I had cut my own toe nails in between my last visit and the worker made too big of a deal of it. Who wants to hear that? Such a rush job! I would rate lower. My experience here was deeply unprofessional and upsetting. I came in with a positive and sincere attitude. Right away, I noticed small slights, like staff offering water to everyone else while completely skipping me. Not only was the staff dismissive of my physical injury, but Jesse repeatedly made me feel like an inconvenience, even telling me they didn't want me to 'be a problem.' Throughout the pedicure and manicure service, staff spoke in another language while asking me personal questions, which made me feel judged. When it came time to pay, I chose not to leave a tip due to the total lack of respect, to which no surprise.. the technician Jesse tossed my receipt onto the floor. I have never been treated with such a total lack of basic respect and care. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this place to anyone. Jesse re did the nail on the left three times then finally tossed my hand and this was the "result". I was honestly afraid of asking her to re do it. Very bad experience. read more

I first stopped in during their grand opening weekend while my boyfriend got his hair cut, and got a pedicure and they were quick and the French came out perfectly! The next couple of times, I got a gel manicure. Ivy shapes my nails perfectly and is quick. They last for a long time and still look new when I come in for another manicure. BEWARE!!!! I went to get my nails done 3 times at this nail place, it was convenient and on my route home and there was never anyone in there!!! I guess that should've been my first clue to not come here. I never saw them sanitize any of the tools that they used and the lady kept her drill bits in a mint tin container. The last time I was there in late January, she cut my cuticle with her drill on my thumb and I ended up getting a serious bacterial infection around my fingernail. I've had to take antibiotics and use prescription creams to treat this. Almost two months later and it's finally healing! There's so many other nail salons in San Jose... stay away from this dirty place!! I would add a picture of my thumb and what I went through but it's too disgusting to post! Wow! First time here and I'm impressed. Really appreciate that this place advertises that they take walk-ins. Walked in at 11am on a Friday and was able to be seen right away. Got a standard pedicure. Prices are amazing. Other shops I pay at least $10-20 more for the same service. But the biggest difference between this shop and others that I've been to is that I didn't have to micromanage the polish. I feel like every other time I've gotten my nails done, I've had to ask the tech to do another coat because it's streaky, or to redo a nail because it got smudged during the process. I picked a lovely dark purple and I'm very happy with the even coat and how precisely it was painted up to my cuticle. A regular popped into the shop just as I was finishing up and you could really tell that this place loves their regulars. Can't wait to come back so I can start building the same rapport. read more

I have been to many nail salons ALL over Fremont, and have been getting my nails done for 10 years. No one can match the quality, speed, and care that Amy provides. I first started going to Amy when she was at Anh's Nails in Fremont, but now that she has moved to New Fashion Nails in Campbell, that's where I go! I have also had a full set and fills done by other ladies in the new salon, and they also do a wonderful job. Amy has a lot of experience doing nails and she is a joy to chat with. I have even come to consider her one of my friends, and I always look forward to my appointments with her. She does a wonderful job shaping my nails AND she does it incredibly fast without sacrificing quality. For some reason, I got mine done gel set without flower design and she told me $50. Positive: Lots of glitter combination choices. Sally does pay attention to details and she was friendly. It was not that hard to get an appt with her on a weekday. Cons: not much ambiance; they do speak among each other and since I am not Vietnamese, can't help but feel as though they are talking behind my back. I love this place. It is now about 3 weeks after i got my nails done here. I got the pink and white gel. ($45.00) The woman offered the white powder with glitter which i love. My nails still look good besides the fact that i really need a fill. I don't have any lifting edges or cracked nails. I love the designs that they do (Tina is the best). This was the first time I'd gotten a set done at this salon.I absolutely love that they did exactly what i asked for. i hate leaving salons feeling like I over paid.
