They focus on fresh produce from local farmers and some they grow there. The decorations of impressionist painters adorn the walls giving the front dining room a warm inviting feel. When we were led to our table, I thought I was being led to the restrooms. We actually went past the restrooms down a small flight of stairs and into another large room. This beautiful back room was oozing the "hidden wine cellar" vibe throughout. There were tables and chairs in the center with smaller tables and chairs lining one wall and booths on another. Then there's a large full service bar lining the 3rd wall and a workstation on the 4th wall. The ceiling with hanging panels of wood moved the light beautifully and impressed me. The broth should be creamy as a result of all the fat, collagen, and gelatin extracted by cooking pork bones for over a long period. Mizu Ramen is none of these things. It is a thin, watery dish devoid of flavor. Either the base of the soup was not cooked long enough, or they're cheaped out on the amount of bones used. I found myself pouring soy sauce into it just to make it somewhat salty. You don't even get a shaker of furikake or some vinegar for the table! While Mizu avoids a 1 star rating on account of the fact that it's not disgusting and the service isn't bad per se, I cannot recommend it as a much better ramen chain, UMAMI, is only 7 minutes away.
