Country Benedict, Two egg breakfast w/bacon, eggs and grits
    scott c.

New place, must try. Open only for breakfast and lunch till 2pm. Food was very fresh, coffee was very tasty. Service was very good. It is actually larger inside than I thought from the outside. Country Benedict was very tasty. Grits, eggs and bacon my wife said was very fresh and obviously not just sitting in a warmer to be pulled out. I suggest you give it a try. We will definitely be back.

Outstanding breakfast option for an area that doesn't have many. Service was timely and friendly.

We had a window seat looking right to the mountains. Great view! They have shades that come down as the sun starts to set. Is the decor "upscale", no. It's very nice but it's a hotel restaurant that serves breakfast too. So it can't be the decor of high end restaurants around town, but it is still nice. The killer views easily make up for that. They also have west facing outdoor seating..that will be nice in the summer! I just don't eat as much as I used to so my wife and I decided to split the Caesar salad and split the chicken pot pie. I assumed they would bring the one salad and two plates for us to do the splitting.....but no! They brought out the salads already split and ready to go. They did the same for the pot pie with each serving topped with a biscuit for the pot pie part. It was also nice that they didn't add a split plate fe The salads were good we both thought the pot pie was good and of course the half price wine was nice. The wine list is not extensive but some decent choices gruner (white) wine. I can't complain about the service, our service was friendly and attentive. I'm just a tough critic and while some folks gave 5 stars I'm at 4.

We made the reservation specifically to celebrate a special occasion, yet neither the hostess nor our waiter (Brayden) even acknowledged it. When we mentioned it ourselves, the only gesture was one measly glass of cheap champagne for a table of four. The dress code was a joke. OpenTable lists it as Business Casual, but we saw the hostess in sweatpants and Chuck Taylors, a server in what looked like physical training gear and Crocs, plus plenty of T-shirts, shorts, and open-toed shoes. Perhaps they should take their meals outside. Only the north section was seated during our visit, directly in the blinding sunset from 6-7pm. The only logical reason to keep it open seems to be avoiding cleaning it at close. Both surf & turf steaks arrived undercooked, and everything was wildly overpriced. Finally, Brayden--we could already tell your preference; the rainbow coordinating pens weren't necessary. Will never return. Damn food made all us gassy as hell.

On arrival she received a birthday card signed by staff which was such a cute gesture. As for food , most was great, not all. French onion soup was fantastic! I appreciated the authenticity with correct cheese . Very flavorful and rich. Steak was well seasoned and cooked well, a bit over done but due to delicate cut , it melted in my mouth. It was delicious. The horseradish sauce would be great if there wasn't ( what I think that was) blue cheese. I happen to dislike the blue cheese. Luckily it wasn't too overpowering. AuGratin potatoes were a miss for me . Wrong texture. They were more like mushy, baked mashed potatoes rather than potatoes sliced thinly . Flavor was ok but I disliked the texture . As for Cesar salad, unfortunately, the lettuce was not crisp and fresh . It was wilted and soggy. Desert ( complementary for birthday) was pretty tasty. Even though food wasn't exactly perfect for us, the whole experience was very pleasant and satisfying. We would return for more .

The service was also fantastic. We went for my belated birthday since I've been out of town all month and they even write you a card! It was very nice. They lose a star at the food only because our salad was slight wilted. I just feel as though places should take things off their menu if the produce is bad. Other than that, it was great. Caesar Salad: Wilted lettuce but had good flavor and good bites with the lettuce that wasn't turning bad. 6/10 French Onion soup: So tasty! I love that they don't cheap out on the cheese, it really was gruyère. The broth was really tasty too, a little italian season heavy but i honestly enjoyed that. 9/10 "Au Gratin" Potatoes: I think my party and I expected it to be a more traditional au gratin with sliced potatoes, it was more of a really lumpy mash. It also had some kind of gorgonzola or something, we don't hate that flavor profile but they should disclose that on the menu haha 3/10 (only because we wanted a classic au gratin) 8 oz filet: Cooked well, great sear! Again there was blue cheese or something in the side sauce which i didn't order but got charged for lol. It was only $5 and i don't mind blue cheese but disclose that on the menu!!!! Butter Cake: This is there the rating goes to 4.5 because it was free for my birthday! Never had butter cake before and I will say it's not my favorite(they did it really well though). The vanilla ice cream and blueberry compote were the highlight. It was still a tasty dessert. 8/10 It's a nice place to have dinner and watch the sunset if you have a reservation around that time!
