I am writing to express a humble note of appreciation for the outstanding customer service provided by you and your technicians David and Ricky. As you are aware, my wife Heather and I faced generator challenges on 1/30/19. Candy you jumped right into the action and gave my wife instructions over the phone on what to do with the generator until you could have a technician dispatched to our home to attempt the repair. Candy, my wife told me you were very pleasant on the phone and empathetic to our situation. Within 30 minutes or so, I received a call from David (technician) letting me know that he was on the way and would be at my home in an hour or so as he was coming from the Fredericksburg area. David showed up in a timely fashion based on where he was coming from and the traffic in that area during rush hour time. David is polite, professional, and represented the Never Dark generator company as a world-class organization. He immediately began to work on the generator problem and kept me informed of all that he was doing to fix the problem. After a couple of hours of tinkering with the unit and calling a senior level technician for friendly advice; David was able to get the unit back online. However; the main electrical panel box was still not working to David's standards, and he expressed his regret to me and assured me he would be in the area the next day and would come by to take another look. Meanwhile, we had lights and heat, and that's a blessing! I commend David for his honesty and vulnerability in expressing to me that he was perplexed by the situation and that he would prefer Ricky, a senior level technician take a closer look at the case as well. At approximately 4:00 AM 1/31/19 the generator starts humming again. What a wakeup call for the neighbors! I went outside to turn it off and proceeded to call the Never Dark after hours' line, and to my surprise, a technician named Ricky answered the phone. I dialed the number knowing I would get a recorded message, boy, was I wrong. Well, I was not the most pleasant at 4 AM while explaining my problem to Ricky, yet he remained calm, offered me some generator advice to get me through the morning, and proceeded to let me know he understood my situation and that he will make me his first customer of the day. Ricky stayed in touch with me by text message giving me several ETA times which I appreciate as my wife and I are working class folks and would need to adjust our schedules accordingly to meet Ricky at our home. My wife met him at our house as I was busy at work. Ricky called me to let me know he had arrived and got right to work on the generator. Also, he called me periodically to give me updates, and to let me know what he planned to do to rectify our generator crisis. I like that kind of customer care. Consumers want to be and ought to be kept in the loop. Ricky found the problem, fixed it, and let me know that I would need to call an electrician to replace a part that had gone bad in the main electrical panel box. That's understandable as my wife, and I have been in our home 25 years or so. He then took pictures of the part in question so that I could leverage my conversation with the electrician of choice to replace the piece. How cool and thoughtful is that! Ricky and David are Rock Star techs that are passionate about what they do and compassionate to the customer's needs. For that, I am thankful. However; I want to let you know that your technician David, once again went above and beyond the call of duty to complete the generator job at my home. As you are aware, David took pictures of a part that I would need to purchase for my main panel box, not the sub-panel box that Never Dark installed but the one that came with the home. Instead of having me go and search for the part, purchase, and find an electrician to fix the part appropriately, David felt empowered and compassionate enough to research where he could obtain the part, drove to pick up the piece and installed it that day! Please note, because the panel box is dated, there are not many places that carry the part that I needed. It just so happened David found a place that had only one in stock. The moral of the story is, David had finished all that he needed to do to fix the problem from a Never Dark customer compliance perspective. I am thankful for David's kindness and generosity in finding and replacing the part. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that the Never Dark service fees are reasonable as well. My experience with Whole House Generators was wonderful! My husband always took care of anything relating to the generator but when he passed away in March of this year, I knew it had been left to me to take care of, and I was dreading this one. We just moved back into our house on January 10 and got our generator hooked back up later January or early February. When it finally came back up, a green and yellow light were shining. Well, with no reference material due to a fire last year, I didn't know what to do to try and correct it. Thus, I started looking for someone to come look at the generac and, hopefully, fix it. Never Dark was referred to us by our neighbor who has been pleased with their service. We too were very pleased with the service and generator that Never Dark provided us. They were detailed about the types of generators, their features, what they could and couldn't do regarding the install, and the pricing was exactly what they estimated. The installation looks better than what was originally outlined as they worked with us to have as less an impact on the area and the part of the house it was installed on. Never Dark coordinated all permits and county inspections so I didn't have to do anything. The 4-5 person installation crew was professional and spent two days installing the generator, gas lines, electrical, etc. and it was up and running the second day. I did not know how complicated this process was. Once completed, they walked through everything we needed to know about how generator operates, what to check, how to test it cuts over and left quick reference and detailed material. Later that evening after they completed the job, I smelled gas and called Never Dark and they came out immediately and troubleshooted the problem and it turned out the issue was with the Columbia Gas meter and nothing Never Dark did. They stayed until Columbia Gas came and fixed the problem and then Never Dark double checked their equipment to ensure everything still worked properly. I did a little searching online to find a generation installation company, but couldn't tell a real difference between companies from the reviews. I asked my neighbor who installed his. Our experience with Neverdark was awesome.  The initial discussion was clear and answered all our questions.  Other than a long lead time on the generator itself (which was outside the control of Neverdark) everything was quick and easy.  They did great work, took good care of our house, and took the time to explain everything to both of us.  Our house had had a manual generator panel installed before we bought it, and that work was not high quality.  As part of the contract price, Neverdark repaired our panel, leaving it in better shape than when they showed up.
