The salad was good - I loved the dressing. It tasted a little salty but I'd get it again. The pizza was also nice - super thin and crusty. The dough is just simple and straightforward. We had finished up our dune ride and were in need of lunch and found this spot on Yelp. Nate and I were able to get seats at the bar but it sounded like there was a bit of a wait for the patio. This place seems to be known for their pizza, but we had just eaten pizza the day before, so we opted for a side of fries, a side Caesar salad, and an order of the wings. Well, we ended up getting full portions of the side items, which was a bit of a bummer as we weren't super hungry plus it was more expensive. We'd just be more specific next time. The food was good, but we really should have ordered pizza. The Caesar salad was fresh and flavorful, but had a LOT of anchovies. I personally really like anchovies, but this was a bit much. The wings were huge and kind of gamey, and the skin was not crispy so they were not my favorite to eat. The fries were tasty but nothing special. I will give 5 stars for the beer! I had the lake noir, which was a blueberry/blackberry beer and the other fruit beer which was watermelon flavored. They were both fruity and refreshing and I really enjoyed them. As part of our summer travels, my family and I enjoyed another stay in Saugatuck, Michigan. On this latest trip, we enjoyed some restaurants that we have enjoyed in the past, but also tried some new ones. The top new one we tried for me is the Noble Twist Taphouse. They feature house-made craft beer and New Haven-style pizza, two of my favorite things! The Le Bron (The Goat) pizza was excellent! This combines house dough with garlic confit, tomato jam, mozzarella, pickled red onion, chevre cream, arugula, and lemon oil ($30 for a 16-inch). The crust is outstanding, and the combination of toppings was really great. Plus it pairs perfectly with a glass of IPA or two. read more

New Haven pizza comes to Saugatuck. I have only had takeout from here because my kids were turned off by the acrid order of burned garlic when we stopped in here once, but they had my pizza ready at the stated time, kept warm in a tall warming oven, and they successfully handled a bit of special instructions too. My only real complaint is that the pizza was a little bit too well done for my liking -- the crust was dry and hard, like the crust of a good loaf of bread. On the other hand, it probably traveled better in that shape than it would have if they'd erred on the other side and the crust was too soft, in which case it would have been soggy by the time I got it home. Nice flavors in the pepperoni and sausage toppings, though the Hot Italian would have been better if much spicier, and the pepperoni would have been better without the honey. read more

While in town for the weekend, we were looking for a place to grab a drink in the evening of our first night. With a lot of places closed, we stumbled upon Noble Twist Taphouse. We are so glad we did! We loved it so much we returned our second night, as well! First, while many places closed at 9pm, Noble Twist closed at 10pm. Second, the hostess and bartender were welcoming, kind, and professional. Third, the ambiance is clean, modern, and open. We loved the classy, but not pretentious, vibe since many of the other spots in town have more of a dive-bar vibe. We sat at the bar to watch games on the TV, but there were plenty of tables with chairs, as well. The drinks menu is fabulous! I got a different cocktail each night and loved both. First, the Partridge in a Pine Tree. Second, a Dirty Gin Martini. Both were flavorful, high quality, and boozy. My husband tried the IPA the first night and the Pilsner the second. He loved both! Best of all, prices are reasonable for quality beverages! The menu also had wine and food, but we did not try either. Next time! Noble Twist Taphouse is our new favorite drinking spot in Saugatuck! Noble Twist is a relatively new brew pub in downtown Saugatuck. We had been there for beer and drinks before but not for the food. This time we also had dinner. The beer is good...I had the IPA, the Kolsch, a sour and the wheat. There's something here for every taste. My wife had a cocktail, which she said was quite good. We sat outside since it was a nice day. The outdoor space is wedged between a few buildings but it's pretty nice. Our app was the fried mushrooms. The serving size was a little small to share but the flavor was excellent. My wife ordered the chicken sandwich which came out piping hot and was excellent. Sadly my margherita pizza came out luke warm at best. At $28 that's not right. Our server, who btw was outstanding, took it back and brought a new one. This one was straight out of the oven... super hot and delicious. I loved the thin crispy crust. To her credit, she took the pizza off our check despite me telling her it wasn't necessary to do that. I'm giving 5 stars. Even though the first pizza was not hot, they handled the situation perfectly. We'll definitely be back! read more

Fantastic new to us restaurant. We visit the area yearly and this spot just took first place for us for restaurants. Excellent beer, excellent food, and excellent service. The menu is an "elevated" bar menu with a farm to table offering. We ordered a variety of foods- the charred broccolini salad, fried mushrooms, wings, and a couple of half pizzas. Eveyhing was phenomenal. The pizza had a sourdough taste (which we loved). We will definitely come back and highly recommend giving this spot a visit. read more

Happened to be in Sagatuak for the day and was looking for a good place to have a late lunch. Came upon Noble twist pizza and decided to give it a try. We have not found a decent pizza place in Michigan until today. We took a bite and said FINALLY!!! Great pizza!! Crust was amazing, flavors were phenomenal! My daughter and I ordered the hot Italian pizza, and my friend ordered the hot honey and pepperoni. Liked the hot Italian but LOVED the pepperoni and hot honey. Would definitely drive the hour out of the way to eat it! The hot Italian had a little lemon flavor that we didn't love, but it didn't stop us fromEating Service was fantastic we were the only table inside, but still got the impression the great service is a sure thing. We also ordered a side salad, I got the balsamic, it was ok a little too sweet for my taste but some people might like that. My friend the got the ranch and that was good. Solid pies and lives up to the hype. We've heard great things about Noble Twist and swung in after the dinner rush for some drinks and pies....and we're so glad we did. The Hot Italian (sub mozz) was flavorful, had a sweet sauce, and a chewy crust. While we can't remember the gals' order (see pics), they also loved their pie. The wings (we were curious because our family is from Calabria) were spicy, meaty, and flavorful. Service was friendly, warm, and quick. A Saugatuck favorite. Setting outside is comfortable and not cramped. Plenty of space to enjoy as your own. Service was wonderful, attentive, and stress free. Celebrating our anniversary, server offered to take our picture and wished us congratulations several times. Beer quality was great. The German dunkel is a good example for the type. Excited to see this new addition to downtown Saugatuck during a recent visit. It was starting to feel like we would go to the same places over and over again and we were thrilled to see this new spot pop-up on Yelp. We visited for an early in-house 5 PM dinner and were promptly seated. They have a large patio that appears to be quite popular, but we ended up sitting inside in the bar section. Our waitress was very friendly and eager to walk us through the menu. We ended up ordering the tempura fried veggies from the appetizers list a tomato Caprese salad (arugula caprese salad with tomatoes and a lemony vinaigrette (it was superb!) along with a pizza. The Lake house pizza with arugula, mozzarella, prosciutto, lemon oil and parm was fabulous. There are several TVs in the dining room room, so the kids were easily entertained as we leisurely enjoyed our wine and cocktail to go with dinner. Not proud to say this, but sometimes you just want to linger like the old (pre-kids) times. read more

Was visiting with my cousin(i'm from MD) the area,and came on an overcast Thursday afternoon but the weather was pleasant. My cousin had eaten there before because they offer a Gluten Free crust. We ordered a Gluten Free Margherita Pizza which was about average,not enough cheese,but the crust was very good and good sauce. Plus,we ordered a Gluten Free Michigan Mushroom Pizza which had roasted mushrooms, caramelized onion, mozzarella, white sauces, EVOO, and chives,it was outstanding and the GF crust was good as well. Interesting that they don't make the GF crust and they buy from Gordon Food service which must be their supplier. Pizza's I thought were a little pricey for the size,but we were satisfied. Came here for an impromptu dinner on their 1 year anniversary & the entire experience was fantastic. The hostess was so pleasant & sat us quickly. Our waitress, Molly, was also super friendly and flexible since we had our 3 kids with us. We ordered 3 pizzas, a plain cheese for the kids, a hot Italian & a Le Bron. All 3 were very good, the LeBron was especially delicious. Drinks were also great. Our youngest was not having a great time and one of the staff stopped by our table with a pana cotta to help cheer him up. It was such a nice gesture & the kids all loved their surprise dessert. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you're in the area. As an added bonus, the pizza tasted even better the next day for an on the road snack. read more

Was debating on just having drinks but after reading reviews while we were there we decided to try the food out. $80 bucks later and mediocre service we were left with differing opinions. We're older and have experienced a ton of different pizza places, breweries and restaurants. Wife liked the mushroom appetizer mostly for the sauce that came with it. I thought it was mostly greasy breading with very little mushrooms. The Caesar salad was good. Onto the pizza. Got the small hot honey pep. The crust was thicker than expected and chewy not to mention greasy. Was very dry and asked for additional sauce which they charged us $3 for tiny dressing cup fulland it was ice cold! It reminded me of a GFS flat bread pizza you get at restaurants (that don't do pizza) as an appetizer. Wasn't impressed with the food or service. Sry, just being honest. Noble Twist House is what happens when someone actually remembers that pizza should taste good. The crust is exceptional--confident, chewy, and happily the star of the show. I've tried the pepperoni, supreme, and pesto, and each one has convinced me that pizza can, in fact, be dinner. The rest of the menu, however, could use a long nap. Salads are what you'd expect if you asked your cousin who doesn't cook to "just bring something green." The kale and Caesar are both more penance than pleasure. And the appetizers--straight from the frozen food aisle in spirit if not in packaging--are best avoided. You'd think if they can make their own dough, they could pull off something edible to start. The drinks are a split personality: the beer list is excellent, with flavors from crisp pilsner to hoppy IPA. The cocktails, on the other hand, are so elaborate you'll need a degree in chemistry just to order. The food was good! But the service here is pretty horrible. After we were seated, no one came to greet us or take our order. We ended up having to ask someone for help. It took 45 mins to get one pizza. They forgot my husbands food. We waited 20 mins without anyone coming to our table. We got up and had to ask someone where his food was. We stopped in this new business on our last evening of family vacation in Saugatuck. We came super early for dinner (around 5pm) and sat at the indoor seating. There is also outdoor seating in a cozy patio space down a hallway from the indoor dining. Indoor seating had a bar/brewery vibe. The staff were very friendly and accommodating with our two young kids. The pizza was great! Excellent, chewy, tender thin crust. This was my second visit. I had a positive experience so I decided to dine here again. Unfortunately my second visit was not good. Pizza was not hot - just warm. Crust was crisp and flavorful. Sauce was very sweet. Added sausage but the sausage did not provide much flavor. I ordered the margarita pizza - just maybe average flavor. Server did a good job helping making selections from the limited menu. Very noisy ! Could not have a conversation with my date. There are many restaurants to dine in the area . Great new brewery in town! Big outdoor patio and long indoor bar sort of around the corner on the side street. When we went, they just had a couple of beers brewed and ready for sale, both of which were delicious! The bartender was super knowledgeable and attentive. Great new spot in downtown! Their outdoor patio is charming and cozy - perfect vibes for a summer night. We tried the clam and garlic pizza and it was delicious. I had their $18 margarita (I can't remember the name) and it was worth every penny - complex and way more interesting than a regular margarita. Their cider was perfect - dry with just a hint of sweetness. Service here was terrific. The staff welcomed us in and were warm and friendly. Our food and drinks came out in an appropriate amount of time. Love that the patio is dog friendly. I even loved the 80s music they were playing. We will definitely be back! read more

Had a great lunch with friends out back on the patio Saturday afternoon. The fresh draft brews made in-house were crisp and clean with the right flavors. One was a much improved version of Blue Moon and a great straight forward IPA. If you have time ask Wes one of the owners for a tour of the brewery! My wife had the Leah Cider and liked it a lot. I didn't expect the 3 pizza's we ordered to all be so different and so good. The Brazilian, Hot Italian and White Clam. I can't choose the best one because I loved them all!
