Dr. Sekhon immediately recognized the urgency of my husband's situation (serious back compression progressing towards cauda equina syndrome). Dr. Sekhon scheduled my husband within 3 DAYS for emergency surgery. If not for Dr. Sekhon I am not sure my husband would ever have regained the ability to have normal bowel function or use his legs again. He's never told me what to expect., how long till they heal, how to walk with no toes, and how long should I keep my foot elevated, and try not to walk. How long do I need this painful boot I have to wear everywhere. Doctor Rembetski makes me feel insignificant. I cried the whole time i was in the examination room. I had an appointment scheduled today for a radio frequency ablation that should cut down my pain level a good amount. I showed up for my appointment. The girl at the front desk asks for my name. She looks in the computer which shows I'm not scheduled. She makes a phone call to another employee to see what happened to my appointment. A few minutes later another lady(Susan)comes to the front and walks me to the back. She was extremely rude and loud. She tells me I have a $3,100 balance from 2021. Due to that my appointment was cancelled unless if I can pay the whole amount then and there. I explain to her that I never received a bill. The insurance I had at that time always paid 100% of my procedures. Susan very rudely tells me that it is not her problem and shrugs her shoulders. I asked her why no one called me ahead of time to inform me that my appointment was canceled since I have a balance. I took a couple of days off of work for this procedure. I fasted for 8 hours. I mentally prepared myself for this procedure that is quite painful. I arrange for a ride since I was going to have sedation. Worse of all, I was thinking I was going to have some pain relief. Due to Surgery Center of Reno's lack of communication and lack of organizational skills in their billing department, my procedure was cancelled and I have to start the process of scheduling another appointment somewhere else which will probably take months while being in a lot of pain. I work in health care. I couldn't imagine treating a patient as poorly as I was treated by Susan today. You are dealing with patients who are in severe pain and or who need surgery/procedures. To tell a patient once they arrive that they can't be seen due to a bill from two years ago that they were not aware of who is in extreme pain is extremely unprofessional. This is no way to treat patients. . Do better

I was referred to Doctor Malcarney by a physician I know (and trust), so I set up the appointment…read more MRI was ordered, and the PA (Shawna Fearnley, who is very professional), filled me in on what tendons were no longer attached to my Humerus, and what needed to be done reconnect them (surgery)! Following this meeting, I must have come across three other physicians who all recommended Malcarney, one operating room RN who highly recommended Malcarney, and a bunch of other people at our Health Club (Should be called a recovery club) who gave high praise to Malcarney for her work on them! So I had the surgery (can't say that it was great since I was out cold when she was operating on me), but I can say that Malcarney and all of her team members were outstanding in their communications, their follow-up, their bedside manner, their subdued yet appreciated sense of humor, and their positive attitudes! It was as good of an experience as one can hope for, and the rest is up to the PT and my ability to follow his instructions... In closing, I have to say that I appreciate Malcarney's approach and how she and the PA explained it all. I highly recommend her, as do apparently countless other former patients in and around the Reno Area...I think that speaks volumes! You can't go wrong by going with Malcarney to perform the surgery...you can only go wrong by screwing up your shoulder (like I did)...Just glad that Doctor Malcarney was there to repair it all!

It is a beautiful and impressive building. Very new, very spacious throughout, lovely decor. The calm vibe there is achieved by the large inviting areas, the soft color schemes, the large appropriate artwork and so much space. Hallways are wider and everything looks fresh and clean. Waiting areas have a small coffee station, a selection of fun, comfortable chairs. Top this off with attentive and pleasant staff. Center addresses cardiology and breast concerns. These are situations that can be stressful but they have achieved the most calm and pleasant environment for these appointments. Kudos to all! Lots of easy and parking close to the building plus a small golf cart style little shuttle is there in the lot to assist as needed. Nice! Staff told me this building of just a year old. I was beyond impressed with every aspect of my visit here today!

Had I followed his advice, neither of these conditions would have been diagnosed and I would have ended up with substantial nerve damage. When I asked for an endoscopy to find out whether I had ulcers, Dr. Povolny angrily shook his finger in my face and called me a hypochondriac (before that year, I hadn't bothered to go to a doctor in years). His arrogance and disdain made a medically terrifying year even worse. I will always be thankful that I ultimately decided not to listen to him.
