Soon walking in around 5pm it was nice and quiet and only a couple others were there. The only reason I gave them 4 stars was the waitress was amazing and the don't have much of a drink munu. Overall I got the Lasagna and it was so good. Definitely recommend. My husband got the sirloin which was a little undercook and some shrimp on scewers. We got peanut butter pie and coconut creame pie which was phenomenal. I would definitely go here in town. read more

Fantastic! Based on the rating we weren't expecting a whole lot, but we were very pleasantly surprised when we stopped in on our road trip. I stopped Saturday morning when I found myself in Punxsutawney unexpectedly. Even though I was the only person in the restaurant, I felt like I was under dressed. The food was great though, and the atmosphere was more suited to how I looked than the look of the surroundings. All in all I was happy with everything. My family an I went after we buried my grandmother. The service honestly started out great, but when we were finally served our meals they were mostly messed up, missing ingredients, served to the wrong person,or they were completely forgotten. There were 13 of us and only 2 other tables with 2 ppl at each table. The owner was there along with 2 waitresses. We did mention our complaints to the owner and he blamed everything on his servers having no experience and also blamed it on his cook. He took absolutely no responsibility for his restaurant and how we were treated. He also refused to refund any meals, eventhough one meal was raw and uneaten. My family an I will NEVER return to this restaurant. We were treated very poorly. The owner should really rethink his business ethics. He is going to mess with the wrong person one of these days and get into a lot of trouble. read more

Disappointing! I ordered their chicken tenders dinner. It came with two sides and bread. The chicken tenders were tough, rubbery and dried out. The bread was salty. Their glazed carrots were dried out and there wasn't any glazing. The loaded mashed potatoes came in a bowl, and when I dug down under the sour cream and chives I found the mashed potatoes had the texture and taste of box / instant potatoes. My wife ordered a calzone that she wasn't happy with, too. Some people seem to like their food, but I probably won't ever go back. read more

The food is okay but the price of the okay food was not attractive. I had the spinach and artichoke dip and a grilled chicken salad. Their salads were fresh and had a good portion of veggies and meat. However, this restaurant was nothing to give more than three stars. The renovation, after the fire, has improved the place, but it seems more closed in. I preferred the more open atmosphere, but it may just be me. read more

Great Pizza. They are currently rebuilding after a fire and we cant wait to get a Pizza from them at Christmas time. I first had this pizza a few years ago when we were visiting my in-laws in Anita. The food was great but the service was terrible. I get that it was Mother's Day weekend but they seemed completely overwhelmed even before the dinner rush came in. It took at least 20 minutes for anything (including just getting our first drinks). I asked for a refill and never got it. Our waitress rarely ever came to our table, didn't even ask if we wanted dessert and just handed us our check. That said, the food was really good so they do have a quality chef and that's why they get a 3 instead of a 1 or 2. I would consider giving them a second try but, if it's more of the same, I wouldn't give them a third. read more

Reopened 4/23/12 after renovations from a fire, feels like having an old friend return to town! Have missed their signature dishes--lasagna, pasta and sauce, pizza, grilled chicken salads, it was a treat to see them back on the menu. They are as good as ever and maybe even a bit improved. New things added to the menu--Greek salads, new chicken dishes, a couple of sandwiches. Will need to try them. Decor is attractive and wait staff trained and friendly. The anchor inn is where my parents parents went to eat. This was our favorite hangout and restaurant for many years. We had several occasions booked n the private downstairs. As well as upstairs. And ate there at least once a week. We used to love to hang out at the small bar. And shoot the breeze and some pool. After the fire, this place is just not the same. I like the new look but miss the old one. The prices seem to have gone. Way up from the old restaurant. And the pizza. Oh god they used to have a great pizza. We have ordered it several times now. Expecting different results. It is different very time. But never the same as what we were used to. I think it's the sauce. It used to be roses sauce. And the best way to describe it now Take a can of great value Walmart tomatoes purée. And dump it n a pizza crust. Add cheese and Bake... three of us went there on sat,no one else was there,we went in and not a sole was around..i waited for a few mins and saw no one,i said,Hello,anyone here,and the cook came from the back of the kitchen,and said,sit anywhere,,,,no hello,no smile,nothing..we got a booth..she came over and I had to ask her if there were any specials,she offered to tell us nothing...we ordered,we got our drinks,got our food,my side dish was cold and not fit to eat...she was in the back cooking,hubby got up, stuck his head into the kitchen and ask her to heat up my dish cause it was cold...she brought it out,no explanation,no sorry about that,again nothing...no one else came into the place to eat while we were there for over a hour from noon to 1;15....now I know why! service was terrible and parts of the food was ok,but we wont be going back! a cook from the kitchen should not have been trying to be a waitress when she had no clue as to want she was doing!...they lost 3 future customers that day... read more
