My issues…read more#1 We waited 20 min after our appointment time before being called back to the room #2 When we got back to the room there was still people in the room, the guy told them oh your good to go and put us right in that room with out cleaning it changing the paper etc. #3 The doctor was very rushed not very personable especially with a young child bedside manner is huge. #4 They gave a new brace that is still a little too big and was told if that doesnt work some back and we can make a custom one, again felt it was more important to get us out quickly than to make sure it was done properly and insure we were good to go. #5 I had to wait an additional 6 min after check out for a doctor's note for my child.

Last July 2025 I fell down my stairs and broke my left hip, I had to go to the emergency room and a doctor over at Swift Institute was on the Emergency side of it, and replaced my hip with a few screws. Well, the screws were coming out as I walked, so I saw Dr. Winkle back at great basin, and he said you're gonna have to have your hip totally replaced, as the screws are poking out.! I ended up in the hospital a few days after surgery with a stomach problem, and he actually came by to see me, and it had nothing to do with my hip, he just wanted to make sure I was OK! Absolutely incredible Dr, I highly recommend him and any doctor at Great Basin Orthopedics! The best! I needed a nausea medicine, and unbeknownst to Dr. Winkle the medicine he gave me for nausea also helped the stomach problem I was having so I could eat again, no other doctor has ever prescribed that medicine for me and I get these stomach issues a lot, we were really impressed! That attention to detail was not lost on me. The facility itself is very clean and well maintained. What I especially appreciated was that there are private rooms where the therapy is applied. I've been in one other facility that had uncomfortable, crowded open bays. Additionally, there are enough techs to provide a much more personalized and focused treatment. In contrast, the staffing at the other facility mentioned previously was under resourced and over committed. Highly recommended

It would be helpful if there was an online link so patient could fill out in advance of their first appointment. Prominence Medicare required a $40 copay for the initial evaluation ($10/PT) and pre approved 16 visits. I had to suspend PT due to lower back pain and Dr requiring lumbar injections prior to an ablation therapy appointment and requested 6 weeks after ablation before resuming PT. Premiere closed my file until I could begin core strengthening PT in the future.

I was told they had no appointments, but they'd leave a message for my doctor, who would get back to me. Fast forward to 2 PM. I get a call from my primary care physicians office telling me I should go to an emergency room because they believe I have meningitis‼ In a panic, I head to the ER on McCarren of Northern Nevada Medical. Thankfully, the competent staff, based on the questions I answered and an examination, diagnosed me with a viral infection. No meningitis! They dosed me with a Tylenol-Advil combination and a lidocaine patch, then sent me home with prescriptions for nausea and extra lidocaine patches. I felt guilty for taking up the time of staff and resources for an issue that could've been handled in a timely manner in my primary care physician's office, had that office not been overbooked. And I won't even go into the five hours it took from my original phone call and message of my concerns, to the phone call I received advising me to go to an ER. This all too frequent "adventure"points to the sad state of medical care in this country, with emergency rooms becoming your primary care physician.
