Came by for dinner on a Sunday night as we were visiting the area. Glad we did, the food was delicious! Although, if you're looking for service, it won't be here. We ordered the chicken lomein(so flavourful) & garlic tofu(perfect crispiness) with steamed rice. Portion was a good size, we were perfectly full leaving the restaurant. I was visiting family when in town for work, and had eaten at the location in Perinton years ago. Decided that I wanted to come back and try their location closer to downtown Rochester. Street parking is available, no charge for that. We encountered construction so we had to drive around for a bit but it was worth it. Seated immediately one arriving, we went with a couple appetizers- my personal favorite, the scallion pancake and the steamed bao with BBQ pork belly inside. That comes two to an order so it worked out nicely. Both were exceptional. The scallion pancake is like no other. Extra crispy, incredibly flavorful- and I love their dipping sauce. Vinegary, sweet and sour. The buns were pillowy soft and the pork belly was tender and full of that smoky BBQ taste. For entrees, we chose the Kung Pow Shrimp and the Singapore style curry noodles that came with shrimp, bbq pork, and beef. Both dishes were plentiful. The shrink was definitely spicy, you can see with all of the red chilies in the sauce, with the peanuts and celery pieces cut on the bias for a classy look. The portion on the Singapore noodles was very hefty...we upgraded our rice to fried rice so we had a lot of food today. All in all, this was an enjoyable visit. This is absolutely the best vegan Chinese food I've had in Rochester. The menu has an entire vegetarian section., most of which is vegan or can be made vegan. One of my favorite Chinese dishEdnais tofu with black bean sauce and this is the best I've ever had. A lot of restaurants do tofu. No one does it as good as this. I've ordered it three times now and it's consistently good. Other favorites are braised shiitake mushroom bun, vegetable dumplings, spring rolls and braised tofu. Their menu is expansive and includes offerings for every taste. The service is pleasant and efficient and prices are reasonable. Highly recommend. read more

PROS: The food! Everything is delicious--noodles, dumplings, Thai, Chinese, stir fry, vegan, seafood--all of it. I've both dined in and done pickup. Portions are excellent and prices are reasonable for the area. The restaurant is cute and stylish and the open kitchen is a nice touch. CONS: The notification system for pickups is just plain wrong. We were informed our order was ready five minutes before we arrived and then waited another ten minutes upon arrival. I suspect that I know what this is all about: the moral scourge that is DoorDash. Giving early (and inaccurate) pickup times means that the drivers are there before the food is ready and it therefore doesn't get cold and inspire customer complaints. What it does do is create a waiting mass at the front of the store that then causes the kitchen to rush and--forget your lo mein order. So bummer that. You owe me five bucks, Han. I'm a forgiving sort, so we'll likely be back at some point in future visits to Rochester. read more

Ordered pan fried veggie dumplings, Crab Rangoons, mushroom buns, beef buns, beef and rice plate and the garlic noodles with mushrooms and added vegetables. I feel the noodles were too oily and the beef rice plate easy to my liking (flavor of beef). The mushroom buns had too much sauce. The beef buns were tasty. This is the best Thai food I have had in Rochester, but would not have known to come here if I were just driving by. My parents told me about it. The taste is so authentic and the flavors are perfect. They also complete your order very fast and accurately. I had the pad Thai with tofu and for a moment I was unsure if the tofu was really tofu due to the way it looked. It was definitely tofu and was prepared perfectly! During my next visit to Rochester, I will be stopping here for sure. I highly recommend you try this. Coming into Han Noodle Bar, I was initially impressed by the decor of the restaurant and the way I could see the kitchen from the front door of the restaurant. I got the xo seafood stir fry noodle while my wife got the beef brisket soup noodle and we were both very happy and blown away at the quality of the ingredients used. My dish came with squid and shrimp that were cooked to perfection, while my wife's brisket was soft and tender. The chili sauce was also quite delicious and helped to elevate the dishes. Food.. depending on what you get can be absolutely stellar or a meh.. also what restaurant is closed on a Wednesday? Our server was pleasant and efficient. The Crab Rangoon was fried hard.. it finally grew on me amd they sweet chili sauce was tasty. The Dan Dan Noodles were presented beautifully and everything was hot and fresh. They had a numbing sensation, which might have come from spice. I also got the hot and sour soup, and again, it was a little sour, but not as umami as other hot and sour soups I've had. And it wasn't spicy, which was unusual. My fiancée got sesame chicken, which was good! And crab rangoons which were also pretty good! The egg fried rice that came with the chicken was lacking seasoning. The steamed buns he got were also good! Really nice new location, lots of seating and quick service. Great tofu options for vegetarians as well! We got the curry tofu and the Chinese eggplant with tofu in bean curd sauce. I really wanted to like this place, but I was very underwhelmed by their pho. The pho was just fine. The broth wasn't flavorful, and as others mentioned, the noodle size and texture was a bit off. I ended up dumping all of the sauce they gave me into it and still needed to add my own sriracha to make it detectably spicy. They did do well with my allergies, thankfully. I ordered to go, but the ambience was pretty busy and people seemed to be having a good time. In all, I wasn't too impressed, but maybe I got the wrong thing. Han has moved to a more commodious space down Monroe. We usually do take-out but tonight we decided to dine-in. There are tables downstairs opposite the open kitchen and an entire dining room upstairs. Four of us sat upstairs on a Friday evening. They do not take reservations, but we were seated immediately. The service was excellent and we were served promptly after we ordered. There is limited parking on the side of the building and along the side street as well as Monroe Avenue. We ordered steamed and fried dumplings. Both were excellently cooked. A special was a deep fried and spicy Sea Bass. It is enough for two. The sauce was essentially a spicy sweet and sour. The Dan Dan Noodles were so fresh and cooked perfectly (yum). I like extra spicy and it delivered. There was a shrimp special that night as well, we ate every bite. Singapore Mei Fun rounded out our meal. Han is BYOB. read more

As an out of towner, I will say if I lived here, I'd be here weekly. From what i understand this is a newer larger location for these guys, and that's a good thing - more people can sit and enjoy the amazing food. We tried the dumplings, steamed buns and various entrees - and everything was fantastic. And to round out the experience, service was friendly and very accommodating (family member with sesame allergy) - and the food came out really quick. Fun vibe and relaxed casual setting. Finally visited on a blustery day, it was cold, I asked the server if the apparatus above us was a heater and she seemed confused. Ordered the squid bokchoy, it was really tender. The broth was not hot enough to cook the steak, a big no no. They did not have the Huy Fong sriracha sauce which is another no no. Their sriracha sauce was more of a Korean hot sauce and literally made the pho broth much worse. The MaPo tofu with pork was just spicy and lacked flavor. The Szechuan chicken was too salty and numbed my taste buds. The hot and sour soup and pork lo mein were pretty good. I I love the decor.. the Chinese lucky cats placed everywhere. You can get some insta-able pictures with this ambience. I have tried out a variety of items in the menu, I really liked the steam buns, spring rolls, stir fry noodles.. I didn't enjoy the broth noodles as much.
