Perhaps I caught them on a bad day. The young ladies working were absolutely lovely and friendly and extremely helpful. The salad bar was fresh and tasty. The spaghetti, however had a texture as if it has been boiled for 20 or 30 minutes. It was kind of a soft mush with spaghetti sauce on top of it. When I sent it back, they gave me a little bit of push back, saying that nobody has ever complained about that before. So perhaps they were just having an off day. read more

Listen, I know Ridgeland isn't a metropolis when it comes to food choices and restaurants but let me just say THIS AINT IT. It's over priced ($31 for 2 dinner plates half of which were rice) and the food tasted like glorified cardboard. I ordered the teriyaki chicken and I'm questioning if it's actually chicken. Run away from this suppose restaurant like your life depends on it. I'm pretty sure that your life does depend on it. Atmosphere was horrible. They make you pay for the buffet before were you actually get to walk in. That should have told me something. The majority of the dishes were soaked in a quarter inch of oil. The others were not only because they didn't use oil on them. Dried out food. Mislabeled food. Workers yelling at each other the entire 15 minutes I ate. Got my own refills of water. I was looking for a quick meal since I was driving for 16 hours to New York City, and I certainly picked a horrible place to have that meal. Did I mention the toilet water was leaking all over the floor in the men's bathroom? Or that the walls were covered in spots in various stages of dried agedness. I was positive there was a hidden camera somewhere filming me. This had to be a joke. But it wasn't. Do not eat here. Do not even touch the door. Run away now. Got off of I-95 in this pretty small town looking to grab some grub and rest for a minute. We didn't want another chain resteraunt so we tried a couple places that were closed (it was Sunday) and found this place... If you like typical run-of-the-mill greasy and less tasteful foods, then you'll like this place. The floor looked like it hasn't been swept, mopped, or vaccumed in a week and the restroom wasn't cleanly. We used to eat here all the time. The buffet was decent, considering the mold on the ceiling tiles, but now it's on drive through due to covid and it is a total ripoff. Ordered a general tso chicken combo and a house wing special. It was over $28. Also talked to other friends and they say the same thing. They treat customers as if they were vile and daft. A feeling of "where's the money? hurry up and hand it over so then you can feel the privilege of scooping some random slop unto your plate... " I figured they were just having a bad day the first time but it's happened several times. Which is why I'm confident that you'll be able to see it for yourself. My last experience was when I watched a woman take a seat and grab a menu to see what they have and a VERY haggard looking woman pokes her head out of the counter and says, rather nastily, "wha chu need?" As if she were rushing her, the woman told she was new and was simply looking through the menu. She dismisses the customer with a nonchalant "Fine" as someone else suddenly walks in. The man walks in and says "I'd like to have some buffet, please..." he looked up at the menu where it says "Lunch Buffet $6.99." And the manager guy whips out his hand and hurriedly says "twel dalla..." the man looked surprised and I literally caught the two curl their lips in disgust as they watched the man and muttered something condescending in Chinese. Right in front of other customers! Why? Because the man turned his head over to the buffet to see if it was going to be worth the extra cash. I never go for the buffet, so I decided to ask what was on his mind, because he seemed shy, and when I had softly inquired them what was the change, in order to help the man out, they pointed over to the small letters that said "dinner buffet 10.99" then he pointed to the TINY ass wooden clock and said "look? see? Es dinna time." And the patronizing tone was SO condense that it made me wonder how they were in business at all. "See? see ? see? dinnah tiem... SEE?!" He kept pointing. "You no see??????" (btw, it wasn't even dinner time lol) Everyone was outraged and stared but he seemed to think we just didn't understand? Several customers left, except for myself, I simply watched in amazement at the pomposity as others were also confused by his tone but carried on. The two behind the counter that had were being rude seemed to confuse my amazement for looking stupid and when I caught on to this, I couldn't help but just laugh to myself as I found a better place to spend my money. Look guys, I understand that you want your cash. Everyone does... but a little courtesy (and cleanliness) goes a long way. I came here to eat with a man that was going to buy one of my newly born puppies, so i brought $15 dollars to pay for myself and he drove me to have lunch here. The second we walked in it looked like lavender town from Pokemon. We still decided to stay and eat, I ordered an iced tea for my drink and what I got was vile tasting dirty water. I decided to just get water, and it still tasted like iron. The food wasn't even anything "New" or "Hong Kong" it was just oil covered rice with tough chewy meat. I ended up leaving because I decided to grab a singular oyster to eat, it wasn't even cleaned it was still greenish with algae on it. It smelled like it was dead for a few weeks.
