This was the worst experience we ever had ordering shrimp fried rice (overcooked pasty rice), 4 chicken wings old and refried, and two old shrimp rolls. The owner solution was to exchange my food or give me $5 off next order. There will not be a next time. In fact I'm filing a report with the department of health. I was passing through on work lunch break... I pull up and it looks all closed up,so I tried calling the number on the front and after a bunch of rings a lady answers... hard to understand so I check the number and try calling again and got the same sounding lady. Could barely understand a word they were saying, I tried saying I wanted to order but it still sounded like they were mumbling so I just said screw it and moved on. Don't have time for that. So then someone calls me from another number and asks if I called there... so then I said I was trying to place an order. I am sorry to say that I was totally dissatisfied with the food. I won't go into detail, I think the pictures are enough. The wait was definitely too long and I even agreed to the fifteen dollar increase from the online order. That was fort- seven dollars that I could have kept. Props to being open for pick up during the Quarantine- seems no other local Chinese restaurants are. They said 40 mins, it was 1 hour+, so keep that in mind. But they were very busy with pick ups, as are all takeout places. I really appreciated the smiles and 'thank you's and 'sorry for the wait', often these take out places can be brusk /impersonal. They seems happy for the business. You call when you arrive and they call you back if your order isn't quite ready. Then they have a drop off through the front door. No personal contact. The food was ok. But I'm spoiled with good cheap Chinese takeout from living downtown. I thought the szcheuan style tofu would be the fried squares not the mushy home style. And the Singapore mei fun didn't have much peppery/curryish flavor. Cheesesteak rolls were not great. The general tsos tofu was really good. 4 stars for being open and friendly. read more

Just went there recently and was very impressed. Only thing was lacking it seemed anyway was the wonton soup. However I enjoyed the beef teriyaki an appetizer and it was juicy and so chewy. It's now a new favorute of mine and combined I got two things at such an affordable price in total. Mmmm I hope to keep ordering out here more often again! read more

Working late hours and stumbled across this .... Here's a diamond in the rough..... Best Chinese food in the area... Large portions, Fresh and much to choose from..soups, fried noodles...egg rolls very tasty. Family owed friendly, helpful and proud..... And the price is right too... I'll be back... This is not one of the usual places we order from, and it was our first time trying them, but we won't be going back. The order was 2 appetizers, 2 soups,a mei fun noodle , and a combination dinner. 1 soup and 1 appetizer was ok, the rest wasn't even middle of the road, including the rice in the combo. read more

Tried them for the first time. We were not impressed. Overly salty, strange but tasteless gen tso chicken, vegetable egg roll had only cabbage in it, no dipping sauce for dumplings, overall two thumbs down. We will be sticking with cj wok. read more

Its gets 4 stars partly because I feel this place is the best Chinese food in the Lansdowne area that I've found, which isn't hard to do. The food really is good "American" Chinese food though! It's priced very fairly and the owners / employees are very nice. I don't eat meat and regularly enjoy Chow Fun ( thicker rice noodles), Mei fun (thinner rice noodles) when I want gluten free. I also like their Vege Lo Mein and Vege Moo Shu. I had Cold Noodle with Sesame Sauce for the first time anywhere and liked it. It was a huge portion and was made with peanut butter which I liked because it added protein plus flavor. It's a good deal for the price if you just want to fill up. It's almost impossible to find a good Chinese store in this area besides the upscale pricey ones. I think mission impossible is completed now. First the staff is amazing especially the lady that takes the orders which she does a great job of because at times there can be an overwhelming amount of orders called in and she handles that in a polite professional manner. Second the food is as good as the staff. My order includes wings that I asked for cooked extra hard. While waiting for my food the lady actually showed me a wing and asked did I want it cooked any more which was a nice personal display of customer service. Since my order took a little longer than the estimated wait time given which I didn't mind at all, the lady apologized and offered extra food to compensate which again is a nod to their excellent customer service. I don't care if my food takes a little longer as long as it's cooked right I'm a happy customer. After getting back home and eating everything I was very satisfied and now I have a go to spot for Chinese. The others no longer stand a chance. Food is 5 star and service is 5 star. Their motto, "Try us, you will like us" just did not ring true for me. I ordered from here for the first time since the remodel. While the food has improved marginally from the last time I tried it, the hot and sour soup most definitely fell flat. It had an unpleasant flavor to it as if the meat that was in it had been cooked the day before, left on the bone in the refrigerator, and then reheated on the bone in the microwave. I'm sure we've all committed this culinary sin before, and it never works out right. It created a most offensive flavor which permeated through the entire soup making what would could been a pretty good soup barely edible. With my soup, I had General Tso's Chicken. It was middle of the road at best. While I was pleased to see broccoli in it, which is oftimes overlooked, it just didn't take it to the extraordinary level to offset the sad soup. Wow. Someone gave this a 1 star because of pictures on a menu? Get a life. As for the food? It is fantastic. This is a new place right near my mother-in law, so I was hoping for something convenient and a cut above your regular neighborhood Chinese takeout. I found it! Wonton soup, chicken wings and veg fried rice are my favorites to order. My oldest son loves the tso chicken and dumplings and my youngest son loves the chicken noodle soup. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is bc this store is a little more expensive than any other Chinese store. However I'd definitely rand this place the best Chinese food in Lansdowne. read more
