This place is amazing. Not quite the selection of Wholesome Foods across the street, but I think the produce is more fresh. I'm moving out of the neighborhood at the end of the month and this will be the only thing I miss. The staff is mostly Korean and all friendly, keep the place clean, stock good organic produce. (Prices are good- the only place you're going to find cheaper produce is Key Foods, which is cheaper because it smells like literal human shit and sells rotten food. Do not shop there). I love the uncommon Korean and Japanese products they stock- you can't find this stuff anywhere else. My favorite thing is the basket of onigiri "rice balls" next to the register. Not the best onigiri, but again, you aren't going to find onigiri anywhere else in fucking Crown Heights. If you buy it fresh (check the date) it's pretty tasty, cheap, and you can eat it on the go for breakfast or dinner. Calbee Shrimp Chips must have been invented by Satan because they are too fucking good. They stock fresh Udon noodles, Korean seasoning like Gochujang and Kombu, and even makgeolli (sometimes) in the beer fridge. Beer selection is good. I particularly like the chopped vegetables they stock in the produce section. usually if you're buying pre-chopped food it's way marked up. These boxes are cheap, and make it so easy to cook a quick dinner after work or pack a lunch in the morning. They also have pre made chickpea salad, seaweed salad, kimchi, hard boiled eggs, peeled fruit. All very good if you're short on time (and if you don't eat meat). I'm laughing at the other reviews for this place that give low stars (Amanda C. and Mandy M.) I looked through these people's accounts and they are filled with outraged stories about employees being rude to them. Ran into here and they sold a variety of beers, instant ramen, international snacks and everything you'd need for a quick grab. The owner was pretty nice and seemed to greet all the others well. I came here because Wholesome foods was charging insane prices on a items I needed. After looking through, I just gave up and came here. They also have pre made meals like korean bbq with rice. Having an Asian selection of pantry items nearby is super convenient. read more

Now that I know the name of the asshole whom I encountered a few nights ago, I can comfortably make my experience known. I came in here with my son, and the asshole had the audacity to ask me if my baby belongs to me. Why would you ask someone that? I just responded "No I kidnapped him, maybe you should call 911" he never said a word to me after that. I hope that will be my final encounter with Nope (Neal). Today I came in again for a kale salad, which I didn't know you could possibly put a protein in it or dressing. Since no one offered. I recently went here yesterday and was profiled by the lady that came all the way from the register to my aisle. She proceeded to fix every item possible to the point she was knocking down the items to have something to fix. Meanwhile other people came into the store and she did not attend to them since she wanted to keep her eyes on me. I made sure to spend at least 10 minutes in the store as validation and verification that I was being profiled. I will never enter this store again in my life. read more

Let me start by saying I typically stop here at least 3 times a week on my way to work to get their Cranberry, Blue cheese and walnut salad. I always ask the person behind the deli counter to add chicken and they always do without an issue. The ladies who work during the day are always nice and helpful(not sure what their names are.) However, I decided to take a late night run last night to pick up one of the salads and encountered the reason I am giving 1 star (their employee by the name of Neal). This is not my first issue with him. I asked him for chicken with my salad last night and he put the chicken in. I then went on to ask him for the salad dressing I would like and before I could finish he insisted on cutting me off to tell me "they don't have it and how the grill for deli sandwiches was off". I was a bit perturbed because I was just asking for salad dressing. Neal usually works nights at the market and is ALWAYS rude and arrogant. My father who accompanied me began to explain to Neal that he cannot assume and talk to PAYING customers with that type of attitude. As soon as my father began to explain Neal started saying that he is " used to dealing with people like him". I was a bit confused as to what people like "him" meant, mind you we are both African American. He then proceeded to ask my dad "what is he gonna do?"...where I am from that means you want to fight. All in all, Neal is terrible he should not be working there if he has no sense of customer service, especially in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. I would urge the company to get rid of him. This was my go to spot for a quick salad for my work lunch but not anymore. I refuse to spend my money at an establishment where I am semi- discriminated against and being treated as if I was not paying for my goods. My one star goes to Neal, if I had 0 stars it would definitely go to him. read more

It bums me out that this place has so many negative reviews-- I stop by this market at least three times a week to grab something quick for dinner, and I've never had anything but a good experience. They make my lazy-girl dreams come true when I want to eat healthy but don't feel like exerting too much effort. I like their pre-made refrigerated options (especially the guacamole and chicken salads), and they have a good selection of pre-prepped vegetables. It's not cheap, but it's definitely no more expensive than any of the other natural markets in the area, but with way better quality. It's certainly one of the better markets on Nostrand. read more

Want great looking produce, vegan and vegetarian foods items, cheeses/charcuterie and beer in Bed-Stuy, this place has you covered. They have so many things that we often have had to travel for, but now they are more available in the area. Though it is very small, it's has so much items and all the employees are nice. We wish this place opened sooner! We are actually sad that we are moving out of the neighborhood now we actually have a decent grocery store. read more

If it were possible to rank with zero stars, I would. I have experienced racial profiling on more than one occasion in this store. This evening, I was making my purchases at 1:30 in the am (at a 24 hour establishment, this should not be a shock) and I was accompanied by at least 5 other young white patrons. The clerk refused to run my debit card as credit saying "it wouldn't go through" then running it as debit without my permission. The white male patron managed to conclude his business with credit and without incident. I will not be returning. Leave crown heights and your racism. read more

They moved a bunch of boxes just so I could get to the newly arrived gluten-free beer and they also told me how to more easily get to a restaurant I really want to visit in Flushing. I love this place! Extremely solid and dependable little grocery/upscale bodega with a good mix of organic food and home supplies. Their produce is always fresh. And most importantly, their prices are extremely reasonable. I've never felt gouged here. The women behind the counter are really friendly. So glad Blueberry Farm is in my neighborhood. This store is a place that I would normally frequent after work. I've gone to them as oppose to other places that are cheaper. However, when I go there as a regular customer they are always making an effort to watch me. I don't steal. I understand the need to protect your store but a CUSTOMER should NOT feel like a CRIMINAL when they have not stolen anything. Additionally, their customer service is average at best. I get more respect from the local bodega. read more
