The only bummer is that they don't post their tap list online but we were pleasantly surprised that this didn't necessarily mean it was because their beers were priced at a premium. Many were around $5/pint. We were seated quickly and our server grabbed drink orders right away. We waited a bit in between some things but had a really great lunch overall. Great bowling alley and large bar area! The food here is really good! The fried mushrooms and potstickers are my new favorites but everything I've ever eaten here is good! I normally sit at the bar and Stephanie is an outstanding bartender. The bar is large and she hustles making sure everyone has drinks, food etc. she's also really nice to everyone! I can't believe just how huge this place is. From the bowling alley to the banquet rooms to the outdoor sand volleyball courts to the ale house restaurant and more. I frequent the ale house restaurant and bar portion. I enjoy the large bar with plenty of TVs to catch all of the games, the big variety of taps and bottles, a surprisingly high end bourbon selection and good and speedy food service. Julie is my favorite bartender, always quick to grab anything I need. My favorite food item is their fried mushrooms ($8.50). You can tell these are made fresh and are not the typical frozen variety. As well, I like the bbq dry rub wings ($14). They are a good size and for just $3 I can add a side of fries. Another favorite is the ale house chippers with their French onion dip. I stopped by New Berlin Ale House to visit Dwight at Spare Time Pro Shop after just starting bowling and needing a ball fitted plus a few accessories. Dwight came highly recommended, and now I see why! He was so nice, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable -- you can tell he has years of experience. He took the time to explain everything and made sure my ball was fitted perfectly. The bowling alley itself is really nice and spacious, and the pro shop is separate but easy to find. The whole place has a great atmosphere, with a large bar and plenty of lanes. I'll definitely be going back to Dwight for all my bowling needs -- and next time, I'm planning to stay and bowl a few games too! Highly recommend both the shop and the alley. read more

First time here, and loved it. Went with some friends to watch the Packer Game. This a huge space, with a large bar and numerous tables but good thing we got here early because it filled up fast. Fans were very friendly and interacting with each other, several large tv's, to ensure everyone has a good view of the game. This place is also host to a bowling alley and a banquet hall. The banquet hall can be divided into 3 smaller party rooms. The Bloody was good, I asked for it very mild and it was perfect. I also had the Thai Chili Wings with tots. The wings were plump and delicious. Once again, I forgot to get a picture before I dug in. My friend has the Kentucky Bourbon, which she liked as well. Like I said earlier, this was my first time there and the bar staff treated me warmly, like a regular. I plan on going back to try their fish fry. read more

Decided to go out to dinner last night with some friends. Two of whom have never been to your restaurant. My past experiences have been very good. My son has played sand volleyball for a few summers in leagues here. However, last night was a different experience. We sat outside on the patio, which was pleasant. I ordered a crispy chicken salad. The chicken itself was so chewy and overdone and the ranch was extremely watery. I hardly ate any of it. The service was also very slow. Being that this is our first bad experience I know that we will come back again, but I hope for a better experience next time. read more

Went there for their fish fry. I ordered the baked cod and the menu said it was baked to a golden brown with butter. When I got my order it was too spicy to eat. I had to turn it over and try and eat some of the meat that wasn't seasoned. The waitress asked if I was done and I told her it was too spicy to eat. Her answer sounded like she'd been told this before. She said the chef tells her that he uses just paprika. I highly doubt that as I use paprika at home and it isn't spicy at all. The chef must add a red pepper in there or something hot and spicy. No offer was made to replace my food. Went home hungry and will not eat there again! Fun Place with Good Food A friend of ours was having a baby shower in this area and I looked around for something interesting while the ladies had their event. Wouldn't you know it, just a couple blocks away was this hidden gem located in an industrial area. Just the name says there must be something good there so we went after her event. This is a fun place! 60 beers on tap in the sports bar area with tv's everywhere. Shuffleboard, darts and other sports arcade games, a 28 lane bowling alley, volleyball, bags and probably more. I tried a couple local area tap beers which were very good and priced fair. Wanting something to snack on, we asked our server for a recommendation. She said the Extreme Nachos, full size for $12.50 were very tasty and would be plenty for the two of us. $12.50 and large enough for two? We'll see. We ordered 1/2 chicken, 1/2 beef. Pictures say it all! This nacho platter could have served at least four people. Loaded with all the good toppings in addition to the well seasoned beef and chicken. An excellent recommendation. We saw many great looking meals come out of the kitchen and if we ever have a reason to be up in that area again, we'll stop in. Maybe even bowl a game or two. read more

Very spacious with a lot of seating, great for large or small groups. There are a lot of options available on the drink and food menus. If you're bowling. They'll even bring the food out to the lane. Service isn't terrible, but can be a little slow if busy. Overall it's a great spot to gather before or after bowling, or just to have lunch/dinner. read more

I have been playing volleyball at the New Berlin Ale House for over 10 years. We love the variety of food and willing they are to try and accommodate you on most items on the menu. Even on busy nights the servers are fast and on point and they make sure to have us all set to make our games no matter what time of the night they are. It's an inviting place and very family friendly! You can show up all dressed up for a night out or in sandals and shirts fresh off the volleyball courts! Love this place!! read more

Lots of tables, seating and huge T-shaped bar with plenty of seating around the bar, lots of TV's, perhaps not as many as say BW3 but plenty, tuned to various sports. A few dart boards, shuffle board and video poker games with a bowling alley and outdoor sand volleyball courts. An average size deck outside the bar as well. Plenty of parking, but I'm sure it is packed when summer volleyball season begins. I like that they have local craft beers and many on tab. A quick glance at their whiskey's and I counted 4 brands such as Tullamore Dew. Clean bathrooms situated between the bowling and the restaurant. Fast and friendly service. Status checks frequently but not intrusive. I've enjoyed my three visits here and will come back to try other items on their menu. read more

I've been to two different retirement parties here in 2022, and both were well-handled affairs at the New Berlin Ale House, even though the food was different at each and they were in different parts of the building. As you may have seen from some of the other reviews here, this place is giant. Between the restaurant, the bowling alley, and the event space, there is much to see here. The first event was held in an area just off the restaurant. Not private or anything, but still a decent space. The second event was in a ballroom and I accessed this from completely different entrance that I didn't know existed. This was a more formal space and fit the mood or the occasion well. Both times the food was decent, not amazing, but definitely solid, and while my staff interactions were limited, there weren't any complaints to be had there, either. I would definitely suggest this venue if someone in the area was looking for a place to hold an event. read more

The bartenders are attentive, quick, very friendly, and are excellent at anticipating your needs. It seems like there is always a drink special that I like! Large restaurant and bar! They have bowling, volleyball, and other activities to keep you busy! They have a nice patio to eat outdoors and enjoy good weather and the sun. Our waitress was nice and brought us a pitcher of water and lemona which was great so we didn't have to bother her to keep refilling our cups or lemons. I tried the peanut butter beer, I recommend it if you like peanut butter and a nice porter! It wasn't too heavy. We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday party there on Sunday. We had 48 people and they did a great job accommodating all of us. A spot was reserved for us with plenty of tables and chairs right in front of the TVs so we could watch the Packer game. The Pizza Buffett was a great value and was enjoyed by the group. They have decent food deals during the game. The pizzas were good. I was super impressed with what we thought were the game special nachos. They were quite hearty for $5. Turns out we had their regular nachos, which are double what the special was so my only complaint is that we weren't told their were two nacho options during the game. They had a space set aside for us with plenty of room. TVs are everywhere so no matter which you look, you'll know what's going on. I'd come back here again for another group gathering. We recently held a work gathering here and it went well. The venue gave us a small room (between the main bar area and bowling alley) to gather in. We ate dinner and handled our work business in the room and then spilled out into the bar area. For food, we had a pizza buffet with salad and breadsticks. The pizza was really good, especially for bar food. I'd recommend it if you are eating here. For atmosphere, the place got fairly busy (it was a Saturday night) with what appeared to be locals. There was a karaoke guy that made the night interesting, but other than that it was just a common bar scene. Drinks were normally priced for the area, with a domestic tap beer costing around $3. Bar service was good, didnt usually wait more than a minute for a new drink at the bar. With the size of the place, they probably could have waitresses attending to the outlaying bar tables. read more

This review is for the restaurant. Decided to grab a very late lunch after bowling the day after Christmas. Our group was large (8 adults, 4 kids) and we had a decent experience. We were seated right away and the waitress brought drinks. It was tougher to get her to come back and take our order. Food was pretty good. Kids really enjoyed the pretzel dippers (soft pretzel pieces with cheddar cheese over the top) and the adults loved the jalapeno bottle caps. The wings were good and everyone who ordered sandwiches and wraps was happy. The best part of the meal was the bill. Lunch for 12 people plus 6 pitchers of beer was only $150! read more

Have been frequenting the New Berlin Ale House for many years now, specifically for the volleyball leagues. We've also dined here before, and enjoyed many a beer as well. I would classify their fare as standard but a step above most bar food. They have some unique options to choose from, and make a pretty good pizza. I wouldn't recommend the Margharita pizza but the Meat Lovers is dang good. They have lots of space to sit inside and a nice patio to sit outside. The night we sat outside though, our server seemed to forget about us or might have been overworked because long long periods of time would pass. Overall, I'm glad to have a neighborhood place like this to frequent! read more

The service from Chrissy was beyond amazing! I'm on vacation with my family and Chrissy made my entire trip already. I appreciate her attentiveness and how quick she was to assist us. In a group of six she had no issues serving us, remembering our orders, and even giving us nicknames. She had been spectacular throughout this entire night. Cocktail service here is quick and made the way you order them. We had ordered 4 total orders of wings, 2 mild and 2 hot. The wings were delicious and hot. The cheese curds were also amazing. Everything came out quickly and Chrissy was more than helpful with napkins, sauces, and extra celery sticks. We appreciate Chrissy and everything she did for us. Definitely coming back on my next trip. My only recommendation is keeping children under the age of 21 out of the bar area. Especially high schoolers after their football games. I asked the waitress what some of the top sellers were between burgers and wraps. I went with her suggestion of the chicken bacon wrap with grilled chicken. Grilled chicken very dried out and over cooked. I don't think I had 1 tsp of bacon crumbled finely inside. Limp ice berg lettuce. Cold haystack onion rings which were board line regular cut onions. Monster BLT some bacon was crispy the rest was extremely undercooked. Server dropped a handful of tots off the plate onto the floor.
