We bought a Generac at a great price through FH Furr, even enjoyed a fruitful maintenance subscription with them on it and other plumbing, HVAC, etc. But then, starting this year, we've tried to book an appointment for plumbing, HVAC, and annual maintenance on our Generac, and we just renewed our Generac maintenance subscription with them. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have been a no-show three times, and even after calling them to confirm an agent was coming out, they still ghosted us.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We are DONE with FH Furr Fredericksburg, VA. Do not be fooled by the 4.9 stars out of 5 on Google Maps. They're currently stealing our money in this new subscription because they've refused to show up. Unreliable, incompetent, no integrity. Avoid them completely. We woke up Saturday with the water system not working. We are on a well and started looking for a plumber. Concerned he wouldn't be able to make it, we called Furr, and they said they had someone and gave us a firm time, so we canceled the other guy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]At the time the Furr tech was supposed to arrive, someone different from the person we had talked to called from their office and said they had no one available and that the person who made our appointment should not have made it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We explained it was Saturday evening and there was a storm coming on Sunday, so we needed our water fixed. They also failed the county test for something simple that was overlooked during installation. They sent two other employees out to try to find out why the heat wasn't blowing properly and they oversee the problem too. It took them getting the report and having to come out here and fix the problem in order to pass the inspection. The two employees that they sent out were supposed to be two of their best people who intern overlooked the problem. Starting from the top in Management all the way down to installation employees they all need training in their jobs. FH FURR is a Company that I would not recommend to anyone. read more

This was for a propane hot water tank replacement, a water main valve replacement, and a whole home carbon water filter. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A rep contacted me immediately to schedule a free home estimate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The plumber arrived at my convenience, accurately assessed the situation, gave me several recommendations, prepared several quoted options, explained the pros and cons, and didn't pressure me on the decision. He came out next day and completed the work quickly, cleanly, and up to code. The end result looks immaculate. We had both of our HVAC systems go down over the Fourth of July weekend. Someone was supposed to come out on Saturday and then at the last minute said they couldn't make it and said they would come the next day. I called them on Sunday to set up an appointment for an estimate on a new system. Since it was Sunday, she took a message and said that someone would be calling me from the office on Monday. It is now Tuesday afternoon and still have not gotten a call. Fortunately, I went with another company that was much more reliable and honest. read more

Zero stars, negative rating were it possible. One year ago, I accepted their $49 offer for and AC service check. Tech was paid in cash. My mega-costly mistake was engaging tech to clean leaves out of unit, which he pressured me into believing this was critical. Credit card was charged for $556, which included another $49 service fee on top of the cash. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I tried to cancel the "maintenance contract," reached extremely rude manager who said it was "comped" for coming year.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] $49 was removed, but remaining $547 remained. This is a far-northern VA/DC company which charges astronomical prices. Word of mouth says techs work on commission (answer this, greedy Furr thieves) and customer must PAY them to LEAVE. Still, after one year, I get a pain in my stomach remembering this hateful company. In this area of VA, an AC maintenance contract runs no more than $300 for the works. I spent $21,000 on a brand-new HVAC system from F.H. Furr in 2022, and less than three years later the unit failed just as summer hit. What followed was a 4-month ordeal of poor service, missed appointments, incorrect parts, and unreturned calls -- all while my home sat at 80+ degrees with three toddlers inside. In April, I reported that the system wasn't blowing cold air. The first technician dismissed it despite my concern. The second technician confirmed there was a problem, found only factory-level Freon, and later identified a motherboard error. That part was ordered, and when it was finally "installed" a month later, it turned out to be the wrong one. The error code persisted and I was left to start the process all over again. To make part of my home livable, I was forced to spend $1,000 on window units. Their GM approved a reimbursement, but as of today (July 8), I have still not been paid. Worse -- after finally getting in touch with their Client Relations on July 2nd, I was told I would receive an update by July 7th. That update never came. I sent follow-up emails on both July 7th and 8th, and heard nothing back. It's hard to overstate how frustrating and exhausting this experience has been. After spending over $20K, I expected professional service and a working system -- not a summer of discomfort, radio silence, and broken promises. Buyer beware: if something goes wrong, don't expect F.H. Furr to make it right quickly -- if at all. read more

Big issue is that this company lends its name to local vendors, so when issues arise, no oversight or correction is possible. I booked an electrician and noted an online coupon for $75 dollars off the first visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Furr cancelled my appointment due to a technician issue and rescheduled me[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. During my rescheduled service, the technician spent most of his time trying to upsell me on a maintenance plan. He did not investigate my problem thoroughly and charged me $585 to spend 15 minutes replacing two 30 amp breakers. When I mentioned the $75 dollar off coupon, he told me he couldn't adjust the fee and I would have to " call the office". [[HIGHLIGHT]]We'll, there is no office, only an answering service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]And while they are very polite and say someone will call me, NO ONE EVER HAS. I have called 4 different times, and still no return call.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 99% of my reviews are positive, but this company failed to stand by their own coupon, which is fraud, and my technician provided such poor support I had to get another electrician out to finish the work and get me the information I needed. There is no way I would trust these folks with my maintenance as they are clearly profit driven and not at all interested in customer service. We called this company Monday morning o let them know our air conditioner was not working. We bought this 4 yrs ago and it's under warranty. This is my second review as my mom has still not been treated in accordance to her service contract (Peace of Mind Comfort Program). There is definitely no Peace of Mind here. The system was paid for up front and the warranty was purchased upon the installation ($15,000.00 10 yr warranty). Called about kitchen sink clog Representative nice and helpful. Quoted price for service call and to fix issue $83 total. I questioned price they affirmed and said that if they could not fix then free. Sounded good. When Plummer arrived he physically looked at sink but did not do anything. He then quoted a price of $1600 dollars. We told him what we were quoted. Then he said he could give us a discount or just charge us $500 to snake drain. He refused to do work at price we were given. We told him we were not paying his price to unclog a kitchen sink. He left. Either the plumber was trying to pull a fast one or the company representatives do not speak the truth. read more
