I came here upon the recommendation of a few of my coworker friends. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I made an appt online and was greeted promptly when walking through the day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]After confirming what services I wanted (gel manicure and Refresh pedicure), I was shown gel colors along the wall to choose from.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Feeling like something different today, I opted to get catseye gel polish. After picking my color, my nail technician started my manicure. She asked me what shape I wanted and there was a handy sheet that showed the different shapes - I opted for my regular square with rounded edges.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She cut, filed and shaped them - but they weren't exactly the shape I wanted. It was close enough, so I just went with it. My nails turned out okay - the catseye color was pretty and I liked the look of it. The massage was good. However, the shape and application of polish needed some work. Overall - it just felt rushed. I was then shown to my pedicure station and someone else worked on my toes. The pedicure went fine, the colors chosen were pretty and everything went okay. Again, I enjoyed the massage and was able to relax. [[HIGHLIGHT]]However, at the end, I was left at the station and my technician walked away. I assumed I was to wait for a while while my nails dried since I got regular polish on my toes. This would have been fine, but my technician never came back to check on my toes or tell me when I could leave. After half an hour, I checked my toes and tried to make eye contact so she could come back. After another 10 mins of sitting and trying to get her attention, she came back and I asked if I was good to leave.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, the 1st nail technician and owner(?) was welcoming when I came in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I liked the color that I got on my nails, but would prefer a different shape and a thinner application of polish. It ended up lifting within a week and peeling off after a week and a half. [[HIGHLIGHT]]2nd technician who did my toes was efficient, but I would have liked some communication about how long to wait and coming back to check on my toes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will go back and try one more time as my friends highly recommend one of the technicians. read more

Maybe I need to try another person. If you're wondering why didn't you give her a one star? They also had a variety of hello kitty nail stickers which was super cute. I will not be coming here any longer. I had a horrible experience today and the last two times I came it was just weird. I gave them benefit of the doubt and kept giving a chance. The shaping is not good and the price was crazy. Normally I pay $55 and today I got charged $95 just for her to do two of my fingers as a French tip. I can do that myself at home for cheaper. I am very disappointed with whoever did my nails the second time I came (Don't know her name but might've been Kim?) but she kept cutting me and also disappointed with Tina today. I specifically requested Tina because last time when I came, she did them super fast. I was literally out in 30 minutes. I came with my friend today and it took way longer and it doesn't even look right. My thumbs are different lengths and my left thumb thumbnail is way too big for my finger and has fallen off. I got them done at 12 PM today and it is currently 7:36 PM. My friend got a gel manicure and seemed to like it but she said it felt rushed too. The previous times I came my nails only lasted two weeks whereas at other salons it lasts 3-4. I'm done being ripped off. The only nice person is the lovely gentleman who seems to own the place and speaks perfect English but unfortunately I am too upset to come back. Whoever did my nails in my first review, which is the first time I ever came is the best but there's no way to book with her on the website according to my receipt it looks like her name might be Ivy?? I've been to this nail bar a couple of times, before Covid, or during that timeframe! I'm not sure I'll be back after my latest experience. First off, if that mattered to you, they've dropped the 5% cash discount to just 3%, and they don't give out stamps anymore, which was kind of disappointing. Small perks like that make a difference, you know? On the bright side, Tiffany was amazing! I had a hard time narrowing down a color (I mentioned like 5-6 options), but she really took the time to help me find the perfect one. She did a fantastic job with the filing, paint, and cleanup too. Big thumbs up to her and the other lady who did my hand nails! (Sorry she didn't have her name on and with all the other conversations on I couldn't fit in the, oh what's your name).. That said, the overall experience wasn't great. The manager was a bit weird, and the team seemed rushed. She had this strict "teacher face" vibe and made me feel like I was wasting everyone's time for taking a few extra minutes to decide the color for my feet and hands. Sorry, I'll do my "homework" next time, right? It stressed me out and took the fun out of it. Also, the massage they do is so basic--it's really just lotion on your arms. Nothing relaxing about it. Pricing is pretty standard, I mean this is how much it costs in a good-looking nail bar. Again on the bright side, the salon is pretty and well maintained! Parking is easy, loads available in the shopping complex. They seem to stay busy, so definitely call ahead to check availability. At this point, I think it's time for me to try out some new nail bars and see what else is out there. Unfortunately, after about three weeks, the nails started falling off one by one. Some were partially broken and still attached to her natural nails, causing damage and significant pain. The broken acrylics would snag on her hair and clothing, making everyday activities uncomfortable and upsetting for her. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seeing my child in pain over something that was meant to be a fun experience was very frustrating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We went back to the salon to have the nails removed and explained what was happening. Instead of concern or accountability, we were told that acrylic nails are only meant to last about 10 days and that we should have come in for a fill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This was never explained to us at the time of service. When I questioned why this information wasn't shared, the front desk staff said they don't provide it unless customers ask.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Considering the high cost of acrylic nails, it's unreasonable to expect parents to pay so much for something that lasts such a short time--especially when it causes pain and damage. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The lack of empathy from the front desk staff made the situation even worse. My wife just got a basic manicure. Her nails were left with sharp edges at the sides. They did a very poor job. I did not want gel and picked a color from the board that said gel and regular. Number 150. The lady brought 2 bottles and I believe she was explaining one was gel and one regular. I said fine that's the color I want. She said no not the same as samples. I asked if she could show me colors I could choose from then. She got frantic and explained again about colors on the walls being gel samples but the manufacture made same in regular. I said fine then I want 150. She again said no. Not this color. I asked once more if she could show me colors I could pick from. She started in again on the speech of gel vs regular not being identical to the samples and I said for the third time if she could show me which colors were regular that I could choose from. Need I say more than I won't be back. Convoluted pricing. I think that if management told me what the price will before the service is done it would be more equitable without being so vague. My first manicure was $45 for acrylic fill. My nails were shortened & was shaped the same as when I went in. Second manicure was $50 because they added $5 for shaping, the same shape I came in with. To clam that shaping requires more talent means that the manicurists aren't trained. I've never paid more for giving my nails the same shape. I didn't understand their logic. read more

I went in for a pedicure and it was an amazing experience and all tools used on me were opened from new packaging. Updating my review based on a handful of things... I wish I could say The Valley Nail Bar was still my favorite go to spot but it's changed a lot the last year or 2. One change I do like the interior design changes they've made. It looks great! What I don't care for is that they are starting to get that 'turn em and burn em' feel. What I mean by that is all the nail techs are rushed. I don't know if it's the owners or managers or what but they walk around and make little comments to all the techs the entire time. I don't need to speak the language to pick up on the context... im pretty confident they are asking them 'how much longer' because the next person is waiting. And I get it, it's business. But I come for here to relax and have a peaceful moment. I don't want to feel rushed and I don't want my tech to feel rushed. If it is necessary for people to walk around and constantly check how much longer people are going to be, perhaps you are overbooking. I also took my mom here 2 years ago and the tech really hurt her finger trying to remove old acrylic. At the time, I thought my mom was maybe overreacting but her nail was black for a really long time after that and 2 years later that finger still bothers her. This didn't stop me from coming because I'm sure that wasn't on purpose, but I also got cut at least twice after that with those cuticle clippers during my pedicure. Ouch!! I haven't completely given up on Valley Nails, but I feel like maybe we need to take a break and see other people for awhile. read more

Sophia was my gal for the day. I must say that she was very good and took her time on both services. She made sure that the length was even on both my hands and feet. She took extra care when clipping my toenails as I have extra skin under 2 of my nails. The polish application was very even and I did not see any flaws. Minus 1 star, only due to the fact that when she cleaned my cuticles (both the nails and toes) she was a little rough and it did hurt a bit.
