I usually don't wax my brows or upper lip regularly, and decided to for an upcoming special occasion. I found Thi through Yelp and am so glad I did! It was a breeze making an appointment on her website and I was able to find a time that worked for me 2 days in advance. Her studio is located inside a Salon Republic which has multiple suites inside. It was easy to find her studio with the help of the friendly reception at the front desk. Upon arrival, Thi promptly greeted me and we were able to get started on the waxing service. The bed she has is super comfortable and warm! She reviewed a few things from my client intake form and asked me about my past waxing experience. She was very gentle and took her time to perfect her work, and everything was painless. Don't let the number of reviews fool you. Keep in mind she is also a small business with her own 1-person beauty studio in the Salon Republic. I got the Wildflower Signature Facial and Thi really customizes the facial to target your specific areas of concerns. The ambience is so nice, minimalistic, and comfortable. The facial was so relaxing including a nice massage (scalp, neck, arms) and Thi really makes you feel at ease! She is obviously very knowledgeable on skin and skincare. I first started seeing her when she was at Bloom Skincare in Los Altos, and when she told me she was starting her own business I came over :) She is friendly, knowledgeable, and has a magical touch. Facials include massages (scalp, hand/arm), and it's so relaxing and a true pampered experience. The custom (with or without peel) is great, she examines your skin and will create something for you. She also does waxes, and sometimes I'll get my brows done at the same time as my facial. Super convenient! Another great thing is that she never tries to push products, brands, or services on you. She truly is just creating a relaxed and positive experience for you. She has a spot inside "salon republic", and it's clean and cute! I was so worried when my previous longterm esthetician retired and I had to find someone new. After a few disappointments I found Thi and I feel so lucky! I have skin that is very sensitive and breaks out and from our first appointment she understood and has helped my skin look great! I also have "fussy" eyebrows that can be hard to tint but, again, she got it right the first time. She remembers me and what I need every time I see her and listens if I ask for something new. Her space is tasteful and calming as is Thi. She is so personable but allows for the peace and quiet you need if you are not feeling "chatty." Along with customized facials with peels, she shapes and tints my brows perfectly. I love the neck, shoulder, and hand massages, too. I appreciate that has a medical background, keeps up with the skin care trends, and makes recommendations, but doesn't push products (or claim she has miracle cures for my lines).
