Really enjoyed our time at Wicks Park. We've been here several times before and really like this place. Started off with an app of their cheese curds. Came out hot, delicious and with a side of marinara. We prefer ranch, which tasted SO good, just like house made dressings should taste! Quantity was PLENTY for two people. I took the rest home, air fried it and was happy! Hubby ordered the Burnt Ends Hoagie. Generous amount of brisket, good amount of cheese, very flavorful sauce. Big sandwich. The bun it was on really made the sandwich. Hubby is very picky when it comes to buns, bread, etc. Quality bread can make or break a sandwich! Onion rings he had were hot, big and plentiful. Very tasty! I had the Deep Fried Walleye. I never really order fried food, but this fillet was HUGE and lightly (and nicely) breaded. I hate it when you get more breading and not much protein. The seasoning was perfect-not too salty, not bland. Great tartar sauce. The only reason l gave it 4 starts (because l really wanted to give it 4.5) was because my fries were only warm. Not hot like everything else we had. It was a sunny day, their door/windows were open, nice breeze. They have an outdoor patio area that is pet friendly. They have live music weekly. Enough TVs to catch sports no matter where you sit. Even a cozy fireplace, which was lit. Chad, the general manager stopped by our table to chat. Very nice guy! I highly recommend this restaurant. Definitely will go back again.

We have eaten at Wicks probably a half dozen times. That is a family group of 14. So that would make 84 meals. It is more like 168 meals, because the portions are so generous. Since we are only there one week in the summer, I cannot say we are regulars. i can say, however, that Wicks has been the single establishment we have visited every single year over a 20 year span of coming to Saugatuck for vacation. They can accommodate a big group with no issues. Our party consists of three generations. The servers have always been friendly, which is not always the case everywhere with a big group that includes kids. One teenager has a severe peanut allergy, and they are considerate about that. For lunch today, I had the mac and cheese with broccoli. My wife had walleye with French fries, and I sampled that. For the table, we had the elote (corn) dip, cheese curds, and onion rings. That makes for a range that I tasted personally. Others at the table had burgers, vegan burgers, crispy chicken over salad, and just about everything they list on the menu. We needed one box per person. We depart tomorrow, meaning we have to finish off all these leftovers within 24 hours. This is a compliment, not a criticism. I feel the need to take an afternoon nap after lunch at Wicks.

I haven't been here in ages but we tried it tonight at the request of my daughter and her boyfriend. I ordered the street corn salad and my steak medium. It was rare to medium rare. I hate to send things back but I could barely chew the pieces I cut off so I asked them to cook it a little longer. The inside still was quite pink so I left it alone. The salad was good though and my daughter and her boyfriend both smashed their chicken wings and burger respectively. I didn't get photos sadly because shortly after we were seated....some other regulars came in and one positioned herself almost hovering over me to where she was bumping my arm while I tried to eat. I mentioned something to our server but the regulars won out and no one said anything to ask them to give us space.

wouldn't come back. We got seated in the back of the restaurant away from everyone, the bartender kept interrupting our dinner even though we were not seated at the bar. He poured my drink and spilled it all over our table, and never cleaned it up. I had to get up and ask for a napkin from a different bartender. Then I recieved the wrong food, had to send it back to get what i ordered. Once it finally arrived it was cold. This is what they gave my boyfriend as a "Tuna Melt" yet it wasn't melted in the slightest? However, drinks were delicious and the chicken tenders were delicious. Not delicious enough to return for poor service, cold food and tuna "melts".

This was our second visit here and we throughly enjoyed every bite. Husband had the fish tacos and I had the French dip w/ onion rings. Both were delicious and would 100% come back again. Our waitress was great, frequently checking on us. Previously we had sat outside which is a cute little parkish setting but chose to sit inside this time as it was a little chilly. It is roomy and cute inside and out. We will definitely keep this in our Saugatuck rotation.

Wicks is always good. Down to earth, no fuss, no hipster stuff, good food and good drinks. Fair prices, indoor and outdoor seating. Good pizza! We go every time we are in Saugatuck, you should too.

We came to dine in the patio on a nice weekday. We were able to choose our seats upon arrival. Pros -dog friendly, water bowl provided for our pup -baby/toddler friendly -decent food -location, close to Ferry & shopping + ice cream area Customer service: friendly and quick Costs: it is on the higher end.. reflect to pay $20+ per person on an entree, appetizers are close to $20 each too. Spicy chicken sandwich: the chicken is quite spicy but it was also a little oily as if the chicken was drenched in oily sauce. The food was good and the portion was big. Skirt steak with peppers: this is similar to ordering a fajita with the ingredients all in a soft pita. The portion is quite big and can be shared amongst two ppl -ordered with curly fries which were great! Mm..perfectly seasoned and fresh & hot! I'd be back if I was in the area to try some of their other menu options.

What a cool local bar with amazing food! I ordered the homemade Mac and Cheese and it was the best I've had at any restaurant I've been to! It was so cheesy and creamy! I highly recommend. Our waiter was so fun and we loved our night at Wicks!

What a fun place. We arrived late, around 10pm and the kitchen was only making pizzas. We got Detroit pizza, which was excellent and went perfectly with the local beers and live music. It was quite crowded and the servers went the extra mile to take care of us. Definitely go here if stopping by Saugatuck

Indoor dining in a mostly empty restaurant (outside was a little livelier, but we had reasons to seat out party inside). First order or drinks went well, it took a really long time to place a food order (thankful for the appetizer we put in!). After that, it was practically like the servers didn't exist any longer. When the food arrived, SOME of us were asked if we wanted refills, but not all? Some people got water refills but not all? Very strange. Meals were a mixed bag, with some additions or subtractions missed, many things not at a temp that inspired confidence in their freshness, and soggy center to pizzas. We didn't ask for alterations for most errors because things already took so long so we just tucked into the eats. We did, however, ask for the add-ons that were NOT present to be removed from the final bill (them being present suggests an actual error in preparation/service, not the order being taken....) Even with a great location/view, The Butler will go under with this type of dining experience. Ultimate bottom line: Like other reviews, consistency in all phases of this business needs work.

Pumpernickels is a vibe and a great place to sit a spell in the summer here in Saugatuck, but when it comes to the food, while it matches the vibe and is presented beautifully, tastes very average and is not value oriented aka on the spendy side. We came in as a party of 6 around 2pm and quickly got a table outside. Our server was sweet and kind, and quick to take our orders, but once that happened we really didn't see her all that much, which was frustrating. On top of that, the main dish on the menu that brought us here (goat cheese dip) was sold out after lunch, which was a major disappointment. We ordered the fried green tomatoes, deviled eggs, chicken sandwich (grilled), rueben, green bean salad, and a kids mac n cheese and chicken tenders. The best bites were the eggs and the green bean salad, but the portion on the salad was so petite that it was barely a meal for the person who ordered it. The chicken was dry and the sandwich incredibly generic. The reuben didn't have enough of the house corned beef and was also dry. Now I could be wrong here, but the fried green tomatoes seemed like a frozen product. with a uniform breading and cook, but the chicken fingers definitely were and the mac n cheese was quite literally Kraft. I'm going to hope that this is a hot dinner or brunch spot, because what we had was pretty disappointing. I was torn between here and the spot around the corner that featured a lot of local ingredients in a more casual setting, but chose this because it seemed to be more culinarily focused, and I was let down.
