When I was young, I was taught by phy-ed teachers at a university and I received a lot of on land theory instructions. They also check the alignment of student legs body and arms and if required they brought students to practice on land. Foss is different and it lets you get in the water and practice and learn as you go. You do it and they correct you. It is perfect for young kids. For adults or youths with history of failure prior and need a bit of theory, I would not recommend.

We've had a kid in the summer swim sessions (there are three sessions a summer) the past three years. I love it because the teachers are great (I assume they are St. Kate's swim team members), its well organized, the facilities are nice, and the kids learn a ton because they go every day for 2 or 3 weeks rather than once a week for eight to ten weeks, which is what most swim lessons are like. It seems like the learning is stronger with the every day method. I've continued to be extremely pleased with the program, and plan to continue to have a kid as a participant for many summers to come!

He failed and was told he could not continue. The tests were done in a punishing way and under threat of failing. He has passed the brick test at three other locations with plenty of time. The instructor did not have any empathy or customer service. Pool does not have any natural light and is colder than normal. There was mildew on all the caulk around the pool. Stay away from this instructor and location.

I love that they don't charge you joiners fee and you can buy your membership several different ways. You can pay for a day pass, punchcard (certain amount of times), or by the months increments (1,3,6,12). A day pass I think is only $5. They also have free nights for anyone who lives in Brooklyn center on Saturday evenings. You are able to use both the pool and the fitness room it's from 5pm to 7pm. I originally bought a 10 inch pass. I liked it so much. I'm planning to now getting a year membership. It's a lot less crowded than other gyms . At least in the evenings. I've never been there other times of the day. I haven't had chance to do the group fitness yet, but I'm looking forward to trying it. I'm also planning to sign up for some swim lessons this year. I would love to learn this would be for summer.
