My experience here was odd to say the least. Walking in the lobby was small, but welcoming and the staff was friendly. The walk to the quiet room and adjoining changing room really felt like walking through a refurbished office building. The changing room and quite room and very small and didn't have a comfortable feel to me. The 60 minute massage I booked started on time, but it was just okay. This is the first time I've ever had a massage that didn't use warm lotion nor wrap my feet with warm towels. Honestly, the entire experience and building felt chilly the whole time I was there. I noticed at the end of my massage that the thermometer in the room read 68 degrees, yikes! I also was confused because of conflicting signage regarding cells phone. One sign said "discouraged" in the quiet area and another sign said "not allowed". Either way, while I understand "respecting other's relaxation" for some of us part of relaxing and renewing is scrolling social media and reading on our KindlKindle apps because we are too busy during the week. Received a giftcard so decided to schedule a couple's massage. There's no way to do this online so I had to call in, but we got our spot. You check in at the front and fill out a form to choose your experience, including talking levels, music, and lotion scent. You are walked to the back where there are gendered lounges. You can change into provided robes and sandals and store your clothes and valuables in the provided lockers. You wait in a dim room to relax a bit and the massage therapists call you to your room. After the massage, you get a choice of water or tea, and can stay in the lounge for as long as you like. Overall, i had a good experience. Our massage therapists did a fairly good job and I love the relaxing lounge area, locker rooms and the provided robes. My only complaint is that we did hear doors slamming during our massage, which is why this spot is 4 stars instead of 5. read more

My mom had the best time here after a long flight with sore muscles. She adored the woman that massaged her as well. My mom has really sensitive body issues that make massages not great for her, but that was not the case here. Also, I'm new here and really enjoyed the receptionist that helped me make my mom a same day appointment. Had booked a deep tissue full body massage with Elle and I hadn't realized my shoulders were able to sit lower on my body until after our session. Elle was super awesome with the massage and very informative on everything she was doing as well as educating myself for further care on my body. Went to Spavia for the first time this past Sunday for an Ultimate Hydraderm facial. It was my first ever facial. I've been dealing with some minor acne and wanted a little extra help. The experience checking in was simple and painless. I filled out some information about the experience I was looking for and my skincare history. After that I was brought back to the ladies changing area. There was a locker set up for my belongings with a luxe robe and slippers for me to change into. From there I went to the ladies waiting area where there was snacks, beverages and heated neck pillows to relax with until the tech brings you back. For the Facial, my tech was awesome. It was the total relaxing experience through out. By the time it was over I was ready to take the loveliest nap. Overall l, the experience was lovely and I would definitely return for another service. Only thing I would change is some instruction before and after the facial on what to do/not to do. read more

This place is amazing! It's truly a retreat with a designated area for both women and men where you can relax before and after your service in the cozy robes they provide. There is complimentary tea (wide variety) and snacks, warm neck wraps and variety of books. They ask prior to service via online forms what kind of scent you want, what type of music you prefer, and your shoe size they have the right footwear for you. I had a massage with Ryan and it was amazing! He focused on my problem areas and used the right amount of pressure. He let me relax and didn't force conversation. Honestly I'm never in twon for my bdays, but do get massages and i wanted a true spa feel. You know, robes, slippers, cucumbers for your eyes lol, resting room, etc. This place had that, minus the cucumbers. It's located in Maple Grove... for me, that's a hike living dtwn Mpls, but a free massage is worth it! There's ample parking, they have a lot, it's positioned in what feels like a suburban strip mall. I parked right in front of the door, it was very cold that day. I was checked greeted, checked in and had to use a tablet to complete a questionnaire of some sort re: scents i like, problem areas I hve for the massage, etc. My massage was with Rose and thoroughly enjoyed it. She had the strongest hands and had the audacity to be so petite! i was amazed. I could have gone to sleep on her. It was amazing. Afterwards they provide you with water or tea and take you a calming room, where it's dimly lit, waterfall music is playing in the background and it's very calming to say the least. when you're all done, you go back to the locker room, get your things from the locker, re dress and head to the front to pay for your service. Whew, where do I start? First, the atmosphere and ambiance of the Spavia is perfect. You get greeted and then walked back to a room where you change into a robe and slippers. When you've finished changing, you walk into the comfortable waiting room until you're greeted by your person. So relaxing. Second, Jody was my massage therapist. She has really good energy. She's very intuitive. When I tell you that I've never felt this great after a massage... Sis/Bruh.. I've never felt this great after a massage and I've gotten plenty. Very good massage, very bad front office. I had a Visa gift card that I wanted to use for my massage and was told they would not accept it because they have to pay a 5% fee for accepting the card. The front desk person said she could put the amount toward my purchase but would not run the card, instead the gift card would be given to the owner to use elsewhere so they didn't lose money accepting the gift card. I tried one more time after being given SpaFinder gift card, which Spavia accepts and advertises on the SpaFinder website. They wouldn't accept the gift card to be put toward me purchasing a monthly membership and they wouldn't take it to be used as full payment of my massage (gift card was in the amount of $10 over the price of the massage). Said they lose money accepting them. Yet, they chose to participate in the Spa Finder program, but really don't want anyone to use their gift cards at their spa. Was told even if I brought in a $200 gift card and my massage was only $100, they keep the other $100 of the gift card and it cannot be put toward a future massage. (My friends and family know I love massages so I often receive gift cards). Massage great, the rest of it, sketchy! If using any type of gift card, be aware! read more

I was quite disappointed. She only applied extraction on two spots on myself, while leaving clear spots of black heads on my face. When expressing my disappointment to the front desk, they said there was nothing they could do. Also, I wasn't provide shoulder massage at all. My biggest concern was that they showed a lack of concern for losing further services in the future. I hope when they read this review they make it a point to make things right. read more

Two different facial, both bad. The first one was a nice upper body massage, but not enough attention to the face. The second one was very rough, made I multiple comments. Unfortunately this spa does not work with their customers very well. I was a new customer getting used to the online booking system and I needed to change an appointment, which I thought I did, even received a confirmation email showing that I tried to change it. Then the day of my old appointment, the spa called saying they had to charge me half of the service since I couldn't show up. Even the manager wasn't willing to accommodate the fact that the system messed up the booking. This is not good customer service in my book, especially when there are many other places to go, which I will be doing. I do not recommend even starting business with this spa since they are unwilling to listen to their customers and accommodate simple booking errors. Too bad. read more

They said the couple's room was already being used. Since we drove 40 min to get there we just decided to do separate massages and not reschedule. This place isn't what it used to be. I tried to go back 3 times to give it another chance but I'll never go back. My last 2 massages I paid for 80min but the session was only an hour long or less! They did credit me for one of the sessions ($20) claiming the masseuse got confused. Today I walked in and the room wasn't prepared for a prenatal massage which I booked, then he took the time out of my massage to get it ready and the length of my actual massage was less than 1 hour (there is a clock in the room) but I paid for 80min. My main qualms at the moment are that I saw multiple guests in the spa who were not abiding by the mask rule whatsoever. Staff witnessed and did not enforce it. My massage time was also not really what it was quoted. I arrived early and was ready to go in robe prior to my appt start time. For $100 I expect to get close to 80 minutes not more like an hour of actual time worked on me. I timed it based off of my phone and the clock they had in the massage room. I had the signature facial by Melanie today! I have recently been struggling with some breakouts and dry/sensitive skin. This facial reset my skin and is going to help it continue to heal! Melanie was very kind and relaxing. I think she did a really thorough job. Overall this is a really amazing place. I love the private dressing rooms, robes, and the relaxing waiting room! The intake form is also very thorough; I think the wide variety of questions help make your experience even better.
