If you would like a non conventional massage this is the place for you. There are no "rooms" only areas separated by sheer curtains. You can hear the receptionist answer his phone or anyone talking. What I had done was a 60 minute hot stone massage with cupping (I will get to the cupping in the next paragraph). The massage itself was very choppy and not what I think of when I picture a massage. He started off...yes he they did not ask if I had a preference they never even knew my name just my phone number. Anywho he started off by doing a deep tissue massage over a towel on my back. He then removed the towel off my back and did a lotion massage on my back. Next was the hot stone that he did for maybe three minutes, that was very disappointing. Next he went straight into the cupping without ANY warning which would have been nice. After the cupping he again did the over the towel massage again and finally had me flip over and finished with doing a front side massage (stomach, legs, feet and upper chest) and a head massage. Okay now for the cupping. This was my first time ever doing this, no one asked me that or told me anything about what was going to happen. I had read about it but there are different types. They do stagnant cupping with pumps. Like I said he went straight into it, and it hurt! Like a lot and I have a high pain tolerance. I was doing very strong breathing techniques to get through the pain. When he released the cup pressure I was so happy to have it done and over with. Overall, I didn't feel relaxed hardly at all throughout the massage, however when I got up to leave I was kind of in my own little world it was just hard to focus on relaxing during the massage with all the switching from one thing to another. I was also uncomfortable at some points where he chose to massage (my upper chest, butt and things). As for the cupping the only benefit I got from it was less anxiety and a little more energy. Would I recommend cupping? No, not in the least it hurt and it's literally putting bruises on your body that hurt and I didn't see much benefit from. As a runner I was hoping for some better performance, that was not the case. Will I be back? Maybe for a deep tissue massage but I will probably choose to try other places since this one will only let me buy one Groupon for it and otherwise an hour is 60 dollars. read more

I have been here many times, always got a foot massage and had never had any problem at all. Keep coming back. Yesterday I had went it to get a foot massage and a body massage. I was given a foot massage by one of the employees. It was fine. After that finished it was time for my body massage. I asked the employee to have a female massage me since I am also a female and I would be more comfortable that way. He said no very rude and abruptly. I asked again , he said no again because she is busy. I said I can wait until she is done because I would rather have he do it. He said no again, I was appalled, this is a place of healing, I was very offended. I asked one more time and told him that if she doesn't not do the massage then I am not going to do it because I don't want some random man touching my body. He finally asked his manager and his manager told me to wait 10 minutes which I was perfectly fine with. It should have gotten that far. I experienced amazing foot reflexology when in Texas and have been desperately in search of somewhere in MN that could compare. After several failed attempts, I have found one!! The facility is clean and inviting. They are so welcoming and friendly! I had tried the combination foot reflexology and back massage, and will probably only do the foot reflexology since I'm pretty picky about massages. The foot reflexology portion includes scalp/face massage which was fantastic, followed by arms/hands and finally feet/legs. The setting is relatively no frills but has all you need: very comfortable, clean, and oh boy do the therapists know what they are doing. Poor customer services. The massage was good, but the front desk people were rude! After completing our massages, they had asked if it was good and we responded in kind, but didn't get what we had purchased. We had purchased a 30min body and 30min hot stone foot massage. The lady immediately told us to leave a tip. When we stated we didn't bring any cash, but really we were offended at how she approached us. She told us she can charge it, but we declined. This place is a hidden gem. I am a nurse, runner, and college graduate who spent far too many party nights in 5 inch heels. Thanks to the combination of the three, I now have chronic foot problems. Morton's neuroma, specifically. Prior to finding this place, I would spend over $100 each time I needed an orthopedic foot massage to relive the pain. I would try to extend time between massages by using a spiky massage ball along the ball of my feet which, if you haven't tried, can be pretty excruciating. I still do this because it helps break up the scar tissue in my feet and relieves pain short-term, but now I don't have to prolong the time between massages nearly as long. The massages I have gotten here are INCREDIBLE! Definitely comparable to my orthopedic massages though they are technically based in Chinese reflexology. And they are so affordable! The website says $45 for one hour, but it can be even less if they have a promotion running. Like all of the best places, the exterior is an unassuming storefront in a strip mall. The massage space is probably not what you would expect, but trust me it is wonderful. Once you step beyond the front entry, you enter the spa which is essentially one large room divided into smaller massage suites by semi-sheer floor-to-ceiling curtains which make the space feel open and airy but also provide welcome degree of privacy. Each little suite has a cushioned, reclining chair with a large ottoman...a very cool and comfortable alternative to a massage table if you ask me. The space is dimly lit and relaxing instrumental Asian music can be heard overhead. With each experience here, I have found the masseuses to be extremely thorough and courteous. Never cutting corners or rushing to get me in and out. If anything, they have gone over the hour mark to finish my massage. Additionally, they go out of their way to accommodate me as much as possible even when I call last minute. It is honestly some of the best customer service I have seen in the Cities. I read some comments negative about this establishment, and I felt compelled to finally say something. I fall asleep every time I go here. It's a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. I tip them well and they deserve it! Get real! It's their livelihood! Yes, sometimes I need to tell them "harder" or "softer" - DUH - the masseuse needs to know this! I had knee problems and contemplated surgery. NOT ANY MORE! Suggestions for first timers: tell them what kind of massage you want. Tell them ahead of time if you want them to use lots of pressure or soft. Tell them where it hurts. You have a headache? Sore feet? Back? It will be gone when you leave. This was my first time here- not going to be my last! This was unconventional but amazing. Started in a chaise like chair with my feet in water while my head neck and arms were massaged. Then my feet were dried and massaged, finished with a hot towel. Then moved to a real massage table and my back arms and legs were then massaged, finished with hot stones and hot towel. This was one of the best massages I have ever had. I called in the morning and got an appointment an hour later. It is different in that it involves acupressure points and reflexology which are a large part of the experience. My massage therapist knew little English but delivered an outstanding treatment for what ailed me, always saying "OK?". It seemed like a very long massage and the person who greeted me initially told me the massage therapist told him that I NEEDED more time(I had hurt my back the day before and also tingling in one toe). He could tell the areas that were in need of reparation and was so extremely intuitive and knowledgeable. I had a foot massage which also included head and shoulders and rest of the body. Today I finally had the time to go and called 2 hours ahead to make an appointment. Arrived 15 mins early and was greeted by an Asian gentleman, told him I had an appointment and he asked what did I wanted to do today. When I told him I had a Groupon he immediately said we don't accept Groupon today sorry. I asked him why didn't he tell me that on the phone earlier? He scratched his head and couldn't answered why. I've been in this area before and I've noticed this business. I decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised. A young man met me at the door and guided me to one of the tables. It was one of the best back massages I have ever received. He clearly had training and was able to locate all of my problem areas without me saying a word. I wanted to treat my husband for his birthday to a nice couples body and foot massage and found this deal on Groupon. I had called earlier in the week and had been given a 6:30 pm appointment time for our date night. When we arrived 5 minutes before our allotted time, the lady at the desk said a spot for only 1 person was booked and just stared at us. We told her our commute to get there was over an hour, isn't there anything that could be done? She went to talk to someone in another room told us to come back at 7 pm. We returned at 6:55 where we were shocked when she said there was not an opening for us!!! She said she texted us after we left. No, no text was received as I showed her on my phone. She said "Do you want to book another day?" without any regard to our already wasted evening. We asked to speak to the manager. She repeatedly refused to give us any contact information. When pressed further she finally said the manager's name was Cindi and gave us the business number. I called it immediately and could only leave a message, which I did, asking for a call back. No response for 2 days. I called the number again and now the front desk lady answered it. I asked for the owner/manager and again she stated she has no means of contacting the owner or manager of the business she works for. Really??? I ended up contacting Groupon who was very apologetic and said they will investigate. After hearing how we were treated, the Groupon representative stated that the type of poor service we received from Healing (Stealing is more like it) Foot Spa does not measure up to the standards of quality that Groupon likes to work with.
