My coworkers and i ordered from this place today. I ordered the pork lo mein and fried chicken. The fried chicken was good, not too greasy, fried hard, but not too dry. I never got to eat the pork lo mein bc they gave me pork fried rice by accident. Both were good, not too salty like some places. My coworker ordered the shrimp egg foo young and that was pretty tasty. The egg foo young pairs well with white rice because of all the gravy that it's marinating in. I wouldve given this place 4 stars, but i dropped it to 3 due to the fact that they got half of my order wrong. If i ever wanted quick chinese food again, I'd probably turn to this place. read more

Yes I am dropping my review to a 1-star. It would be zero star but Yelp doesn't have that option! From what I hear, Superhouse is under new management. I may have to agree with this becuase I don't recognize anyone behind the counter. However, this place is now the worst and you won't catch me back in there. First, let's start how they have been closed for Health code violations for at least a few days due to a number of issues and had to close on the spot... ewww.. I didn't find this out until recently but anyway. On election day I visited Superhouse for some fried wings. When I ordered the wings, I thought that she picked up the wings from the side but I saw her put what I thought was the wings in grease, but I didn't hear the grease pop, but I did when she put on the fries, so I just thought nothing of it. When I got home and ate the wings, they were down right NASTY! They were not hot for me to had just picked up the food and tasted like they had been sitting for days. Absolutely disgusting. I ordered a couple of weeks before this and I thought something was up with the chicken and that it didn't taste the same. I didn't finish it but I just didn't think nothing of it. This time when I ordered in store and saw my food being cooked, then ate it and had to spit it out, it was a total waste of money and time and they surely lost a customer. YUCK! read more

Super House was my and my family's go to spot for Chinese food. It had been a while since I had been there but expected the food to be as good as it was when I last went there. Unfortunately, that was NOT the case. Just before writing this review, I noticed that someone else who also used to be a fan of Super House said that the place had changed hands and is now under new management and I guess that explains the new price increases etc. This past weekend (Saturday, August 28,2021), I purchase 3 items from Super House; shrimp fried rice, plain egg foo young and chicken yat and the total came to $28. I wonder...did I need to pay more money to add flavor to my food? I say this because NONE of the item's purchase had any sort of flavor whatsoever, no salt, pepper, MSG or anything else, the food was totally bland. The "flavor" improved to a degree once I added the some of included soy sauce but that was the only improvement. Let me clarify, the rice in the shrimp fried rice was overcooked and instead of it being a brownish color like fried rice usually is and having a firmer texture, the rice was pale and soft. As for the shrimp, I like my shrimp tender, but there's a BIG difference between tender and overly soft, the shrimp were entirely too soft almost to the point of being mushy. Then there's the chicken yat; the noodles were overcooked and although it was supposed to be chicken yat there were more BIG pieces of green bell peppers then there were pieces of chicken!!! Last but not least, the egg foo young was also bland as hell too! I will admit that the gravy that came with the egg foo young was good. Sadly, the gravy was the ONLY thing that did have flavor. As stated earlier I spent a total of $28 for just 3 items and if the food had been good I wouldn't have had a problem with the cost, however, in this instance I feel like I was cheated. I paid $28 for crappy food and didn't even get a free soda!!! I know for a fact that for the amount of money I spent at Super House for those 3 items, I could have gone to Jin House, spent that same amount of money and gotten more food AND a free 2 liter soda!!! It's bad enough Super House prices have gone up ridiculously high and they have the audacity to put on the menu that they include taxes in the food prices but to increase the cost when the quality of the food has gone down is completely unacceptable!!! I personally can't speak for anyone else but in my opinion the days of Super House being one of the best places to buy Chinese is over. They seem to be more about money than serving quality food to paying customers. Frankly, I don't believe in paying good money for bad product and therefore, I will NOT be going back to Super House to purchase anymore Chinese food in the future and I won't be recommending them to anyone else. Final words, if you're looking for top-notch Chinese food avoid Super House because they're NOT super anymore. read more

Good prices, best in west Philly. They don't stay open extra late like others and they open later also. Wings are great. read more

4 wings, shrimp fried rice, homemade lemonade and could you please add some ice? and poke a hole in the top... he he he. without question, one of the best take-out Chinese food spots in the city. People come here from miles around (myself included) the same way they go for hoagies at Major Wing Lee's. The food is comparatively low-priced, served fast and always good. The ingredients are always fresh and, as a result, the phones are always ringing and you will see people "parking" on the corner and running in to grab their food just about every 4 minutes. Their fried rice is outstanding (all of it, from pork to veggies), the hunan beef is out of this world (best part is when you say no broccoli they don't load you up on a ton of veggies, they just give you the meat, peppers and onions), and their fried chicken (wings, etc.) is delicious (i'm pretty sure they use peanut oil, which is pretty rare in these days of major allergies). They have a wide assortment of bottled and canned drinks, but I think they're kind of overpriced (There's a corner store one block over where you can get something cheaper.)
