There were 2 birthday parties in the house and drinks were flowing from the bar; beer & martinis appeared as fan faves. Old style salad bar that was packed with yummy salads like; pasta, potato, Napa, and slaw. Boiled eggs would have made it chef's kiss, speaking to my 70-80's child heart. We all have the prime rib. Beer is bottle only but you can get a chilled mug. I ended with a price of banana cream pie "to go" that I had for breakfast. The cream to filling ratio was not even, I would have expected more banana cream filling. Overall glad we gave it a try.

The Food Breakdown: Chili Chicken: I was expecting an authentic, fiery Indian chili chicken. Instead, while there was a decent amount of chicken, it was mostly loaded with peppers and onions and tasted much more like a Chinese-style sweet and sour chicken. As far as heat goes? It had about as much kick as a fake fireplace. Garlic Naan & Sides: The garlic naan was actually the best part of my meal--fresh and full of flavor! Unfortunately, naan doesn't pair great with sweet and sour sauce. To make matters worse, unlike other entrees on the menu that came with rice, mine came out completely on its own ("in its birthday suit"). The Price & Verdict: For the quality and execution of what I received, it felt pretty overpriced. The naan was around $6 and the entree was a shade over $20. While others at the table had better luck, if you're looking for deep Indian flavor profiles or real heat, you might be disappointed.

What I got was a chicken leg quarter that had been deep-fried, apparently after it had been baked. Extremely dry and basically inedible. No seasoning at all. A little pile of what looked like mashed potatoes, and some other thing that I couldn't identify. They did bring some sort of good fried whatsits before we started eating as a gift. My son had shrimp but they were overcooked and not very good. We came away wondering what it should've been like. Staff was extremely nice. The restaurant itself was extremely clean. But they may need to brush up with their cooking skills.

The pistachio cranberry bread was inspirational--a couple of people said they were going to try to make it. The melted chocolate truffle was amazing, as always. My very favorite was the white chocolate mousse--the dot of raspberry sauce was delightful. The mousse was light and airy but also rich and decadent--and my last bite had a white chocolate chip.
