The friendly staff are helpful and can point you in the right direction for what you need. There's an information desk to the left when you walk in and you can usually ask questions there, if there's no one there the cashiers can help. They do so many different things that I didn't know about - they rent power tools and it's super affordable (I rented a sander for 4 hrs for $10), they repair screen doors, they have garden supplies...the list goes on. I finally got around to getting Rhodie license plates for our car. I went to Ace to try and find out which screws I would need to put the front plate on. When I arrived the very nice older gentleman asked how he could help me. I told him and he said that he wanted to come out to the lot and look at my car. He went back in and grabbed a couple of screws along with a screw driver. He took my plate from me and started screwing the plate in for me. When he was done he said, tell the lady at the register that you owe her $.50. When I went to the register I told her that I owed her $5. After she had rung me up and I signed the receipt I told her to give that guy the $5 as it was only supposed to be $.50. She said that she would do that immediately! What a great group of people. You would never see anything like that at Home Depot!

I tried to use a gift card I received for Christmas, went through self checkout, the card didn't go through, the lady there was nice but didn't know how to use the card said she didn't think that type of gift card worked, do I have another form of payment so I went to customer service to see if I could get assistance. I've had a few incidences where restaurants or retailers don't know how to use a gift card that can be redeemed at multiple businesses. Usually the cashiers have to do something, put it in as credit card, use a pin, I'm not sure but instructions are on the card. The lady at customer service was the rudest person I've encountered in a while, telling me "go to self check out, go to self checkout, go to self checkout!" I don't want to do self checkout, I wanted to have assistance with a gift card, which she gave me none, said do it yourself, if it doesn't go through it doesn't go through. I tried to explain the instructions on the card, she wasn't having it. I don't understand why certain people are in customer service. I don't think there is a name on the receipt or I would definitely call the lady out. No reason to be so rude. *I did call the gift card company, and it is to be used at Lowe's (it's right on the front of the card) and no I don't have to activate it, (both employees told me I had to activate it). I was told the cashier does have to put in the card as credit and the amount of the card, split payment or put in $25 for the card if the total purchase amount is more (in my case that was the issue).

DO NOT order parts thru here. if they dont have them in stock, move on. i waited 4 weeks to receive…read morea handle assembly (i paid in full) i called up my old employer (largest stihl dealer in the NE) and asked if the part i needed was on backorder, it was not... the general rule is if you order from stihl, anything over 50$ is free 2-day shipping (my part was 60$) they had originally promised me it would be a week or week and a half, that however was untrue. i called every week sometimes twice a week as this saw is very expensive and the customer i'm doing the repair for was eager to get his equipment back. same excuse every call "we've ordered the part it should be in anywhere from monday to tuesday", if i called on a monday they'd say; "wednesday to friday." this business lacks organization and my customer was afraid to go here for the repair initially as thi company has a reputation for either further breaking equipment, or losing the equipment. my suggestion, sure the parts may be cheap, but do you really want to get screwed in the longrun?

The website…read moresaid that this particular store in Bristol had 19 in inventory so we decided to go and get them. I could not get them online since the maximum was ONE mop per transaction. So we stopped at the store and went to the mop and broom section. No O Cedar flip mop to be found...when I asked one of the staff members about the item, I showed her the item on their Ace mobile app and she went on their system to check for inventory...she said, they had none in the store...but the mobile app said they did.... Confusing... She said, I can order from our warehouse and you might be able to pick up next week, I said, yes...so I can use my coupon. When she went to get the special order entered, the system said that they are no longer getting any more of these mops.... Weird how the mobile app inventory and the store inventories do not seem to talk to each other... Unfortunately we left the store empty handed....
