taking them out. I was schedule in Boulder City for Aug 11 . They asked to come on Aug 4 instead in Henderson location . I agreed to my disappointment ! They had at least 40 people in the waiting room and a kiosk stand to check in . After my distraction with it since I had all my records already done in Boulder City . I went to a desk to clarify . She was courteous and took my co pay . I checked in at 930 am . She told me it is a 30 min pre check in but it would be about 15 min . At 945 a tech took me for dilation and exam . Then brought to a dark small room where 6 other people were waiting . Small talk we realized we were all scheduled to see the Same doctor . One gentleman said he was there since 915 ! I saw 4 rooms with patients sitting inside all also for sane doctor . At 1035 I went to the front to tell them to refund my payments and kindly told them I could not wait especially since I accommodated his schedule in a different city . They said he could not see me until October today is Aug 4 . I told them Ivwi find another doctor and they told me they will refund my refractive and copayment I'm 7-10 days ! Holy cow ! This is uncalled for unprofessional and I felt like a cattle ready for the slaughter line . There are literally hundreds of general opthamologists in so the southern NV. Today was my husband's and mine first time coming here. We both had not seen a doctor for 2 years, due to moving to NV and Covid. When I scheduled our appts., a very friendly lady helped us. I asked what our co-pay or charge will be with insurance, but she did not know. We arrived today, and were told at check-in that there is a $50 test fee (for a refraction fee, Code 92015) for yearly appointments that NO INSURANCE will cover! So, we had to pay the $50 EACH, plus our $35 copay each. (would've been nice to know ahead of time). My husband saw Dr. Singh and I saw Dr. Rouweyha. A nice lady did my eye exam portion with an intern present. My eyes were dilated and then I went in another exam room to wait for Dr. Rouweyha. When he arrived, he also had an intern present. He performed the slit test exam and gave me a diagnosis of bilateral endothelial corneal dystrophy. I never had this diagnosis before. About 4 years ago I was told I am developing cataracts, but nothing else. The doctor briefly discussed it, and said many people do not not they have it. When I told Dr. Rouweyha that my former eye doctors told me I was developing cataracts, Dr. Rouweyha just said "well, I know what to look for as I am a specialist." Ok...do I not have them? I should've asked for clarification. To me, the doctor seemed a little rushed. When my exam was over, the asst. did not ask me if I had dark glasses to wear...I asked her "don't I need to wear dark glasses when leaving?" She said some are on the counter at the check-in desk if I need them. (uh, OK) My husband felt like the office was like an assembly line. He didn't like being put in a room with 5 other strangers while waiting for Dr. Singh, especially during Covid. No temperature check was done either. My eye prescription only changed a little. We are both not sure we will return to this office. read more

I have no clue why the bad ratings because this place is the best eye physicians in Las Vegas maybe even the state! I got taken back in a timely manner, was treated with the utmost respect and awesome doctors a whole big list of them! People just like to complain even though they know they're wrong-this office even has a check-in kiosk that takes about ten minutes to complete so go a little early to complete that. After you're checked in they call you back almost immediately and I know this because my boyfriend went one day and I went the next day as a new patient. I was recommend by Shepherd Eye Center to come here for a contact fitting exam since it is their sister company. I should have done my research and went somewhere else had I know how disappointing the visit would be. I arrive on time and get called back after 30 minutes of waiting in the lobby, which predominantly was a older group of people there. I went to an exam room where a young lady asked a few questions - didn't give me an exam either. Sent me to a different room and waited a whole hour for the doctor. Once again he asked a few questions and was ready to send me home till I asked if there was going to be any type of exam. According to him, the young lady should have examined me but he went ahead and did it himself. Lack of communication, lack of professionalism and concern of patients time. On top of all that I had asked the lady and gentleman working at the glasses area to send my contacts to the Shepherd Eye Center on Pecos since it was closer and they confirmed they would. I knew they wouldn't because went I approached them they were just chit chatting away. Nothing was written down, long and behold I was right. Called to get a appointment they ask for the insurance number to confirm it was ok so they say yes no problem your insurance is ok you will pay $30 When you get ther there are these lousy staff members behind the desk who doesn't know any clue about what they are doing and even though they run my insurance and appears activi they want to give me a hard time saying they don't take it then that it didn't show active, then yes it is active but we don't take it and trying me to pay $150 + for their lousy service. I just moved to Las Vegas from out of state and needed a new ophthalmologist. I had developed a floater in each eye this last week. I called and explained my situation having had cataract surgery four years ago. I was concerned with any complications. They scheduled me for the next day, and I was able to see a ophthalmologist who advised that I should return in 6 weeks to check that the floaters were not bothering me and he indicated my eyes were healthy. The staff and my tech were friendly and I was in and out in exactly one hour. I would highly recommend this group for their great service and friendly staff. read more

The office staff in Pahrump act a bit like they're doing you a favor for entering the office with a seemingly veiled disdain or condescension ( but to keep it in perspective, the front desk staff in Las Vegas act even worse, and should be replaced IMO - such snooty office clerks there). You get to wait up to over an hour or three, in the Pahrump office watching silly kiddy shows and cartoons, which in itself is ludacris, since the average age in the lobby is about 70 yrs., and not once after 7 to 8 visits have I seen a child there - so it maybe the lobby television programs are chosen for the front desk's edification or education, and not the patients' entertainment - you remember, the ones filling up the lobby chairs for long periods of time between exams, dilation, tests, etc...yeah, those people ...the ones actually facing the TV, who contribute toward the facilities bills. I am giving a 1 star rating because the facility is generally very clean. The office and their offsite facilities have a huge communication problem involving scheduling and alerts. A reminder kept getting sent 15 days in a row, where I had to phone 3 different facilities 9 times to have the problem corrected, and nothing got done until two weeks later. It was blamed on the network which is BS since I used to own servers and know how admin privileges are used and can fix a network problem within a second, not weeks. Now to be clear, this rating does NOT include the doctors or their side assistants who are wonderful, 5 star rated people. This rating is only for first impressions of how the office is run, and how you are treated upon arrival when entering the facility every time. read more

The optical center at the Southwest office has an amazing employee named Cherona. I cannot say enough good things about her! She is very friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable about her work. I have a very strong prescription and she was so helpful helping pick out attractive, affordable frames and getting the right extras needed for my lenses. When I came to pick up my glasses she knew right away that something was wrong with one pair and made sure everything was done to make them right. I wish every workplace had such a great example of extraordinary customer service as Cherona. Whatever they're paying her isn't enough, she deserves a raise IMO! read more

I did have an accident I called and she told me because of the supply chain issues and the Covid that they're not doing that anymore. One Star, This eye doctor was named Dr. Mark Stradling. Total ripoff went because of excess tearing of my eyes charged me over $500 for exam and then suggested some eye drops. This doctor gave me a list of eye drops to use and my pharmacist at CVS showed me a better eye drop that was for itching and excess tearing. Went to Nevada Eye Physicians for first time. Dr Vincent A Gassen OD was fantastic and so was the staff. They got me in before New Years my eye was super red and was very worried. Dr Gassen pointed out what I needed to get done and my eye was cured in five day after two days my eye was clearing up. It's great when your able to se a Dr as a new Patient and quick and easy process to set up when you walk in with the Kiosk system. I'll be back to get eye exam and contacts. read more

I am here to gas up Dr. Gassen! Normally, I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to getting my eyes checked. The blowy-pressure-machine thing really freaks me out and for some reason, having to read tiny letters always feels like some kind of test that I absolutely must pass. Can't see the smallest line of letters? YOU FAILURE! However, Dr. Gassen was very personable and made me feel at ease during my eye exam. He was funny too. Unlike other eye doctors I've had in the past, he really explained to me in depth about the current health of my eye and answered any questions I had. 5 out of 5 stars, and even though I live in LA I will definitely come back to get an eye exam from him whenever I'm in town. The staff at Nevada Eye Physicians was great as well. I could tell they were quite busy, but they were very nice even though I came a bit late (gps took me to the wrong address). I hadn't even gone in and they already left a bad taste in my mouth. I cancelled my appointment with them tomorrow. I had made an appointment to see someone over spring break (since I am a teacher and there isn't a lot of time to do so). The guy on the phone was really nice so no issue there. Then this morning I get a call from "Elizabeth" saying my insurance had already been used for an eye appointment already and they couldn't see me if I didn't have insurance. First off, people don't have insurance so they pay out of pocket. Secondly, I never saw anyone. I made an appointment with another place over a month ago and my insurance changed our eye care provider which was not accepted, so I cancelled the appointment with the first place. So I called the lady back and explained this, and she was very rude accusing me of seeing someone else. I told her I even checked online and it said I could use my credit for the year for an exam and frames and it wasn't used. She didn't even ask to confirm my personal information, which I would have done that first. So after asking her to do so, she continued to argue with me. I asked if she can call my insurance (usually these places have a direct line and can verify faster) and she refused saying that I needed to call the other place back because it is showing there was a hold on my benefits since "I went someplace else". "Elizabeth" was extremely rude and incompetent. After going around in circles with her she said she would do it (I think she said this so she could get off the phone with me. Mind you, I was NOT rude. I was frustrated and SHOULD NOT be treated in a manner like I'm cheating the system) if there was a problem. I said can't you call me back either way? She's like "Sure MA'AM", and this was not done to be polite, but rather she was being passive aggressive. She never called back. I called and cancelled with them. I now have to call my insurance tomorrow morning to make sure I don't have my benefits on hold because of this "Elizabeth." This place not only lost my business, but my entire family was going to go here, all of which we all wear glasses. I'm writing this review as I am an hour and 10 minutes past my appointment time. If your time is valuable to you then I recommend a different location. after being a patient for years and they accepting my Humana ins and going thru numerous annoying test to determine that I have cataracts because I have blood cancer I chose to wait to determine if was in remission before i had surgery . Today 7/12 i called to set an appointment for the surgery and I was told they no longer accept my insurance and to go somewhere else. They never sent any notification they were dropping my insurance ,never gave a heads up so that I could have made a decision to move the surgery.SO THEY TOOK MONEY FOR ALL SORTS OF TESTS, POSSIBLY KNOWING THEY WERE NO LONGER ACCEPTING THAT INSURANCE. I saw Doctor Singh on 715/20. As I had cataracts in both eyes, he recommended I have surgery on one eye first and then the other. So, I elected to have surgery on my right eye. After an 1 1/2 hours waiting to see the surgery coordinator on the same day, I was told that my medical insurance would not pay any additional cost of laser surgery and I was given the amount the medical insurance cost paid for cataract surgery less any deductible or co-pay requirement. The amount was $4500. I did not have the money to meet this cost the surgery coordinator suggested for me to apply for Care Credit to pay for my medical bills. I did and was approved. It's been four weeks since my surgery and I am receiving a bill from the anesthesiologists, from the surgery center, and Care Credit. The total costs for cataract surgery did not cost $4500 as I was lead to believe, but $6200! Warning!!! Do not go to Nevada Eye Physicians for any eye care. They lie about the costs of eye surgery and to boot you will have to wait for hours to see a not too friendly surgery coordinator. read more
