Typically I enjoy New Holland.Friendly staff & usually good food.Upon my recent visit I was somewhat confused by my experience.I ordered a sandwich with fries ( which ideally would be eaten TOGETHER). When my Food arrived I requested to have my fries remade since they were NOT HOT & had most likely been sitting under a light ( is my guess ) for a while.After 25 minutes fresh fries did arrive but as you might imagine now my sandwich was COLD.I asked my waitress ( who was lovely in every way!!!! ) to please send a manager over so I could express my frustration. The manager was apologetic & comped my food - but fun fact,I now had a cold sandwich with hot fries. Literally one was switched for the other. Although I appreciate the slight concern, it would have been nice to offer me an altogether HOT meal complete with everything HOT at the same time.Am I asking too much? I didn't get a meal that day- just some hot fries.....& actually the thought of this still annoys me. Please consider the entire meal & remember,I came to EAT not "negotiate " 1/2 of a HOT meal. 25 minute wait for a table after 5:25 PM on a Friday for an inside table for 6 people. We put in our name and number and got a table when ready. We ordered the spinach dip, pretzel and beer cheese, pizza pinwheel, house salad, margarita and garlic pizza, 2 Reuben's and a turkey Reuben. $168.69. CC fees. The spinach dip is a good, a lot of artichoke though. The pizza pinwheels were good. I like the spicy sauce with it. The pretzel sticks would have been better with bites for 6 of us. The beer cheese is good. The reuben is good. The turkey Reuben is average, the deli sliced turkey is not great. The pizza was underwhelming. The salad was a bit disappointing. Popped in here for a light lunch while shopping and exploring downtown. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and excellent food & drink. We had a couple beers and shared the pepperoni pinwheels at the bar. The bartender says the pinwheels were the top seller, and we saw why! Sooo yummy! Definitely stop by if you're in Holland. New Holland Brewing was our first stop on our trip to Michigan so we were very excited to try anything on the menu. We split a cordon bleu pizza and it was fabulous! We especially enjoyed the cheese and mustard. Probably one of the most unique and delicious pizzas we've had in a long time! Although we were seated right away, we weren't given a choice in where we wanted to sit or if we preferred inside/outside. Stopped here for a late lunch and was so impressed by their gluten-free options and protocols. The space has a great vibe--they have an awesome outdoor beer garden, though we opted to grab a table inside this time. They also have a little shop on-site, which is a fun feature to check out! Their menu has items clearly marked "GF," and they offer both GF buns and pizza crusts, along with a huge selection of cocktails. When I asked about the seasonal sangria, our server was incredibly knowledgeable. She explained that they make their vodka in-house and while it's gluten-free, it's not certified gluten-free, but their gin is certified. I really appreciated that level of transparency! Our server even asked if I had celiac disease, which immediately put me at ease. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip, which they brought out with gluten-free chips, explicitly announcing it as "gluten-free" when they set it down. For my main, I ordered the garlic cheese pizza. The crust was really good--perfectly cooked and delicious. The service was attentive, safe, and welcoming from start to finish. I went to New Holland Brewing and it did not disappoint. I had heard great things about this spot from some locals, and it definitely lived up to the hype. Although it was busy, we were seated immediately. There's plenty of seating both inside and outside, which helped the wait. The menu is fairly short, but that wasn't an issue since there were still plenty of appealing options. I started with the Dragon's Milk Toasted Marshmallow drink. Based on the name, I expected something sweet, but it was much more bitter than anticipated. We also ordered the Hot Honey Pepperoni Pinwheels, and they were incredible. Crispy, flavorful, and easily one of the best appetizers I've had at a restaurant. I highly recommend giving them a try. For my meal, I got the Dixie Luau, their take on a Hawaiian pizza. It was excellent. The crust was the perfect thickness, and the toppings were generous. What really stood out was the pineapple, it tasted fresh and high quality compared to the canned pineapple that many places use. If the weather is nice, definitely ask to sit on the front patio. It was the perfect place to relax, enjoy the food, and do a little people-watching. The atmosphere was great, and I'd absolutely come back the next time I'm in the area. read more

The gluten free pizza was just okay and the drinks I wanted to try couldn't be edited (removing the Dragon Milk Syrup) bc they make batches according to the waiter. There were also a lot of flies in the dinning room which I have never experienced with in-door dining. Overall wasn't super happy with the experience. read more

If you're in the Holland Michigan area I would encourage you to stop by new Holland brewing for a drink. The vibe is fun and the space is actually a lot bigger than I expected. If you're there with good weather, they even have an outside beer garden that being said, I would skip the food. It was just fine and not something I would really recommend. Let me begin by saying I love breweries. Not even for the drinks, especially because I am currently pregnant at the moment, but when breweries offer food, the options are normally bomb. So, when my friends and I were in Saugatuck for a bachelorette party and decided to stop by New Holland Brewery, I was stoked and we were not disappointed. The vibes, service, and food were all great, and the menu has plenty of options to choose from. Even without a reservation, we were able to get a table upstairs that comfortably fit our large group, which was impressive given how busy the place was. Our waitress did an amazing job keeping up with such a big party and made sure everyone was taken care of. The menu offers a nice variety, including starters, pizzas, salads, soups, and sandwiches, all at very reasonable prices. Most entrees fall in the $15 to $20 range. I had a hard time deciding what I wanted because so many items sounded good, but I ultimately ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich for $15 with a side of cream of potato soup. Both were excellent. The chicken was huge, perfectly cooked, and well-seasoned with just the right amount of heat. The soup was creamy with a great balance of potatoes. Overall, I genuinely loved my meal and would absolutely return the next time I am in town. I wish I could rate this higher because we had such a good experience at the GR location. We ordered hot chicken sandwiches, burgers and I got the turkey club. The chicken sandwiches were dry and all hot food was cold like it was hanging out in the kitchen for a while. Servers were friendly but waited 45 minutes for food. Perhaps staffing was off. Our daughter has celiac disease so we were happy to see gluten free pizza crust on the menu . When adding to waitlist, we asked and hostess confirmed this was available. We waited for 30 minutes then were seated and ordered. Server returned to our table and told us they just ran out of gluten free crust. Pulled pork had gluten in BBQ sauce and other options wouldn't work for our special needs daughter. So frustrating and disappointing. We were hungry after a 7 hour trip into town. Paid for our drinks and left. Tried to leave a review using QR code on table sign asking for feedback but the QR code wasn't working on any of our phones. We won't be back. Had to leave downtown to bring in from somewhere else to our hotel as many restaurants are closed on Sunday night and those that were open had long waits or limited, if any, gf options. read more

Great to return, the beers are reliably good. Did a flight with a couple different dragon's milk beers and a couple seasonal beers. The S'mores dragons milk was probably my favorite whereas the Ichabod was probably the worst (just way too much pumpkin which is the opposite of most pumpkin beers). Food is great too. Elevated bar food classics in many respects. The food is great though - a diverse menu with a number of options, reasonable prices I felt. Service was great as well. I really love New Holland Brewing! It's in a great location near a ton of other great shops and restaurants and the space itself is large with a patio, main dining and spacious bar area. We just left the bar, because we were really disappointed with the service, or lack there of. We love the location in South Haven and were looking forward to trying the Holland location. It was a fairly busy Sunday and were alarmed to see only one bartender serving the entire restaurant. Normally we would understand there are circumstances that arise but, we could not help notice other individuals around the service area walking around with tablets yet unwilling to assist our kind bartender who was maintaining as best they could. The plate of pinwheels comes with 10-14 and honestly could be a meal in itself for just a couple of people. My favorite was the buffalo chicken wings. Eight for lunch 3 kids 5 adults. Waitress Laurie seemed to be having a bad day as she was rather sullen and abrupt. Food was okay for the most part but kids Mac and cheese was cold and somewhat congealed. It was inedible. We told Laurie but there was no real dialogue about it. Went to the New Holland brewery. We couldn't get a table for dinner so we went to the bar and got a couple of beers in a to go cup that you can walk around a 3 block area with open container. We got a peachy haze and a crimson keep beer. The haze was very fruity with a very hopped after finish. It was very good. The crimson keep is a red ale aged in a bourbon barrel cast . This is a strong ale we'll hopped with a spicy finish but fell short on the fullness of body. The bartender was so busy I didn't catch his name. But he was hustling. After shopping and dinner at another restaurant we came back for a dragon's milk beer which is a stout beer aged in a bourbon cast . This beer hits all the marks. Rich full bodied great finish. This is my all time favorite beer on tap. There is also a to go shop that we bought a selection to bring home all in all a great night. read more
