Great food and kudos to the clean restaurant take out is cheaper than dashing Pad Thai is outstanding

I used to go to the Chinese joint in Kingston, after being treated like a nuisance I decided that I was done giving them ANY of my money and found New China. I've had the food delivered and also ordered for pick up and every time my order has been hot, fresh and delicious. Delivery when available is good, food still hot when it arrives. Just spotty as to when delivery is actually available. Pickup is about what you would expect, quick and correct just like my order. I rotate my basic orders with them being, Peking ravioli, crab rangoons, house special fried rice, pork wonton soup, Mongolian beef and sweet and sour pork. It's all solid and fresh. Cat Piss smell inside restaurant confirmed. Terrible food confirmed. Should have read the reviews first!!!!! The wings were inedible. The fry oil should have been changed 2 years ago. I have nothing good to say about this place. read more

You know how sometimes you're on a trip, dining out often, and you don't always stick to your normal fruits and vegetable intake? That's where I was Friday night. At like 8:30pm. Walking and slightly hungry, my selection was either the salad bar at the Brazilian steakhouse (I don't have a good track record with this) or the Chinese restaurant. I opted for New China. Even though it took a bit longer than is typical of these restaurants, it was served piping hot! Laowai's don't usually use chopsticks around these parts as they are kept somewhere in the back. Picked up a door dash here. As soon as I walked in I was overwhelmed by the smell of cat urine. This is not some kind of Chinese restaurant cat Joe. I'm serious it was nauseating. The order wasn't quite ready so I said I'd wait outside. I don't know how the food is, I know they've switched owners numerous times over the last five years, but it was bad. read more

First passthrough here and while it's good, it's nothing special. The menu photos here are incorrect as the owners have changed, a fact that caused an adventure of ordering. The Peking ravioli dough is far too thick while the meat portion is severely inadequate and under-seasoned. The Scezchaun chicken was good but don't have any kind of lunch to it, albeit a nice heat at back of throat. The crab Rangoon are pretty solid. The staff was friendly, the business clean, and ready on time so not out of the picture but not my go-to spot either. read more

We got delivery and the service it was pretty normal speed for delivery. The food was not good, the meat to vegetables ratio was unbalanced, the sweet and sour chicken leaves this weird taste. It was simply okay. read more

This place does not look like much from the outside (or the inside for that matter) but I decided to give it a shot as the pickings in the area are slim these days as Sun Dynasty has gone downhill. I got an all day special of chicken fingers, boneless rib, egg roll and fried rice. It took about 10 minutes which is a good sign that things are prepared fresh. Food was hot and not greasy. Egg roll is one of the better ones. Boneless ribs were tasty and free of gristle. Rice was the typical dark fried rice. Pork was a little lacking so not the highlight. The food was terrible, egg rolls were so dry and old they were trash. Asked for xtra spicy chicken and it was not spicy at all. Lo mein had an off smell to it. Basically spent 70.00 and only a couple of items could be eaten. read more

There's something unique about New England Chinese food. It has a dark heavy feel that is built to get you through a rough winter. This is a perfectly serviceable version of it. Don't expect friendly service from the lady at the front counter read more

This mostly take out place has much to be happy with, but some things that were disappointing. I had the best scallion pancake; big, crispy and delicious. Unfortunately it came with dipping sauce for potstickers instead of hoison. The wonton soup was a little bland but full of veggies and wontons. The hot and sour soup was flavorful but no veggies. My orange chicken was good but did not come with rice. I did, for some strange reason, get two rolls but no noodles for the soup. You can park right next to the restaurant but it's marked tenant parking which was confusing. The portion size was good. Prices were ok, but remember no rice. The closest thing to Chinese cuisine about the food is it was cooked in a wok. Serious this is American food cooked in a wok, I've lived and worked in many parts of Asia, and it misses on all levels. Here's a pro-tip for the owners, stop sanitizing one of the worlds unique and delicious cuisines, get a Cantonese chef who knows what they are doing, get authentic, and I'll guarantee you will have lines out the door as the locals discover what true Chinese food is about. read more

Fantastic Chinese food. Great wait service, Fei,, our waiter was a 5 star professional.

We went here last week. We got a double order of General Gau's chicken, one fried well done with no spicy spices and one extra spicy. They nailed both orders perfectly. The Fried Rice was good too. It's so hard to find a Chinese Restaurant where you ask them to fry something well done and remove the spices and they do it. We'll definitely be visiting New China Restaurant in the future again. read more

Ordered here for a couple years. Decent cheap Chinese chow. Nice service. Until the last time I ordered. Two of the three very common dishes were disgusting looking and inedible. Both, $12 dishes, were smothered in a congealed, nasty starchy brown-grey jello. Trying to reheat it to melt it was not successful. Gag. I called the owner praised the one good dish and very kindly explained the isseues with the other two dishes. I did not request compensation. Because the owner torqued off about how I was ignorant about how these dishes are prepared. It was quite laughable. And I good naturally explained I lived in NYC for 12 years and ordered these dishes countless times. I am not ignorant regarding these dishes. The owner hung up on me. Wow! read more
