Walked in there with a really strong oil smell. The shrimp fried rice was bland. The fried chicken was overcooked, dried and tasteless. It seems like it was preboiled before frying. I will not be coming back. Everything was just bland and for the first time, I just threw everything out. read more

Live in the neighborhood so this is my backyard go to Chinese. Seems consistent, I order when I get there and watch them make it. Definitely not fresh ingredients but freshly cooked and tasty. Love their hot and sour soup! Lunch specials are budget priced and a value. Seems consistent and quick. Great takeout American Chinese place. Their quality, while not sang kee, is better than most. Food is consistently good. They always have it ready in 10-15 min. Excellent beef broccoli, mu shu, and moo goo gai pan. I wish they had chow fun on their menu, but other than that, no complaints! We are thankful for such a great go-to place within a few minutes of our house for those days you don't feel like cooking. Maybe eventually they'll have a Chinese menu? One can dream! read more

There's a lot to be said about a Chinese take out restaurant that offers consistently good food - Great Wall is one of those restaurants. My family and I have been coming here for years and more recently, I made the trek all the way from Folsom to Great Wall just because I like it that much. The food is reasonably priced (plus includes a list of $5 lunch specials), is presented in generous portions, and is packed with all the good stuff (unlike some other places that give you 90% veggies/rice/other fillers and 10% questionable meats). My favorite here is the shrimp lo mein and the moo shu pork (holy good plum sauce). The owners here are fantastic and courteous. Keep up the good work! read more

Usually go here because my order is always ready in 10 minutes. So basically I can place the order and jump in the car and my food is ready to go. The food is OK but it's the price and speed of service that wins me over. I usually go with the Sweet & Sour Chicken w/ Pork Fried Rice. Just make sure if you want brown rice that you check to make sure it's really brown rice and not white rice cooked in something to make it look brown. Irritating to get all the home and find out that these people can't just be up front and say that they don't have brown rice. There's no reason to pawn off crap for gold. Got two takeout combination meals from Great Wall today. One was egg foo young, the other chicken and broccoli. The chicken and broccoli was fine, the vegetable was nicely cooked and this was overall an average meal. The egg foo young was bland, the sauce was poor. Both dishes came with fried rice, which was totally flavorless; it was not seasoned at all. The egg rolls were pre-packaged and had little flavor. Came here once before and I enjoyed their shrimp & broccoli. Decided to return today for their lunch special. Was highly disappointed. Noticed one of the cooks in the back sneezing and blowing/picking at her nose. I watched to see if she would wash her hands and she did not. She proceeded to keep working. I told her she needed to wash her hands. She did so, but the fact that I had to tell her to do so, caused them to lose a customer. The shrimps were also not fresh at all this time around. Very mushy. i dont understand all the 5 star ratings ..... i went here over the summer and it wasnt anything to write home about. very average, and a little unnerving that the place had no air conditioning and it was one of those over 100 degree days in july. people sweating in or around my food ? no thanks. honestly, if you're looking for baller chinese food, hit up asuka on west chester pike on the outskirts of west chester. best chinese/japanese EVER -- check them out on yelp, not one bad review. their food is bomb. read more
