Front Desk/Booking: My reservation was booked through a 3rd party portal this trip as I was using points to pay for this one. No issues and once I notified the front desk attendant I was a World of Hyatt Member she gave me all the perks without hesitation. (Daily bottled waters, late check out options, etc) The lobby is very spacious that can easily hold 100 people with modern contemporary decor Room: The room was clean and the furniture was new and in great working order. The TVs were modern and all channels were there. The bathroom was spotless and housekeeping team were very friendly. Amenities: The gym on the first floor by the lobby was great. Medium sized with dumbbells for free weights, a multi-purpose cable pull machine and plenty of cardio options. All the equipment was new and the gym was clean. The morning breakfast in the lobby was great. The warm food options of eggs and sausage were my favorite along with oatmeal. Shout out to the fresh coffee and hot tea selection Location: This is where this property really shines. Located right off the freeway makes it very convenient. It's at the end of bay street which is a mixed-use shopping, dining, and entertainment complex situated along Shellmound street. Located right outside the main entrance, it's a quick walk to great dining and shopping options. Overall, I would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area. Safe Travels!

The conference room was spacious and comfortable. We used the wall mounted screens to attach our laptops and project out and discuss our work. The staff were helpful, friendly and responsive. The bathrooms were a short walk from the conference room and were clean when we needed it. This was my first time visiting this hotel, for what we did it was good. I'd suggest coming here for a day long conference and perhaps a place to stay if you're visiting the Bay Area!

I also received my requested bed choice even though I booked thru a 3rd party app. She could have been a little friendlier but it wasn't a deal breaker. My room was clean and well appointed. During my stay I gave my trash and exchanged used towels for clean ones with the housekeeper who was working a few doors down. Before making the exchange she asked my room number which seemed a little odd. There was a VERY loud announcement inside my room over the public address system after 9:30 pm. It informed guests that the building emergency situation had been cleared. I called the front desk because I hadn't heard there was an emergency. I was told "it was a drill." Kind of late for a drill imo. Glad I wasn't asleep because the announcement was annoyingly repeated about 10 times. Overall a good stay.

I have never experienced such a long wait to check-in. It must've been close to 1 hour to make it to the front. Once we got to the front, they didn't have the rooms ready. Albeit, this was after 5pm! We opted for a lesser level of room so we could get in quicker. We had paid for the M lounge. Honestly, don't bother! It's pretty bad. The extra cost was not worth the peanuts, m&m's, sodas and water. We will never come back.

You can do mobile check in on the app and there is also a mobile key. I am a Diamond member and while I would not say it was the friendliest Hilton I've ever experienced it certainly wasn't bad. My quibble. The door on some of the rooms are overcut. The airgap at the bottom seems like a bit of a security issue. Although one could say the lack of one could also be viewed as a security issue from another angle. A couple conferences were in town at the same time I was staying here so the bar area was a touch overcrowded with the normal tech business. Some of the drinks were wandering out into the main lobby area. Where they sat for a couple hours with stray napkins, etc. It seems like a basic commuter Hilton for people who for whatever reason find themselves with the necessity of staying in Emeryville or get a better deal than springing for SF. The bed was comfortable. The room itself was clean. Check in and check out were smooth and unremarkable. The room had a tub. My preferred getting clean option! If I was a tourist I would probably be a little underwowed. But I'm not, so it was just fine. If you are a tourist considering this hotel know it's nothing fancy but it is near the shopping mall that is Emeryville and for that reason everything will be pretty easily accessible. 4/5 for lobby cleanliness but otherwise perfectly serviceable. Would/will stay again.

The room itself was quite comfortable with two queen beds. My first disappointment in this place was that I found a black curly hair in the bathroom sink. It made me think that they may not have cleaned very well before we got there. Our second disappointment was that the bar closed early. We came back from watching fireworks at around 9 o'clock and the bar was supposed to close at 10. It had already closed by the time we got back there we were hoping to have a quick drink. We are also very disappointed that nobody knew anything about a shuttle that could have taken us down to the end where the park was so we could watch fireworks. I think that the staff was friendly enough, but didn't have a lot of knowledge about what was going on. It would've made it a lot easier for us if we've had the information about the shuttle so we didn't have to carry our chairs over a mile to the park. The street also was closed which we were not informed about. The refrigerator barely kept our food cold. I was very disappointed in this place.

Rooms are nice I opted for a room with a view which was cool but I should have opted for the 3rd floor which had rooms with a nice terrace balcony. The hotel it's close to so many things very walkable which I also liked. The reason I booked this hotel was because my friend was getting married and it was close by nice enough for me, etc. Now for the not so good. I didn't have soap for 2 days, I called to have it refilled and no luck. I went and bought some hand sanitizer. Next valet is absolutely horrible. Day of the wedding it took 30 minutes of me waiting to get the car. 30 minutes which put me behind schedule arriving late and was not allowed to attend the wedding ceremony. On top of that which I didn't bring up to hotel staff because I was already livid and super late so I just wanted to get going was that the cars system let me know the car had been running for 50 minutes. Which means while I was waiting for 30 minutes panicking I was going to be late the car was mysteriously running. Whatever it is what it is it's a nice hotel but valet is the downfall.

Spacious shower, blackout curtains, comfy bed, robe... what more could I ask for? There is a restaurant in the lobby, Otto's, where I did enjoy breakfast in the morning. The rooftop lounge was unfortunately not open during my visit. Housekeeping turns over & refreshes your room daily (if you wish). I was able to safely walk everywhere I wanted to go within 5-10 minutes. This ended up being the perfect location in reference to the wedding I was attending at a venue around the corner. It was a great little getaway for this solo trip. Would definitely stay here again!

I stayed here last year on a solo trip and was treated extremely poorly and unfairly by a member of the hotel staff. I previously left a detailed review to share what happened, but that review has since been deleted. I contacted the management team directly, hoping for an apology and a reasonable resolution. Instead, management strongly defended the employee's rude behavior and refused to apologize. I then escalated the matter to upper management and was told that a solution would be provided. However, I never heard back from them. The way this situation was handled was deeply disappointing. Rather than taking responsibility for poor service and addressing a legitimate customer complaint, the hotel chose to defend its employee and apparently remove negative feedback. This experience has completely undermined my trust in the hotel and its reviews.
