Shrimp lo mein Plain lo mein Shrimp w broccoli in garlic sauce Sweet & sour chicken

Shamelessly order from here at LEAST once a week. Best Chinese in the area. We always do takeout and it's never disappointed. Highly recommend the shrimp with broccoli in garlic sauce. The shrimp are massive. Put it over white rice & BAM My husbands favorite is the shrimp lo mein. Kids favorite is sweet & sour chicken with pork fried rice and the shrimp egg rolls. They do not skimp on flavor or portions. Fairly priced. Can't go wrong here!

One of the handful of places my family ordered from as a kid. Always had really good food..and for the most part was a treat when my mom would drive out to get it. This may sound funny but one of the things that was really unique about this place back in the day...was the Chinese fried noodles. You know those crunchy hard ones? They were one of the first to make em in the "other" style. Where they are more thicker and taste different...when I was 12 or so back in 95, my family was at first scared to eat them....thinking they were pork rinds lmao...it seems so funny now as an adult because I have probably ate pork rinds more time than I can count(thanks to the Atkins craze of early 2000s)...but as a kid they were a very foreign snack in my house! Anyways back to those fried noodles... I eventually was the guinnee pig and tried them once in the car as my mom drove my little brother and i home. They're not pork rinds! I remember shouting..They're just home made fried noodles! And before I could reach my little chubby fingers back in the hot bag..my mom snatched it from me... I should have lied and said they were pork rinds, because from that may moment on. Whenever we ordered food from here, we would all fight over the of fried noodles. Fast forward to me as an adult..I have ordered here countless times in the last 6 years. Mainly because I used to live closer by. Its for sure one of the better places. Their soups are really good . i suggest their vegetable with bean cake..a great soup for vegetarians or if you are trying g to lose weight. Or if you just want to try something different. Other must tries... Their eggplant with chicken and garlic sauce...So good! a little on the sweet side..so I like to pair with a savory dish. Hot n spicy beef is a great choice... You can tell they use quality beef too...and it does have a kick.. Most other places hot n spicy beef don't.

Delicious food for takeout. The price is reasonable and the food is plentiful. The service is friendly and speedy.

I got the sweet and sour chicken and the shrimp lo mein. Both were really good. The meals are big and could be split between two people.

The spot has that old-school Chinese takeout vibe: simple, clean, and focused on flavor, not flash. --- What I Ordered: General Tso's Chicken Shrimp Lo Mein Crab Rangoons Egg Roll Steamed Dumplings --- General Tso's Chicken: Sweet, spicy, and crispy - exactly how it should be. The sauce had a good kick without overpowering the flavor. Chicken was tender inside with that golden crunch. Easily one of the best in the area. Shrimp Lo Mein: Noodles were cooked just right - not too greasy, not too dry. Shrimp was fresh and had good bite. Could use a little more garlic or soy for depth, but still solid. Crab Rangoons: Creamy, crunchy, and packed with flavor. These were a hit. You get that satisfying crunch with the creamy crab filling - not overly sweet like some spots do. Steamed Dumplings: Soft and juicy with a flavorful pork filling. Dipping sauce was on point. Not doughy, just right. Egg Roll: Golden and crispy with a nice balance of cabbage and pork inside. Great with the duck sauce. --- Pros: Big portions, great value Fast service Hits all the nostalgic Chinese takeout cravings Clean and well-packaged Cons: Lo mein could use a little more flavor Limited seating (best for takeout) --- Final Verdict (8.9/10): New Number One Chinese Restaurant is bringing the heat. Classic Chinese-American dishes done right. If you're craving comfort food that hits every time, this place delivers - literally and figuratively. Perfect for a late-night boss fight meal or chilling after a long grind. Let me know what YOU always order from your local Chinese spot - and drop your suggestions for the next food battle

It was dimly lit by design and had a really cool atmosphere. There were fairy lights, small lamps, and quiet instrumental music playing in the background. It sounded very similar to the soundtrack of Hyrule Field in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The food was tasty and very authentic! Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about celiac disease and cross contamination. Everything on their menu is clearly marked if it's spicy and/or can be made gluten free, too! They have a big selection, and if my family's meals were anything to go by, everything is great. If I lived anywhere close to here, I would be a regular. Here are pictures of some (not all) of their menu pages.

Both qualities that I tend to like as long as a restaurant is clean... and Chen's was. The food was decent but nothing special. The garlic sauce didn't taste like garlic... More like brown sugar really. The sweet and sour wasn't great either. To be fair, the friends that we went with loved their dinners. The killer was the rude server. We had barely finished eating and weren't planning to linger but apparently finishing our drinks and chatting for five minutes was a bit too much for him. He told us that there were customers waiting and that we had to leave. I might note that there were a few empty tables at that time but even if there weren't that poor behavior was uncalled for. We won't be going back to Chen's.

While visiting on a cool night, the Dan Dan Noodles sounded really appealing to me, and they did not disappoint! The bowl was a large portion with a good amount of noodles and tender, juicy ground pork. The broth was hot and spicy, but also flavorful...the heat was not too overpowering for me. I was very happy with my meal, but also happy to taste some other items we got to share. Edamame always seems like a good way to start a meal...these were overly salted for my liking. The scallion pancake was okay...a little small with just four thin pieces. More successful were the namesake dumplings. I really liked their versions of Xaio Long Bao - both the original pork and shrimp varieties contained delicious broth and fillings. We also shared the pork and chive dumplings, beef dumplings, and pork and corn dumplings...and we would order all of them again! The orange chicken was also an enjoyable dish to share, and good way to add some variety to the plethora of dumplings. I'm sure they get a lot of young customers from RIT and UofR, and the music catered more to this audience - it was a bit loud for my preference. But, service was very good and it is a fun casual environment to enjoy some good, reasonably priced chow with friends!
