The lady who runs the store is very nice and gave us samples of different dried fruits, and they have a lot of good Vietnamese and Chinese herbs and stuff you cant find anywhere else. The medicine is also cheaper than i can usually find elsewhere!!

New An Dong is one of several Chinese medicine and more shops. They have everything a person needs for Chinese medications, teas, ginseng, ingredients to make herbal and healthy soups, and more. The "more" is what I often come in for - the treats! I learned a term recently that those jars and jars of preserved fruits are called Crack Seed. I've been making so many jokes since, but I digress. With COVID, the store is down to being managed by two siblings. They help you scoop the treats and I just point and/or ask questions. They wear gloves and mask. Everything is very clean. Come and support them!

Yumm! This place is awe-someeeeeeeeeeeeeee. I love coming here. It's a typical chinese herb market but for me the only one's I've been to regularly. The people that work here are probably the most helpful every time. I've discovered Li hing mui ( many flavors here) which I love. It's a hawaii thing. I've also tried about 20 of their other herb candies, fruits etc. Candied ginger was good. There were some spicy mango strips. Hands down favorite: gooseberries! It's like pickle? Sour gooseberries. They are $40 a lb so kinda pricey. My first time, I bought almost a pound. Over bought. Now I just go in with cash: I point and they still give me samples. Which is much easier to be honest. One time I got li hing but mint flavor: can't do it. Now I just say I have $40: what can I get. And point at several different things. And they pack and weigh them all for me. The only trouble is parking outside! But once you're inside, it's always fun and delish. I mean who doesn't want to point and taste?

My go to place for (Chinese style) dried candied ginger. They have several kinds too, there is regular and two lemony ginger. I like the plain the best. Ginger is good to eat if you experience motion sickness, undergoing Chemo therapy. It taste so good and you can tell it hasn't been sitting in the jar forever! They also carry dried plum It sweet and salty (wha mui) They also sell some Asian bottled/can goods too. Last summer I bought really sweet fresh litchee nuts from Hawaii and very reasonably priced rainier cherries Service is always friendly and prompt.

New An Dong is a small typical Chinese herb market and alternative medicine shop convenient for anyone near the Chinatown-International District. It's location and close proximity to Pioneer Square make me a fan more than the limited selection or prices. My wife and I stop here almost any time we are in this part of Seattle because New An Dong has some her favorite snacks, spices, teas, and medicines from her homeland. I stick to the sweets, candies, and snacks. We don't ask or expect a lot in the way of service so no complaints at all with the terms at New An Dong. We'll be back when in the area or eating dim sum next door.

Hawthorn candy. Sooo good, like an elevated version of the haw flakes I'd eat as a kid! :D

I've been seeing him weekly for 5 years for treatment of horrible menopause symptoms. The treatments are indispensable. Plus, since I see him every week, he treats anything else I may be dealing with that week. Whatever the ailment (cold, flu, plantars warts, etc.), his treatments are always helpful. I know many other patients (friends and people I've spoken with in the waiting room) who also believe Dr. Huang is the best. He has even treated people with cancer who have failed to respond to chemotherapy, allowing these patients to live long and healthy lives. I've seen other Chinese medicine docs and Naturopaths, but without success. If you want to see someone who will really understand your problem and know what to do, I'd highly recommend you go to Dr. Huang.

It is no exaggeration to say that the treatments, herbal medicine, and the diet prescribed by Dr. Huang dissolved my gall stones. Ultrasound imaging showed a 10mm gall stone obstructing my bile duct before treatment, with two slightly smaller stones behind it. I went for treatment every 10-14 days, doing my best to follow the diet and 2 months of treatment and another month of the diet and my second ultrasound showed no gall stones, and no obstruction. This may not be the solution for everyone, it is hard to recognize gall stones early on and I was fortunate enough not to be so ill as to need immediate intervention, but I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants an alternative to invasive surgery.

I've been struggling with arthritis and chronic pain in my hands for several years since I…read morerecovered from carpal tunnel syndrome. I've tried various treatments from western doctors, but they only seemed to treat the symptoms and not heal the core issue. So after seeing some government research on the effectiveness of acupunture for treating arthritis, I decided to give it a shot. First session and most of my pain went away for a few days. Before treatment, my pain was around a 6/10 constantly. After the first treatment, it went down to around 3/10. Pretty effective so far, but would it last? After about 2 weeks of treatment and herbal medicine, my pain levels dropped to around 3/10 consistently. The inflammation reduced a fair amount to the point where my hands weren't constantly swollen red all day. Since my condition was pretty severe I decided to get treatment for about 4 months, 1-2x a week, and doing physical therapy on the side to rebuild my hand strength. Now I can gladly say that I'm mostly pain and inflammation free in my hands. My hands are still a little weakened from overuse and there's some lingering soreness in my right hand, but my physical therapy is helping with that. I can actually lift weights again, which I'd go into relapse if I tried that before I began treatment. All the staff were always so friendly and accommodating to me. The clinic was very clean and aesthetically pleasing, with relaxing classical music playing in the background. If anyone's worried about dirty needles, I haven't caught anything besides the occasional minor bruising and swelling after sessions sometimes. But they all quickly healed in 2-3 days. My insurance covered costs, but even without insurance it still would cost less than western doctors with insurance. I would strongly recommend anyone suffering from arthritis to try out acupuncture and maybe do physical therapy as well. I thought I'd have to live like an 80 year old in my 20's forever, but I'm thankful for everyone at hopespring for helping my recovery.
