We were pleasantly surprised - even better than we expected! Fun atmosphere. Had to wait a bit-it's a popular place! Our server was great. Enjoyed the coffee to start. My husband a steak and eggs and he loved it! I had an omelette with bacon and cheese. Oh my husband had sourdough toast and I had an English muffin. Our friends loved their meal too-they had really good salads. Will be back!

The location is conveniently located off Filmore and the building has a nice relaxed vibe. Wait staff were attentive but not intrusive. I ordered a cadet omelette and found it a little bland. I ordered yoghurt instead of breakfast potatoes and there was a generous size portion delivered with the omelette. The meal also included a whole wheat muffin which was delivered pre-buttered with about the right amount of butter in my opinion! Overall good value for money and I may try again in future, perhaps I just tried the wrong omelette.

Absolutely the best breakfast in the Springs. The food is great and the staff is amazing.

Dude. You have to go to OP. The omelettes are so good! The potatoes are so yum, I'd go just for those! And very plentiful. They have a ton of options besides omelettes. It gets busy so go early. I highly recommend, can't wait to go back!

A great place for breakfast at a reasonable price. Especially if you come before 7 AM when omelettes are half price! The restaurant is an old house repurposed into a restaurant and bar. It is full of cool, historical memorabilia - pictures of 18 to 1900 Colorado Springs. The servers are friendly, and there are many regulars, like us.

One of the best local breakfast and brunch places in Colorado Springs. So many options and everything is made from scratch. Personal favorites are the French toast and Ruben sandwiches.

Huge portions and delicious food! It was quick, inexpensive and better than any other breakfast place we've tried in the springs!

Garden omelet?

I been meaning to try this place for a while, every time I drive home from work I see that the place is packed. A friend came to visit a couple of weeks ago and we decided to go there for breakfast. The place is very cute and old school looking, my favorite part was and area with a bunch of potted plants under a skylight. We got a very pleasant lady for our server (can't remember her name as I'm terrible with names) she was very nice and efficient at her job. As far as the food goes, it was a very American breakfast kind of place. They serve a lot of food (I couldn't even finish it, which is rare). I had the garden omelet, I believe it was called. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the best I've had. I did enjoy the potato's that come with the omelet.

CC's combo with Belgian waffle, banana nut French toast, and pancake.

If I could give more stars I would. From the service to the food - everything about this place was top notch! Our hostess greeted us upon entering with warmth and not only offered us a booster seat for our baby, but if we wanted one with straps - it's usually a crapshoot with baby seating so this was such a wonderful surprise. The place has such a comfy old atmosphere - like you're at your grandparent's. Next, our server Rachelle was phenomenal, never made us wait, great conversation, such a nice person. She took such good care of us. Now the food - holy moley. We got three CC's combos, one with a Belgian waffle, one with the banana bread French toast, and one with a pancake - just to sample everything. The bacon and sausage are thick cuts, the eggs were done to our liking. Those carbs - couldn't finish. Everything tasted wonderful and filled us to the brim. This was our last stop for our stay in Colorado Springs, but this experience will make this a permanent stop every time we come into town.

Absolutely adore having breakfast here. It's cute, quaint and tasty! While this place is busy, it moves quickly and is worth the little bit of wait you'll have to wait. The food is fantastic and the portions are big! I can't ever finish my food when I come. I'll let you decide if giant portions are a good thing lol. My only complaint is the odd choice of cup they serve their tea in.

What a cute place this is! I came here for brunch with some friends after hiking at the Garden of the Gods. The interior design of the place is a mix of a diner-feel with cozy home vibes. The servers here are in a good mood and answer any questions that you need! The taste of the food is nothing extraordinary, but sometimes you just want something that reminds you of a home-cooked meal. The home fries were also pretty different than what I've eaten before! I would say that there will probably be a wait if you come for brunch on the weekend (I think we waited 15-20 minutes) but there is a good amount of parking outside!

Best breakfast in Colorado Springs! Large portions, tasty, and good value for money. Just love their French Toast. Fast service too.

I tried the cold brew and it was stellar. The service was friendly as well. For food, I ordered the Cuban sandwich. It came out after about 10 minutes and it was HUGE. You order at the counter and then get a number to put at your table. There is a lot of seating, but I can imagine it fills up quickly on busy days. I ordered an Iced Vanilla Latte, which was ready very quickly. It was perfect. Our food took a very long time to arrive. I appreciate that the staff kept me updated that our order was still being worked on, but it took almost 50 minutes for our two items to arrive. They did offer us a coupon to use in the future for the trouble. We ordered the falafel and the chicken tenders. The falafel was very good, but I wish it came with more pita. This was a great lunch that filled me up without being too heavy. The chicken tenders were not great, and the chicken basically slid out of the breading as soon as my husband took a bite. I really liked the vibes of this spot, and even though there was a long wait, I appreciated the kindness of the staff when updating me about my order. We would not order the chicken tenders again, but I would love to try other things on the menu.

Our last two visits here have been disappointing. I thought last time may have been an isolated…read moreincident or new cook, so we tried it again today. Another let down. This has been put on our no list now. When we ordered today, my son asked about Caesar salad and the woman at the counter did not say that they didn't have them. Then when they brought the food out, she said it's not an option. Why not say it when we ordered. Last time my bowl was missing the goat cheese, and I had to ask for it. I also added chicken and mushrooms to my bowl and I literally received about 5-6 mushrooms, which equals more than a dollar a mushroom. This time, my side salad was supposed to have balsamic and had another dressing. My son had the burger and said that the consistency was weird. My other son had the same sandwich he always has and the bread was different, though the menu didn't indicate that it was.

You walk in & you should review the menu prior & pay up front, and then your menu selections will be delivered to your table. It's a beautiful set up, it reminds me of a greenhouse there's large wooden tables, & smaller black tables in a glass encased area with several hanging plants. There are also many table/booth combinations inside. We ordered: Hobo sandwich with seasoned cubed potatoes Slice of quiche Side of season potatoes Beet salad (added grilled chicken) An iced tea Spicy chai Total was close to $80 average for brunch definitely not terrible once you see the quality of what comes out of the kitchen. Tasting it all was amazing - flavorful, thoughtfully prepared & great attention to detail including sourcing great ingredients and using the correct spices! I cannot wait to come back and try something else!

Drinks are going to be drinking, Not that I've gotten that out of the way... I've always heard such great things about Bird Tree Cafe. And I hadn't gone until yesterday! Figured I'd go before the farmers market across the street in Acacia Park. I got the bookworm latte and it was so good. I was worried it would be too sweet (it was a little sweet), but the brown sugar cinnamon syrup they make really balanced it out. It was so good. It was creamy, dreamy, and the caramel was decadent. I didn't get any food--just the coffee unfortunately, but I do plan on coming back! $7.25 (I think) for a latte is a bit pricey, but the drink is really good. So if you're gonna spend a bit extra, go there for a coffee instead of Starbucks. Service was quick for a long line and the hanging plants and lights made for such a great vibe.
