Our daughter has celiac disease so we were happy to see gluten free pizza crust on the menu . When adding to waitlist, we asked and hostess confirmed this was available. We waited for 30 minutes then were seated and ordered. Server returned to our table and told us they just ran out of gluten free crust. Pulled pork had gluten in BBQ sauce and other options wouldn't work for our special needs daughter. So frustrating and disappointing. We were hungry after a 7 hour trip into town. Paid for our drinks and left. Tried to leave a review using QR code on table sign asking for feedback but the QR code wasn't working on any of our phones. We won't be back. Had to leave downtown to bring in from somewhere else to our hotel as many restaurants are closed on Sunday night and those that were open had long waits or limited, if any, gf options. read more

Stopped here for a late lunch and was so impressed by their gluten-free options and protocols. The space has a great vibe--they have an awesome outdoor beer garden, though we opted to grab a table inside this time. They also have a little shop on-site, which is a fun feature to check out! Their menu has items clearly marked "GF," and they offer both GF buns and pizza crusts, along with a huge selection of cocktails. When I asked about the seasonal sangria, our server was incredibly knowledgeable. She explained that they make their vodka in-house and while it's gluten-free, it's not certified gluten-free, but their gin is certified. I really appreciated that level of transparency! Our server even asked if I had celiac disease, which immediately put me at ease. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip, which they brought out with gluten-free chips, explicitly announcing it as "gluten-free" when they set it down. For my main, I ordered the garlic cheese pizza. The crust was really good--perfectly cooked and delicious. The service was attentive, safe, and welcoming from start to finish. New Holland Brewing was our first stop on our trip to Michigan so we were very excited to try anything on the menu. We split a cordon bleu pizza and it was fabulous! We especially enjoyed the cheese and mustard. Probably one of the most unique and delicious pizzas we've had in a long time! Although we were seated right away, we weren't given a choice in where we wanted to sit or if we preferred inside/outside. I went to New Holland Brewing and it did not disappoint. I had heard great things about this spot from some locals, and it definitely lived up to the hype. Although it was busy, we were seated immediately. There's plenty of seating both inside and outside, which helped the wait. The menu is fairly short, but that wasn't an issue since there were still plenty of appealing options. I started with the Dragon's Milk Toasted Marshmallow drink. Based on the name, I expected something sweet, but it was much more bitter than anticipated. We also ordered the Hot Honey Pepperoni Pinwheels, and they were incredible. Crispy, flavorful, and easily one of the best appetizers I've had at a restaurant. I highly recommend giving them a try. For my meal, I got the Dixie Luau, their take on a Hawaiian pizza. It was excellent. The crust was the perfect thickness, and the toppings were generous. What really stood out was the pineapple, it tasted fresh and high quality compared to the canned pineapple that many places use. If the weather is nice, definitely ask to sit on the front patio. It was the perfect place to relax, enjoy the food, and do a little people-watching. The atmosphere was great, and I'd absolutely come back the next time I'm in the area. read more

I wish I could rate this higher because we had such a good experience at the GR location. We ordered hot chicken sandwiches, burgers and I got the turkey club. The chicken sandwiches were dry and all hot food was cold like it was hanging out in the kitchen for a while. Servers were friendly but waited 45 minutes for food. Perhaps staffing was off. If you're in the Holland Michigan area I would encourage you to stop by new Holland brewing for a drink. The vibe is fun and the space is actually a lot bigger than I expected. If you're there with good weather, they even have an outside beer garden that being said, I would skip the food. It was just fine and not something I would really recommend. The drinks were great though, and I love that they were offered in many different sizes. read more

Let me begin by saying I love breweries. Not even for the drinks, especially because I am currently pregnant at the moment, but when breweries offer food, the options are normally bomb. So, when my friends and I were in Saugatuck for a bachelorette party and decided to stop by New Holland Brewery, I was stoked and we were not disappointed. The vibes, service, and food were all great, and the menu has plenty of options to choose from. Even without a reservation, we were able to get a table upstairs that comfortably fit our large group, which was impressive given how busy the place was. Our waitress did an amazing job keeping up with such a big party and made sure everyone was taken care of. The menu offers a nice variety, including starters, pizzas, salads, soups, and sandwiches, all at very reasonable prices. Most entrees fall in the $15 to $20 range. I had a hard time deciding what I wanted because so many items sounded good, but I ultimately ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich for $15 with a side of cream of potato soup. Both were excellent. The chicken was huge, perfectly cooked, and well-seasoned with just the right amount of heat. The soup was creamy with a great balance of potatoes. Overall, I genuinely loved my meal and would absolutely return the next time I am in town. Great to return, the beers are reliably good. Did a flight with a couple different dragon's milk beers and a couple seasonal beers. The S'mores dragons milk was probably my favorite whereas the Ichabod was probably the worst (just way too much pumpkin which is the opposite of most pumpkin beers). Food is great too. Elevated bar food classics in many respects. The food is great though - a diverse menu with a number of options, reasonable prices I felt. Service was great as well. Ate here on a whim because it was walking distance from the hotel. We had the chicken wings and the pizza pinwheels. The plate of pinwheels comes with 10-14 and honestly could be a meal in itself for just a couple of people. My favorite was the buffalo chicken wings. I thought they were so good but my bf would have preferred extra sauce. He said if we go back he will just ask for extra on the side. I don't think you can go wrong with a stop at New Holland Brewing. The drink selection is way more expansive than it used to be. The menu has a little something for everyone. The wait staff was very personable and friendly. One of our food orders came with something we wanted removed and they were very accommodating to fix that for us. We sat on the outdoor, covered patio. It was a fabulous meal, even with mid-July weather. The service was fast and friendly and just the right amount of attentive. We had the Pork Luau pizza and the pesto grilled cheese with tomato bisque. Both were delicious! We just left the bar, because we were really disappointed with the service, or lack there of. We love the location in South Haven and were looking forward to trying the Holland location. It was a fairly busy Sunday and were alarmed to see only one bartender serving the entire restaurant. Normally we would understand there are circumstances that arise but, we could not help notice other individuals around the service area walking around with tablets yet unwilling to assist our kind bartender who was maintaining as best they could. Went to the New Holland brewery. We couldn't get a table for dinner so we went to the bar and got a couple of beers in a to go cup that you can walk around a 3 block area with open container. We got a peachy haze and a crimson keep beer. The haze was very fruity with a very hopped after finish. It was very good. The crimson keep is a red ale aged in a bourbon barrel cast . This is a strong ale we'll hopped with a spicy finish but fell short on the fullness of body. The bartender was so busy I didn't catch his name. But he was hustling. After shopping and dinner at another restaurant we came back for a dragon's milk beer which is a stout beer aged in a bourbon cast . This beer hits all the marks. Rich full bodied great finish. This is my all time favorite beer on tap. There is also a to go shop that we bought a selection to bring home all in all a great night. read more

We visited this spot during our trip to Holland. It was packed, but we were able to get on the waitlist and were told to return in about an hour. When we came back, they hadn't saved a spot for us and admitted they'd forgotten to call, though they managed to seat us shortly afterward. It felt a bit unorganized. Once seated, we ordered a few appetizers and some beer on tap. The food was phenomenal and more than made up for the wait. The atmosphere here is very casual, with a great selection of food and drinks, including cocktails. We tried the queso, cheese curds, and nachos, all of which were fantastic. Went this weekend to celebrate our friends birthday! We had a reservation so we got sat at a high top in the bar right away! The service was very slow and had inaccurate information on specials. I got the lake life seltzer (cherry limeade) and it was delicious!!!! For dinner, I ordered a large BBQ Chicken Pizza with pineapple added. Ok. Been coming here since my daughter was a freshman at Hope in 2011. The once constant is the service is horrible. Doesn't matter. Sit at the bar or table, the are trained in ignoring you. It is a difficult skill, but they have perfected it here. 14 years of poor service has to be a record. Does management train this? They must. I mean, you sit down and you can count on 10 + minutes of wait time before they even acknowledge you. And this is at the bar. Came back again today for the first time in a few years and was shocked that nothing changed. I came in this afternoon and the cool dude in the bandana ignored me for at least 10 minutes. The best thing was there were only 2 people at the bar, a waitress who was cute and off from her shift and me. I actually sat closer to her since muscle memory kicked in and I saw where his attention was and the Tigers were on down there and I wanted to watch that. Yet I'd waited another 10 minutes for him to acknowledge me. He eventually served me and (the only reason I give this place 2 stars is the beer is great) my beer was outstanding. Took another 10 minutes after I finished to get a check. Yes 1 and done since I had other things to do. I decided Cash would be best since it would be forever to get him to do a cc. This was all with an empty bar. But wait! It only gets better. Like an idiot, I left Our Brewery and came here since I really love the Dragon Milk. So stupid! Sat down at a semi empty bar. I was ignored, since that is policy here for at least 10+ minutes. Don't worry, I loved watching whatever stupid chef program was on...no seriously love that crap...NOT. Finally, after the bartender (female now) completely ignored me, I just said "Hey, I want a Dragon's Milk. She stopped and asked what size. I told here and was temporarily happy. 10 oz. Goes down quickly and 15 minutes later I wanted something else. Once again the incredible waiting game. Back and forth she walked to other customers and ignored me (and I am a big tipper for big service). Finally I had to just shout out my order. She informed me it was last call in 30 minutes, so I said, "just 1." Got my beer. Now it is 30 minutes later and all I want to do is pay. Please dear Lord, remind me of this the next time I am in Holland! Only buy their beer in the store. The frustration is not worth it. I am a really nice person and not a dick, but this just sets me off. Our from now on. I warned you. YMMV. read more
